Amazing how the quality and speed increases exponentially each time you do something. From building an Ikea cabinet to changing brake rotors the second one goes in half the time!

You need an actual mixer to make enough for one whole pad, and use a squeegee to spread it. Also put foam backer rod in the joints so you don't have to dig that stuff out of them later and save some of that material from being wasted.

You’re improving the application. To critique your actions; 1. Invest in an adult leaf blower. 2. The surgeon general highly suggest you avoid anything that power spins next to your 5th member. It’s easier to adjust the position of the chuck than having to explain to your wife/girlfriend or friends the many dangers of mixing concrete. 3. Invest in some knee pads. Concrete, gravel, steel grates and silk sheets are the worst on knees.

Your vids are awesome man, I never got to see any of this work done myself. You explain and demonstrate it so clearly, it helps out a whole lot, compared to some other ppl who use too much technical jargon it gets hard to follow along.

You can thin it down and paint the other pads that are good other than color and make them match out to look the same...

When concrete floors are painted, do they become slippery in wet weather?

@@denizci2088 Not 100 percent sure, but I think he meant that you can thin the material down that he is using and roll it on the good sections to make them match the repaired ones.

seems to me it would be easier and smoother if you used a large sqeegy to spread and maybe a 1x4x8for the edges where old concrete is missing would keep it cleaner. i was also wondering in what stae you live as you are covering the expansion joints. i live in Colorado and they are a must if you dont want it to crack on the 1st freeze.. when I resurfaced my driveway I used 1/2 tubing in the joints and it came out looking really professional..

      @jeffdeshong  ปีที่แล้ว +1

I did not cover the expansion joints.

You need to work a lot faster. Spread it quickly and evenly then finish with the broom.

    Been a year…
How about a follow-up video on how it has lasted & endured?.
A year ought to “testify” as to how good the materials are & process is?.

I am about to use re cap for my parking pad. Do you put the caulking down before or after resurfacing?

You should not lift the float off the surface when flat it should be on edge to reduce lifting the product 🤔 hope this helps 👍

What did you use for the little patch in the corner at the start of the video you pointed out ? I have a small slab by the backdoor with a identical broken corner and will need to fix it before trying to resurface it like you

I just used a 2x4 as a form with some high strength concrete. I bought a bag at Home Depot.

i used "CEMENT-ALL" by "QUIKRETE" to fill chips, broken , cracked and missing concrete, let it dry over night then used "NEWCRETE RESUREFACER" to resurface entire driveway. SUPPER easy with a large squeegee followed by a garage broom for texture.. worked wonderful and has lasted 3 years... SO FAR..

For this application, I wonder if it will be a good idea to insert a backer rod under the self-leveling Sika? I have seen a lot of videos where people use those to save Sika.

Hi handsome. Great job. Question , were you supposed to let the primer dry 1st? I will look into this brand. My final comment, please after you finish your project buy some crypto:XRP, XDC, XLM. GOD BLESS YOU
