    After a gentle bleach bath and rinse out, I mixed T28 and T14 toners, half bottle each, with 2 oz 20 Volume Dev to cancel the orange, red, and yellow tones. I checked it every 10 minutes for a total time of 25 minutes. My hair is almost the natural baby blonde I was born with now! I love it! No more brass or funkiness and my hair is SO soft and shiny.

      How do I do a beach bath? Do you think it will work with the issues I have detailed below this message after this here… I was just needing to know something? I had started out a very black hair (dyed) color before I decided it was far too black for my light toned face and I took it down a few notches via a double processed bleaching, which only lightened it to a bleach blonde on my roots ,(due to natural growth. A dark brown) and lots of gray hair, a medium -dark orange, with some yellow here and there throughout, plus a couple of missed black spots under back of hair. Then I used a 7WR blonde over this mess, mixed with a 7N hair dye, mixing 20 and 30 developer. The color turned out a medium- dark orange dark blonde, with splats of yellow along throughout where I had natural dark brown hair with gray and what the bleaching resulted in (but was white). Now I’d really like to super tone down the medium orangey light reddish tones and now all I have to work with doing this is the Wella T28 (I really wish there was a way to upload a picture of my current hair color for more of a specific verification of what color it now is) However, I’m left wondering if it’ll be moot in applying the T28 onto my hair as it is, or am I going to have I be stuck sportin this eh okay hair color for awhile? Thanking you in advance for your hopeful message. And please detail your response please? I’m a little slow with this hair color business and would like to get it right all the way around.😢 With all that I did to my hair, starting with the 2 time bleaching (black dyed hair) to the hair color being a hopeful lighter reddish brown blonde it was after a not too lightened up not so yellow , but more orangey color, and seeking a tad lighter orangey darkish blonde/ extremely lightest brown (maybe bronde) hair color. Even so mixing the 7WR medium/dark blonde, with a 7N dark blonde color, and a little more toned color due to hair colors after bleaching, I am still looking at some orange. But I’m believing you responded to this authors post with a negative on using t28 toner on this color hair? Dang! I wish I could upload a picture. Let me know soon please? Thank you again.

    Hi! Thanks for this video. There really aren't very many videos about T-28, so your experience is helpful. I currently have level 8, 9, and some 10 after bleaching highlighted hair. T-18 with 20 vol was not enough- my hair now bright yellow, pale yellow, and white so I'm going to try T-28 with 10 volume when I bleach my regrowth. The color is very bright and cartoon-ish right now. (Think Frenchie in the film, Grease, when she goes blond and they tell her she looks like a pineapple.) 😏 I'm definitely curious about what color you are rockin' now. Have you found your favorite shade? Hope you're having a good week!

    • @christinabmarie
      @christinabmarie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so, so much for the comment!! Yeah..being bright and cartoon-ish is not the best! But maybe it's lots of fun! Right now I'm rockin' a Redken shade mix of natural blonde and something else...I actually went to a hair stylist this time around b/c I wanted to get bangs too. I think it looks great but it’s a toner not a dye. So you need to bleach your hair a lot lighter for t28 to look “natural”. Otherwise it will just lighten it and take out some brass. It’s not bad though.

    • @christinabmarie
      @christinabmarie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the tip!! Recently I've been wanting my hair to be slightly darker, so I've just been mixing developer (which lightens the hair!) with the toner and using that for fall. It lightens the hair color a bit and takes out the brassiness - just like you said!! :)

    From what it looked like after you bleached your still had some orange tones. This is intended for yellow bleached hair. I personally think this color looked really good with your skin tone but it is a matter of preference of course. I personally usually mix half and half with the T-28 and the T-18, you can also do a 3/4 mixture if you want more of one time than the other. Anyways…thanks for the video. You need to learn about bases. After bleaching, if you have a lot of yellow then you need to use a violet base. If you have orange/ red then go with a blue violet base. Anything called natural beige or neutral bases will not color correct. I hope this helps. PS, use a volume 10 developer next time with your toner. It's deposit only and won't lift the color. You still look pretty and have such a great bubbly personality!

      You seem to have a lot of knowledge of hair. How come the toner at Sally’s like the wella t18-28 say to use 20 vol developer?? Why would they say that when 10 is all you need to deposit color?

    • @LilMiss_XoXo
      @LilMiss_XoXo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@LifeRips 20 volume is needed to just lift and deposit the color. you can use either. like the commentor said 10 volume will only deposit. For some people they need that extra lift to tone their blonde and knock some of that brass out.

    • @Sara-kn9ss
      @Sara-kn9ss 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Liferips1993..... Wella recommends 20 volume with their tline because they are meant to be used on hair that is pre-lightened to AT THE LEAST A 9.
      If you have a raw lift-7 like she had at her roots then you have not lifted through all the underlying pigments. Therefore, when you mix with a 20 volume you are going just going to expose the next level of underlying pigment... The toner can't do its job because the developer is busy trying to lift what the bleach job wasnt allowed to.....
      Color theory says that putting warm on top of hair that is warm (raw gold) is going to give you REALLY GOLD.
      If you ever visit the wella professionals site you will see that they actually recommend a 6 volume activating lotion with demis, and most "toners" are demis.
      So if someone wants to tone with a wella toner, with the exception of t35 you must lift to a level 9 PERIOD. Then i highly recommend using it with their 6 volume activating lotion on 60-70% DRY hair. This os DEPOSIT only....... Make no mistake; a 10 vol CAN lift 1/2-1 level.... And it most definitely will if the hair is not lifted properly.

    Hi! I have a question, do u have to bleach ur hair to add different toner on ur hair if u already have another one? I have T15 in my hair but would like to use the t28 but I also have roots as well and idk how my roots and my hair overall would look if I used t28 over the old toner....I hope that made somewhat sense lol😂

    • @christinabmarie
      @christinabmarie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jay! If my hair is already light I don't bleach it again. Too much bleach can damage your hair. But bleaching it before toning it does help with the color you are expecting to actually happen. When I had used T28 one month and then T18 the next, the T18 lightened my hair...but not as much as it would have if I had bleached my hair first. Does that help?

      Hello sweetie, you can use the toner. Toner washes out in a 3-5 washes depending on your water which can start turning your hair brassy after a couple washes with purlpe or blue shampoo. I’m a stylist and I recommend my client’s do a toner a few times before I do a root touch up with bleach with me, it brightens and revives there blonde highlights.

    Most of the time, the YELLOW is from hard water. Hair grows about a 1/2" per month, so you WILL see regrowth, regardless. Highlights are highlights. Global bleach touch-up is completely different. I would not do this to touch up highlights. You should have just bumped your base to soften that line, and leave the bleaching to professionals. This is called "hot roots." It's not WELLA's fault, Honey. Violet cancels YELLOW. I would JUMP if I sent a client out with hair like that.

Just saying because it happened to me letting a friend do the back of my hair. You have to do small very small sections and be careful never touch the previously bleached hair. Also are use T 28 all the time and I love it but that’s because it’s meant for a level 9 or 10 blonde it’s definitely not meant to cover orange hair yellowish hair maybe but not orange and your hair is orange not yellow btw.

    Wella T28 is HORRIBLE! Just tried it.

      Oh dear!!! It's called "Natural Blonde" so you would think it would be the BEST Wella toner, but it's probably one of my least favorite. Did you end up finding a toner that you like more instead?

      Thanks for the comment!! I agree...it is basic! I prefer highlights to add more dimension. What do you put in your hair? It looks great in your pic!!!

    It looks the same as it did before you did it! I saw NO difference what so ever! You wasted time & money! And everyone who watched this time as well!

    I hope you’re okay. Your obviously on some kind of substance. I’m a previous addict I’ve been sober from many different substances and hope you are doing better.
