26 Miles on the Gore Range "Mosquito" Trail | Eagle Nest Wilderness

A three day, two night backpacking trek on the Gore Range Trail with my brother Jacob and friend Derek. We hike 26 miles starting where the Gore Range Trail intersects the Buffalo Cabin Trail all the way to the Surprise Lake trail intersection to conclude our hike. Along the way catch views of Dillon Reservoir from afar, get eaten alive by mosquitos, and take in the beauty of alpine lakes.

Lots of beetle kill on those long pole pines. Definitely makes it challenging to find a place to camp. Don’t want the standing ones to fall on you at night either. Good footage 👊
