Yes! Rion did a great job; just as nice with the voiceover and still so informative despite the audio challenges. I am from Tokyo, my mother is in Osaka now to meet friends and I sent this video link to her to update on current status. Thank you Rion! Very helpful!
I remember years ago, you had a bad time on livestream. And you said something like, “even if today is a bad day, tomorrow can still be the best day.” I remember that even when I have bad times. I hope you do too!! You did great here despite the setback. Thank you for a great video! Let’s keep walking!!
I always enjoy your videos. This one made me happy and sad in equal measure. Happy, because I love to see the spring cheery blossoms at Suakuranomiya, sad because I was supposed to be there on the very day you filmed, but had to cancel my trip to Japan due to ill health. Things have improved, though, so I hope to return in the autumn. And it's on the riverbank at Sakuranomiya that I made two new friends who have an apartment there, and after drinking with them I also lost the sound on a video I was shooting for my friends back home because the microphone connection failed. Happens to us all.
Don't feel bad as you are a great vlogger! Many other successful You tubers only do voice over or no audio at all. It was really great to see all the trees in full bloom. Your weather sounds like here too! It's really cold and rainy.
Rion, thank you for sharing all of your fun and adventurous videos! I’ve enjoy so many of these. I’m just now heading home from my first-ever trip to Japan! It was FANTASTIC! The 3.5 days we spent in your hometown city of Osaka were very special! What a unique city. Of course, we had to eat Okonomiaki, ride on the Dotombori river, and eat the best Kobe steak I have EVER had!
2:36 nice options oishiii foods Food Truck 😋! 4:33 Wow, so beautiful😍! 6:06 The beautiful Tsuruhashi attraction spot 👍! 6:59 Thank you Rion for telling the historical story of Osaka Castle🫡👍🤝! 10:06🎵🎶🤣! Rion, you are so cute😁👍👏, actually, this performer has been recorded in your previous video 😄! 11:45 The sakura on this street are blooming very beautifully, and the petals of the sakura are falling to the ground😍😌. 13:18 Latte + cheesecake = meccha Oishiii 😋😉👍👏! 20:28 Rion had a great meal of meccha Oishii steak and bagna càuda🍺, and I really wanted to eat the bagna cauda’s veggie dipping sauce😋! 30:50 🌸nodomoto sugireba atsusawo wasureru🌸💪🙂↕️👍👏! Thank you so much Rion for the Osaka full bloomed Sakura video, the second half of the video let me to appreciate the atmosphere of full bloomed Sakura 🌸😌🌸👍🤝!
Thank you Rion for redoing the Audio! That must have been a lot of extra work, but in the end it came out well! With so many people he park would have been very loud anyway, so this was actually better.
Rion!!! ❤ Oh my goodness... thank you for sharing that touching proverb! It brought tears to my eyes, and thank you so much for your encouraging words! Yes, we all go through this journey called "life," and we all have good days and bad days... your sweet, kind and comforting words made my heart smile and truly, thank you so much for being so amazing! Gambatte Rion, too, and I actually liked your voice over video! It was very soothing to just listen to your voice! Arigatoo ❤❤❤
Yo, real talk, you got me all emotional and crying throughout this vlog 😢Thanks for being so relatable. Your face when you felt that you were a broken record from the shock of losing the audio was so heartbreaking!😭😫 It is so hard during a bad day, but in the end, it will pass and grow stronger from it. Your vlogs have given me and many other viewers encouragement, strength, and inspiration to keep moving forward despite adversities. Seriously, I enjoyed the voiceover, and pretty please do more of them! You are too precious. Don't be so hard on yourself because despite the issue, this was still a great vlog. PS: Your reenactment of street performer😂😂😂
☝️🙏👑 Rion I think all of us subscribers and viewers would agree, it actually was delightful to have you return live with your voice and remind us all how wonderful it is to have you narrating your walks ... Sometimes a negative can actually become a BIG positive ... Let's keep learning together and let's keep walking 😊
In times like this you just have to say “Sh*t Happens”. You dealt with it wonderfully, and it was still an awesome video! You have such a wonderfully positive outlook on life and that’s 1/2 of why I can’t wait for your videos. Keep up the good work!
Everyone has bad days and sometimes things go wrong, don’t worry, Rion! I like your honesty and positive message for everyone and the voiceover turned out great! 😊 The Sakura is spectacular! 🌸 Wow. 🤩
Enjoyed the video Rion. I thought you handled the disappointment of no audio extremely well and your voice over was excellent. For me as a viewer, I was very impressed with the voice over you did. Well done Rion. Let's keep walking.
Despite the sound issues, the vlog looks awesome. You put a lot of work in each episode and packed it with lots of information. I thank you for all the work you do, and maybe one day I can meet you in person. 🙏
The loveliest Sakura video, so far!!! Even the audio troubles could not make any impact as related as its greatness. It is interesting how the travelers crowd is concentraited to a very spot around the Castle and in its park while there are so many more intimate places along the reversides and elsewhere to enjoy in Sakura watching. I am so glad that a fancy lunch with beer could improve your mood and recharge your energy after you became aware of the audio problem. After all, everything has been solved by your voice over, so not much damage. Hoping for another nice Sakura video in Kyoto, as well as that wind and rain might not make larger impact to the fully blooming there. Anyhow, let's keep walking !! GAOO...
I've been looking forward to your Osaka sakura video. I'm glad to see so many people enjoying ohanami near Osaka Castle. So beautiful. No worries about your audio issue. Shoganai. Your voiceover was great. I'm glad your meccha oishi lunch helped you to feel better. Hearing you say "ganbatte" made me feel much better after I had a challenging day. I'm looking forward to watching your next video from Kyoto. Arigatougozaimasu, Rion! 👍🌸
Your videos are always interesting and full of positivity! I’ve been to most places you visit but you always explain new things I didn’t know about. No worries about the missing audio. Like life in general, challenges always occur. The voiceover was fine. Good recovery and resilience!Look forward to more videos. Keep up the good work.
I went there on the 7th of April,2024 but I took a Osaka city bus from around JR Osaka station,Umeda,Osaka,Japan. So I entered the park from Ohtemon gate which is the west of the park around 14:30.I walked around it then headed for Kema Sakuranomiya park which is the northeast of the park near Keihan/Osaka Metro Tenma station or JR Osaka loopline Sakuranomiya station so on then I had booked Osaka mint Bureau for seeing its Sakura cherry blossoms. cheers
Rion - when your chicken turns out to be a potato 🥔 you will forget about it once it goes down your throat- Lol 😂 Just like one forgets after hot water goes down too :) I am going through a rough time as well hoping to be able to return to Japan 🇯🇵. Your words of inspiration are one of the things that keeps us loyal patreons - Henry and Joseph !
Thank you for this enjoyable walk with you, Rion. Don't worry, even if that happened, still, it was an awesome video which never fails to brighten up my day. Pink sakura trees are beautiful! 😊Let's stay happy!🦁
Don’t be so hard on yourself! I just found your channel and you are super informative! My first visit to Japan is coming up at the end of April. Thank you 🙏
Aw don’t worry about it Rion, your voiceover was great and really informative 😊 I saw Osaka Castle earlier this year so it was cool to learn a few new things! A great video as always 👏🏻
OMG, I went to Osaka Castle in Oct 2023 and I'm so glad it wasn't as crowded as in this video. I try to avoid crowds, so really good to know not to go at this time😂. One thing I didn't experience that appeared in your video, there are a lot more performers on the sidewalk. I've never thought anything about Sakuras blooming, but now that I see them, they're really beautiful. GREAT VIDEO👍🏽
At 29:28 in the video 🦫... So after a quick Google search, apparently, those animals are called, Nutria, an aquatic rodent, considered an invasive species in Japan
There’s a cool Ninja/Samurai store in the same building of the restaurant you couldn’t get into. First floor and on the right of the stairway when you enter the main entrance. Was there about a month ago during the Osaka Marathon.
Hi Rion, many thanks for your video I miss Osaka so much. I was staying once close to Kyobashi station, in OBP. Last time in Osaka, March 2020. Hope one day will return, greetings from Ireland
Hi Rion, I'm surprised to see you eating BagnaCauda in Japan, that is a tipical dish from north Italy, Piemonte region, it's rare even in Italy... Meccha Oishii!!
We went to OSAKA and we hoped to say “Seno Gao!” to Rion but we did not see him! Now we are heading to Tokyo! Much love to Rion from the OG subscribers in the Philippines!
29:45 I don't think the second one is a beaver, it has a tail that looks more like a rat than a paddle. I think this may be a “Nutria" a type of large water rodent.
I went to Osaka on May last year and there wasn't much crowd in Osaka castle that'svwhy we got to take good photos. But i would also love to see Osaka during Sakura season
Thanks Rion once again!! I was hoping to see Sakura middle of March but I left Tokyo disappointed. I was at Ueno but left just one day before you were there to shoot a video. Missed you to Gaooo together but let's keep walking anyway. And also not so disappointed though. I followed your lead to see some flowers blooming near the Kanda station. And I also able to take some Sakura shot at the Ueno Park and at the shrine too. Hope to visit Osaka next year around this time. And you have a nice walking trip at Kyoto. Arigato!!
After a long day during a long week, I wasn’t looking forward to burning the midnight oil tonight and needing to prepare for a 7:30 am presentation tmw, but your saiko sense of humor, suteki sanpo at Sakuranomiya, and heartfelt encouragement is giving me energy to power through with a smile. ☺️ Itsumo arigatooo & Let’s keep walking-Ganbarimashou! 🌸✨

I just came back from Japan. I went Osaka too. It was raining almost every day when I was there. I bought the amazing pass so I went to the expensive attractions like Aqua Liner, gozabune boat, visited the Osaka Castle and Tombori River Cruise to get my money worth from my pass. I couldn’t believed that Osaka Castle has so many entrances. I went there 2x to view the Sakura.
You dropped this, king👑

All good - think of it as a learning experience: a chance to practice doing voice overs...you never know when you'll need it again. As always...keep up the good work!
I’ll watch this on my flight to Las Vegas.
I was in Osaka and Nara during the last week of March. I was a week too early to see the Sakura and too early to run into Rion 😂. But I was able to catch the Sakura in Tokyo before returning home.
love watching your videos 😊👍
nice videos…keep up 💪🏻
Let's keep walking❤❤
It sucks that you had to deal with audio issues. Your video turned out lovely despite it. Your voice over was a nice change.
A small request: could you cover wisteria season in Japan? I know it's sometime in May, but that's about it.
Thank you for the video!
Everyone makes mistakes, still love the video. 👍
Arigatooo😊
Rion truthfully I like when you dub over I encourage you do so, so you can look around and take small notes on phone so you can dub later… I want you enjoy area rather talking to the cam..
We went to Osaka castle too early.. we didn't get to see the full bloom.
Rion, Japan already has its next Rui Hachimura.
Have you heard of Yuta Watanabe? He played in the NBA for a bunch of teams. He's very talented. Called the Japanese wonderkid of basketball.
Yes, he is a good player and very famous in Japan too! 😊👍
@@RionIshida Thanks for replying Rion and you are amazing!!
I've been staying in osaka this week and was in osaka castle yesterday !!! Your videos are very helpful....though daimaru basement floor at osaka station has so many good food we never really went far....
Have you ever tried the ayce wagyu and seafood from rikimaru yakiniku in umeda?
Donmai Rion! As a radio engineer, I've had dead mics on occasion. There's no worse feeling! At least we got some Rion ASMR voiceover for a chunk of it.
Terrific
Why does the sakura in Japan look a lot more beautiful than the ones in Canada? 😊 Thanks for sharing ❤
I do not mind the voiceover.. It was a nice change, Maybe sometimes change between voiceoeover and live speak
Hi Rion! We were at Osaka Castle yesterday and we have been looking for you since we arrived in Osaka. We are now sitting outside Osaka Station in front of the Green Bear watching your video 😂
I would love to visit Japan and experience the Sakura, but I can't imagine it would be even remotely enjoyable with so many people.😢
Ive been watching your osaka vlogs and planning to go there this month and i wonder if you know if in osaka is there swap meet market like in the us?
Hi Rion, I enjoyed the video. I would like to know if any of the Castles are used for official events like weddings or state holiday events. Or are they just tourists places?
As I known, now it’s for tourists place🧐
I think that animal is a Nutria 29:44
i was worried about your worst day comment but relieved it was not serious injury or something (insert robert downey jr relived meme)
🥰🥰👍👍
Will I still see some sakuras in 2 weeks?
Because of the rain, Maybe it’s until this week I believe!
That is so crowded.
