Even though Pastor Evans step down from ministry I pray he will never let go of God's unchanging hands. Be encouraged Pastor God never give up on you; his love is unconditional.

Yes His love is unconditional.. but this does not mean free reign for sin .. God is a God of love but also of JUDGEMENT !! and He is about to reveal all sin and abominations of the American church .. just watch .. there will be no more soft, ear-tickeling gospel and prosperity teaching after He finishes it all !!! We still love you and I admire you even more for walking what you talk. May the Lord heal and restore you as soon as possible so that you can return to us and protect your family during the process. Whatever happens, let’s honor this man’s legacy. He studied the Bible countless hours in order to reach us and teach us. He raised his kids well so they would not depart from the faith. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. He who is without sin, cast the first stone. He has still contributed more to the Kingdom of God than many of us ever will. I pray for his family and pray that Dr Tony Evans gets to make peace with God and the elders of his church and gets to live out his latter years in blessings.

My Bishop did the same. Unfortunately, his sin was exposed to the congregation. Nevertheless, he went into a season of prayer and fasting. God restored him.
Dr. Evans stepped down before he got exposed and that’s a way better look.
A sin, no matter how bad it is, shouldn’t be exposed to the congregation. The person that sinned has enough to bare already, without the congregation knowing. The only people the person is accountable to is God and the elders of the church. That’s it!!!!

I am not sure how to take this because instead of stepping down and going through the repentance process when he first committed the sin, he stayed on as pastor and is now just stepping down-why not go through the repentance process when it first happened? Why wait years later?
Likely as it’s just being exposed. Most people never give up their sin on their own. They are only remorseful once caught.
He’s not even detailing what the process is and how anyone is supposed to know if it was successful or accomplished anything.
Perhaps he tried to block it out and was so taken back that he could do whatever it was. The fact that he is felt the conviction from God & is doing what needs to be done is all that should matter now. Not an excuse but sometimes people go through such bad times in life that you become weak & it doesn't take much for the enemy to slip in & attack. Life happened in a bad way for him, let's accept he is doing right by it now & pray for him as he would for us. It is bad enough that the leaders of the church & prophets are always subject to greater attacks by the enemy. If God can forgive us when we repent, why can't we forgive him. Jesus died for us.
