  • I hunted in an old junkyard in Kansas and bought an old Quaker state tin sign that was in very poor condition. This sign had better days because it was without a frame very flimsy and faded. I will show you how to bring back life and luster to such a antique sign.

    Rob, the sign got nice.
As it was told below, the wooden frame valued the item very much.
    Congratulations.

That hand cleaner reminds of Gojo hand cleaner. The last time I used that was back in the late 1980s when I was a Mobile installer of Vinyl Tops and Sunroofs on cars. All the body shops and used car lots had Gojo. I can smell that stuff now..Haaaa The sign looks Awesome

Thank you ! I find it very interesting you mentioned Gojo last night before releasing this video I was wondering how well Gojo would work compared to this Purple Power . I remember Gojo had a non abrasive type as well as a more abrasive type. I also remember that smell haha. I did not mention it but Purple Power also has a fantastic smell ! Sign looks great it’s amazing how well they clean up with mild abrasive
Ive just cleaned a ford 100 truck sign with wash and wax car cleaner
    The worse they are
The better they come up if that makes sense!!!!!!!!!

Thanks my friend. I also remember Goop!!!! I should buy several different brands and do a comparison test sometime. It is the lanolin that gives the luster to the old paint. It also works well on porcelain signs. I ran out of time but will definitely build frames for the NEHI signs soon. Thanks for visiting. Have a great day.

The other thing I have notice is that you've changed your name. Are you joining the Mr Wilson crowd? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤕
That means I laughed so hard that it hurt. 🤣🤔. So one thing about it is will catch you out in the ranch partner. You might use some rawhide themes. Also I'm trying to help you and your algorithm. We'll see what the name change does. I've actually changed a few times on my channel this one. They were subtle changes. Maybe I should freshen it up again. Probably no time soon.

Thank you for noticing the channel name change!!! I might offer tee shirts and hats in the future with a old truck , a gas pump, and maybe a gas station sign and thought this channel name would attract more people to purchase them . I don’t think many people would want to wear a shirt with my name on it 😂😂😂😂

@@gaspumprob I think the sign turned out great. I thought it was a little dark and stain like Walnut at Spanish oak would be the same or similar. I don't know if it'd be copyright infringement but your shirt should have a gas pump with the hose and handle kind of outstretched as if somebody was holding it facing a T-shirt and it could say I'm here to pump ⛽ you up! Then you can have something in a different size lettering that said gas pump Rob TH-cam well now I guess it'd be ranch. My wife compared your pump ranch to Cadillac ranch maybe you have there. A classic Chevy Ford in Dodge truck maybe all three of them but one for shirt with the front grill prominent pulling away from a classic fuel pump at the gas station ⛽. Also with a tall post sign setting a little bit farther back into the shirt, a tall post sign. ESSO, TEXACO, PHILLIPS 66, SHELL, MOBILE, AND THERE'S ONE THAT'S MORE PROMINENT ON THE EAST COAST. I can't think of it right now but they were in the news because they lowered the gas prices during Thanksgiving to $1.99 per gallon. they are dominant around Pennsylvania and neighboring states but there is a competitor and it seems like they've got a gentleman's agreement to not cross a certain line but between the two of them they pretty much control the market. Whatever you think but just some ideas. Seriously you can have them printed out in Oklahoma there's a fantastic quality place to use better shirt materials and hats and so forth. I'll send you a marketing counseling invoice pretty soon 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I don't think anybody else to get that joke. 🧰😎

You are a thinker and very creative with your shirt design ideas 💡Thanks for the feedback. 1.99 really??? We are at best paying $4.50 on a Sunday sale at a local station. It’s still $5.00 or more a gallon out here.

@@gaspumprob we are roughly at the 250 mark. Between that and 2.75. it was on the news on Google and other places back around the first part of November that we could expect prices below $2 a gallon probably by thanksgiving. That has not happened. But the wholesale fuel cost has dropped. But I still hard to believe that gas prices are so high where you're at. 🤕🤕🤕
