I purchased my first Tissot because of this video and have now found I really enjoy this brand. I guess the price of the Frederique Constant has soared in price since the posting of this video, but that is also on my radar for the future. I believe you may have missed mentioning Seiko, which is my number 2 after the Tissot brand. Both brands are beautiful and for those complaining that these are above $500, I'd recommend waiting on a sale to get them down to as close to this price as possible. I just got my first Seiko Diamonds for about 430 sale price/has 1 Diamond at every hour marker and is underrated and absolutely gorgeous. I found this video very helpful after years away from the wat ch world.
My wife always says, the best watches for women are mens watches. That's where you get the quality. It's true. Women are still 2nd class watch citizens. Most watches for women are fashion watches (hello Daniel Wellington) and are trash, even the better brands are cheesy in comparison to watches aimed at men.
I believe all watches should be unisex. It’s just a matter of fit to the wrist. However there is a clear disparity between marketed mens watches vs womens. But these brands that I mention all have the quality for the consideration. I for one kind like the rados and Hamilton ardmores.
Some nice watches there, but I generally agree with another comment here that women should examine what is available in the men's area, particularly the 37mm to 39/40mm. Excellent video and a good range of brands there, but still, for those same brands you mentioned, women would probably do better looking at the men's range first. Except for Movado. Their link to MVMT has affected their reputation quite badly. My wife has one from a few years ago, and at a cocktail party for her lawyer's office she was asked what was she doing with a MVMT, I kid you not. She hasn't worn it since! Easily confused maybe? While her budget is more in the luxury end, I think at every level, the first choice of watches for ladies should be mens! Watch brands just put a far bigger effort into that segment of the market as it's the biggest and most competitive.
Very well said. Outside of the brands changing their mentality if there really should be a segmentation of genders, it’s up to us to convince our women that mens watches are an option. However if they like their MKs I’m fine with that too. So long as they’re genuinely happy. As for movado, great point. I missed that. I can’t fault them for buying MVMT but it does affect their rep. But as a movado owner, I see the value there that I just need put them in the list above other options under 500. But if you asked me for a higher price range, they’re definitely out.
I have bought my wife a couple of nice watches in the past but she always goes for her Michael Kors "collection". The ladies Tissot watches are really a bargain.

My own wife is the same. She does like watches, and always chooses watches in the size range of 37mm to 39mm meant for men or at worst unisex.
Love. Love. Love the style of your content!
That means a lot, Jamie. Thank you.

When you write under 500 bucks keep the promise. Lady Heart is 1000
Rado under 500$???
Try preowned
None are under 500 misleading
