In Adventuring Party he referred to it as a 'monkey's paw' type situation where like it's kind of punishing Cody by giving him exactly what he wants, and cause he's such just a mess of a man it just works perfectly. Like between Murph and Brennan they are so good at making him not a terrible person, but he just sucks (and I love him so much for it).
Murph and Zac play off each other with such a precise grasp of the dynamic (obviously with Brennan feeding it brilliantly). I think Murph sometimes gets overlooked in terms of his acting but this is a great example of what he can do. I also love the fact that he got a chance to bring a little hint of Pendergreens to D20
when i first watched this season i honestly blacked out from confusion any time cody talked after he got the questing blade but jesus christ cody is my favorite character
@laurenpaus7608 I think I agree. With Kugrash not far behind. Murph makes such amazing characters, hell, I love the Ball too. I love all the Intrepid Heroes and blm though, it's hard to choose.
If you like Murph playing the worst guys possible you have to listen to the naddpod Trinyvale campaign where he plays a sword dancer (stripper) high elf that was exiled from the elf city for injuring the elven prince during his performance. The main difference with Cody is that whereas Cody is the pariah and he gets better, Jens Lyndell becomes the de facto leader of his group and everyone just gets worse.
Real talk, I love Cody but one of the catalysts of me leaving a pretty toxic relationship was realizing that my boyfriend, unironically, talked EXACTLY like Cody. Same inflection, same victim complex, same self-centeredness, ZERO bit. I was in that relationship for like 6 months and then I started rewatching Unsleeping City, got to Season 2, Murph opened his mouth and I was like "I have to leave Right Now."
Out of character, Zac came to Brennan saying he should get the questing blade for S2 lol the first time the questing blade flies to Cody’s hand is Murph’s real reaction to finding out
Brennan's ability to perfectly play out Cody's fantasies as well as make a fool of him for wanting them is amazing
I love the music they play

@@edanjoan4475 that's a great point, that's such a difficult balance to create. Utterly unlikeable but still very much likeable because of it
Cody: says some real out of pocket edgelord shit.
Ricky: "...cool"
and then Cody stabbed himself with it and was prone under it for like half the fight
My favorite 2 rounds in Dimension 20 history
I loved listening to Lou saying "nat 1" so many times in fh s2. I had to step away for a minute, it was just too good.
Ricky and Cody have some of my favourite interactions in the whole of dimension 20
So underrated!
[As Bolo] "This."
The spell for Ricky to scream in was the absolute best
"Two sides of the same coin..." gets me every time.

Murph is such an absolutely incredible actor
Pendergreens’ and Moonshine’s hilarious chemistry was everything 😂
I always love Murph when he plays him and Zac are my absolute Gems and try to learn from them
when i first watched this season i honestly blacked out from confusion any time cody talked after he got the questing blade but jesus christ cody is my favorite character
i think he might be the best d20 character ever in fact

I suppose it's a matter of taste, but hey, even cowgirls get the blues.
Cody mind blasted you by talking, that's the power of the Night Angel.
I cant get over the immediate 'the sword' from Ricky there after Cody asked who he was apologizing to, comedy gold
Gotta love Brennan punishing Murph by giving him everything his character asks for
I love how much Murph is clearly enjoying being the absolute worst

Thank jebus, someone finally clipped "It's the thirsting blade. It hungers... for blood!"
I genuinely struggle to suppress anger whenever Cody speaks and that’s such a wonderful testament to how well Murph played him

@@elizabethlockhart2103wow new fear unlocked
@@elizabethlockhart2103the fact people exist like Cody outside of a bit or fiction will always terrify me.
@@elizabethlockhart2103 Our eureka moments can come from the strangest of places. Hope you’re doing well, and I’m sure you’re better off for it.
omg thank u for posting these clips, white man with a katana has always been precious to me xo
i love that it is described as for a japanese man to see a white guy with a katana just perfect
If you guys want more Murph Zac shenanigans I suggest watching the Hot Boys Summer Naddpod Side Campaign. Emily is actually the DM and it’s awesome.
Use the darkness to protect the light is some primo edgelord bait
Truly the Ricky foil
Cody walked so Dream could run
"Even JJ was afraid!"
that's how you know shit was getting real, the following episode where he fights with the triple sword is hilarious
As a white nerd, I tragically relate to cody. We've all made mistakes. 😔
At least I never spent any money on a sword though.
"I'm more of a Raphael anyway"
Thank you for the Cody content no one has posted any and I’ve been really fiending for it
Amazing character. Murphs absolutely best character.
So did the Questing Blade choose Cody, just to be petty?
cody is the questing blade’s rebound after breaking up with ricky lol
Out of character, Zac came to Brennan saying he should get the questing blade for S2 lol the first time the questing blade flies to Cody’s hand is Murph’s real reaction to finding out
@@brodi4564 and Emily's, lol, which is the real show
YES! YES IT DID!
@@kevinomalley1090 wow
I need there to be a “boys night” with Cody, Ricky, and Pete like we got for fantasy high
Cody is the fucking worst and I love him 😂
It's an absolute tragedy that Murph didn't grow his hair long until AFTER this season.
My word, the no context POV on this was insane for me. So funny
The mega evolution!
I cant believe they put Guts in D20
A white man with a weapon that is only usable by someone with supernatural luck or a death wish. Or both.
i love cody xD
The playback speed is killing me
