i love that he genuinely doesn't want to upset gorgug and is heartbroken/embarrassed when he gets the name wrong, riz is on sight because he 'has a harsh energy' and didn't want to eat a grape in sophomore year lmao.
He was right that the grapes were drugged they just didn't actually work
I feel like there was a few more things Riz did than just that, but yeah...
Telamine had a bad experience with both Gorgug and Riz last season, and for some reason he decided to try hard to patch things up with Gorgug and absolutely roast the shit out of Riz
You could tell he’s been waiting to use that “not your house” line for a looooong time

To be fair it's probably because Gorgug did absolutely nothing to deserve his scorn, and Riz behaved, as he put it, "like a little dick".

to be fair, he never had a problem with gorgug. he fully understood why gorgug was getting annoyed about his name being mispronounced, and consistently tried to correct himself. riz just had a harsh vibe.
i like that riz is canonically just one of those people with Annoying Vibes. i love that little fella but every npc immediately has beef w him and its so funny
Just like his foil Kipperlilly. Both are relatively polite to people they’ve just met and immediately those people have beef. I guess all rogues are just type A and have beef with everyone.
@@simonsonian8977well the bad kids immediately hate kipperlilly because they’re bad people, they’re just afraid that they won’t be the center of attention, also they treat most npcs badly

Personally I think Fabian and Kristen have far more beef with NPC's.
Riz makes good impressions on a lot of npcs, Skrank, Biz (we don't need to talk about him though), Garthy, Cathilda, Sandra, penny and most of the 7 I believe, all like him almost immediately (Ostentatia included because she didn't need to even be convinced that much to help him, made sure to write the message, made sure to say hi to him when she was not poisoned again and then invited him to a party, to add to the point she's a dwarf who likes him and we know dwarves have major beef with goblins even in Elmville ), her dad likes him. Gilear liked him since season 1 and then the next season made sure he had water and was fed and put him to bed when Riz was having a break down.
I think he's also made the least enemies out of the Rat Grinders so far when considering the other 5 are going hard on the insults to their faces.
All teachers and parents are pretty chill to him too, which as it turns out is not true for all the parents when talking about the other kids friends. Sklonda throwing deep shade at Kristen and Fabian, Sandra being deeply done with Fabian and kristen, Cathilda having a tiny bit of beef with Fig but that was two sided.
He convinced all the skater dwarves / Torek that hated goblins that he was cool ("Goblin or nay, that was tight as hell!")
The almost definitely fantasy racist pastor woman in the first season liked him for the little screen time she had.
Goldenhoard, zero beef with him until he told him he kidnapped the 7 and ate his dad and then Riz ate his face.
Big fan of Adaine turning to Aelwyn like "watch this it'll be great" as Siobhan anticipates another solid 5-10 minutes of High Elves Pronouncing Things Wrong
Being the daughter of a Fallinel diplomat I suspect it might have been a small sense of humorus relief. Siobhan plays her well.
I love how it was taking Brennan a minute to come up with the funniest way to address Gorgug and he settled on “he now has a machine to do it for him”
then segways to grape-nip
They slept on Adaine’s snobby little, “They’re just as good as us!” which killed me dead.
Maybe because everything adaine says is like that even though she talks down to almost every other character
Also he just said woodland elves, there’s was no tone or anything on it, she was just trying to cause a problem for no reason

@@Butterratbee Especially given that the previous Oracle was an absolute badass (that we know of). And the main reason why she couldn't predict the ship crashing was because it was literally hidden from divination and such. Still like Adaine, just feel like she should learn cultures a bit better.

honestly though, Telemine wanting to get Gorgug's name right and going to the extent of using a piece of tech to be able to say the name correctly in the hope of not upsetting Gorgug is so sweet.

isn't it canon in FH that goblins experience racism, and high elves in particular are played up as the epitome of Racist White Rich People? (obviously there are exceptions, just as there are in the real world) Like, Telemaine definitely gives vibes of some of the older church people I've met in my life. I would not be surprised to hear him and my grandma talking very seriously about "those poor children in Africa" as if every African child is starving to death in the desert and has never seen a cellphone.
I think it's because of Rizz being rude to him last season when Rizz mocked their Elven dance, so Telemaine called him a little dick. I think the "not your house, little guy" was a callback to that and a reminder to behave this time around and not randomly shoot his gun and make fun of Elven culture. It could also be racist.
