@@pedromeneses4247 it is little bit difficult, how chaotic, heavy and fast they are. and raw to the bones. there is really big learning curve, but i don't mind it.
Easily my favorite Converge song.
Even through the distortion, we can hear Jacob and his pleading "cleans", and the vocals are really sad. You can tell, that each word has insane emotional weight. What Converge can also bring is the unleashed intensity:
the way how Ben is smashing his drum kit, with drilling bass from Nate and heavy riff from mr. Ballou at the end of the song, is just so PHYSICAL. Nate has also the best back up vocals in the genre, his growls and chemistry with Jacob is pushing the intensity further.

Some people thinks Jane Doe is their best album. But honestly, I think _All We Love We Leave Behind_ is their best album. Their masterpiece with no doubt!

i think when all is said and done, Converge will be the greatest heavy music group of all time in terms of longevity, creativity, honesty, and brutality.
When I first listened to Converge I didn't really like it. But It just kind of grew on me... This and Wretched World are two of my favourite songs right now.

I remember 12 years ago watching this video, it completely broke my heart, it reminded me as a kid waiting in the streets for my alcoholic mom to come back, just to beat me up, while waiting, I was anxious, nervous, sad, angry, having a thousand thoughts at the same time, I was 11 years old, I’m 38 now and it’s been really hard to get rid of my intern child, and it stills pursues me. The video and lyrics expresses exactly how I feel and how I felt. The representation of a lost kid looking for answers is just the perfect example of what turns us into an aimless arrow.

the last 30 seconds are so fucking good.
I listened to this a a year or two ago and was turned off by the vocals. For some reason it just clicked recently and I'm so thankful. I've become very quickly obsessed with this band. Some of the most genuine and heartfelt music out there. KEEP IT UP BOIS.

CaotsIII I can't really say that I ever switched from non-Christianity, because it's a belief that I've grown up with. I've had phases of my life where I became apathetic about beliefs and just lived for myself, but I would always find myself wanting to live for something greater, and I simply have never been able to comprehend the universe without a God creating it. I could go into greater detail but this is just a TH-cam comment.
As for the band, my beliefs really have no bearing on what music I enjoy or anything like that. I love hardcore music for the energy, passion, honesty, integrity, and the art. Bands like Converge deliver all of it in spades.
I hope I answered your question to some degree, I'm happy to have a pleasant conversation on youtube! Most people would have dragged the Christian youtuber through the fire right away.
They have older albums, but I would start with these and then go back to their older stuff because there are definitely some goodies there! Hope that helps!

I saw Converge in DC two weeks ago and in case anyone was wondering, they are still incredible and their live shows are still more punk than any other genre

Converge hasn't changed a bit. Been a fan since '04. I love how raw and powerful they are. On a side note, I can't believe it has already been 3 years since their last album... Time flies!

They broke up a long time ago, but you can find a handful of their songs on here. they are awesome. Their album is called Goliath. Hope that helps

Nothing wrong with this band. Vocals are on point here as well as the musicians. Very technical. Very unique. It reminds me of a more hardcore version of Rapeman with Steve Albini on vocals.

There is a difference between appealing to teenagers and being MADE for teen. Theres nothing wrong with melodrama, it's a narrative aspect, it doesn't mean it's made for teens. Converge appeals to Teens, but it's not made for teenagers, it's made for people who appreciate harsh music with passion. It's poetic, it's MATURE, regardless of drama or whatever. BMTH, and their lyrics in particular, are very much made to appeal to teenagers, since I don't think they have much maturity.
