Any complaints or upgrades you think your car need as to how the suspension or brakes feel ? Wonder what you guys get as mpg wise maybe around 350 miles out of a full tank? I’m thinking of buying a 04 with 50k miles on it
I just bought a 2003 with 200K miles on it. It was well maintained and drives beautifully. Really well built vehicle, rock solid and reliable. Great review, new sub.
@@pitohead8979 It's driving wonderfully. I went ahead and had the timing belt and water pump replaced. Couldn't find any record that it had been done so I erred on the side of caution.
From an artist’s perspective I think that Toyota’s designs for their luxury offerings were excellent and par-the-course around this time. Their understated, rounded, boxy shapes are very masculine and conveyed strength and dependability while also looking smooth and aerodynamic. It seems “boring” I guess but it’s exactly how I would like my ride to look: Tough and practical, but deftly elegant.
Mike C long story, I got one as a temporary car because I was tired of driving my SUV. the guy that was selling it sold me a silver 2003 one for under $3k and it had some scratches and bumps, but not too bad. I just replaced the front rotors, got an alignment, Cabin Filter, air filter, cleaned it up nice over. It had a check engine light but drove smoothly. I drove it for a month and listed it (emphasizing the bench seat) sold it for $3k, basically broke even. But now I’m in search for one that is in good physical condition with lower miles. This is a really underrated car and generation. It’s not just for old people lol. I actually enjoy driving it more than my Jetta GLI.
I have a 2004 Toyota Avalon XLS. Has 400,000+ miles on it and drives great! People don’t realize if you take good care of a car it’ll last you no matter the mileage
Just bought a 01xls with an interior that looks and smells brand new. Very excited. Especially since our 2017 suv we bought brand new, right now at 100k is going through oil.thats sold on the 30th of this month, bought the avalon with cash, done with cars and payments for hopefully 5+ years
@ShivamSingh-yg3tv I bought an 04 avalon with 116k for $4k 1 year ago but it needed a little work. Don't pay over 4k unless it has new shocks, rack & pinion & timing belt done otherwise you will most likely have to replace those things
I like the review, it might be best to revise the title to show which year of Avalon it is. I owned this car all of high school and it’s a perfect first car.
My 02 Avalon was pretty floaty around corners when I first bought it. I put new struts on that motherfucker and it’s actually pretty fucking planted. You have t take suspension wear into account when it’s an old vehicle like that.
My 2008 Lexus asks for Premium but I've run it on regular for years and it's doing just fine. Usually for these cars the premium ads like 7 horsepower, but it can run as low as regular.
This is exactly the type of my car but will 6 plugs. My car always jetting and when it start jetting all the car will be vibrating. Please anyone with ideas how to fix the problem
My 2000 xls has 325000 miles and still runs perfectly. I love this car.
I just bought a 2003 Avalon XL with Bench Seats, 1 Owner older lady with under 45,000 miles in good shape, I’m psyched!!
same bro, i just bought a 2001 with 55k miles on it

@@timetowakeup6302 hi mate much it cost for the timing belt?

$800
If you keep it well maintained you could probably keep it well into 300,000. Mines a 2000 with 290,000 miles and still drives good
Back in the day, it was an eye catching design.
It still looks good today.
Still looks good today if taken care of, many of them aren't unfortunately.
My 2000 Toyota Avalon has 206000 miles and drives beautifully. Smooth going 90mph

Yes
I bought an 2000 avalon xls with 216k im at 235k still running like a champ!!
I love my 03 Avalon fully loaded 125,000 KM on her, theres no car that exists today as good as it
No car!!!
I disagree the 07 Avalon would be a better car and is very quick of the line. I had 2 01 avalon. Now I own a 2007 avalon touring.
I had a 2000 XLS through highschool, dad got into an accident. It was hard to let that car go. Got another Avalon!
I bought one recently with a Bench seat and ended up flipping it...now I want one for myself. This is an excellent generation of Avalons.
Whoa, how did you flip it?

My uncle used to have one. I miss it
Love the camera angles and the reviewer is spot on. Let’s see more of both

Hey, bro. How much did you buy it for?
@@markrenteria2403 it wasnt a steal by any means. 4100. But interior is flawless.
@@showcivicred oh wow. would you consider a 2013 avalon hybrid at 7900 to be a steal? it's hard to find gems haha.
Inherited the 2000 model had it in storage now putting back on the road only has around 70,000miles
Take care of the regular maintenance needs, and it’ll easily provide 200,000 miles of service. This generation of Avalon was very good.
Looking at an XLS now with 98k for $5900 or BO. Will offer $5500. Nice review, thanks.
Did you get it?
@@SPOT305 Wound up finding a 2006 with 45k miles for $7k. Has a couple dents but runs beautifully.
Where did you find one tho? I'm looking at 2004 xls with 125k miles for almost $7k. Do you think I should get it?
@@ShivamSingh-yg3tv No, that's too much. 5500 max

Thats for pointing that out. I see I didn't finish writing the title since I always include the generation and year range. Its been corrected now!

Not gonna lie even now for what it is it does look kind of cool it kind of grew on me
I enjoyed the video and I have one of these cars and I love it very much Thank you for the advice
Toyota recommends premium gasoline do you concur? Will the Avalon run into problems if runs on regular gas
I believe regular in the Avalon is fine

Great review!
I got lucky with my mileage, I got an ‘04 xls when it only had 124,000 miles
I'm getting the same thing for $7k. How much did you get it for?
2nd gens are unmatched
First, also, liking the Solomon hat.
Found your Prius review quite well done. Just saying. Great review.
Glad you liked it!
Solid vehicle I've owned two🔥🔥

I'm s little nervous.. I bought one with 324k....Any thoughts?
It’ll keep going! No need to be nervous
@@BernonCars Thanks. It runs like a sewing machine.. No lie..
Keep driving it, keep maintaining it. It's a Toyota.
As long as you do the maintenance it's better than most brand new cars
Keep the oil changed and you're good to go!
Hope you get more subscribers
Thank you for that. Just glad to have those of you that are here!

Nice 1st car!!
What type of gas ⛽ do you use for it
