      it's only 0.5" lower than a stock Mach 1. In Mustang world that's a mild drop though the Mach 1 is 0.5" lower than a stock GT. Ether way the build is amazing. Need to buy more parts from Steeda for my Mustang.

    • @stoneeh
      @stoneeh 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@bnight2 whatever someone may consider normal, low ride height often leads to technical deficiencies. If such a suspension setup still offers damping compliance, it will bottom out under high loads, and else it just becomes too stiff. A lot of technical trickery with bespoke parts and custom adaptive suspension has gone into the Steeda build to allow it to still be compliant and prevent bottoming out.. and it still did bottom out once actually, at Pflanzgarten. Other ways to deal with the issue would be dampers with external reservoirs, or push rod suspension, etc.
      And let's get real here. 1 or 2 cm lower ride height might introduce said problems, but its supposed benefit, lower center of gravity, just isn't meaningful. No, this is all show & shine, for weak minded people with good credit that don't even drive these cars, except probably the occasional traffic light "race". The only place you ever see cars like these at is in the city, where all that matters to the owner is that it's low, flashy, and loud. It's understandable that Ford or Steeda will address those audiences, because they're businesses, but in general, let's not legitimize the 2F2F crowd, especially not on a legitimate racing channel where it's 0% about optics, 100% about performance.

    • @bnight2
      @bnight2 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@stoneeh i strongly suggest you check my channel and see the stop and go traffic I do. My car is at the top 10 cars on any time attack I do. Moving to lower stiffer suspension dropped 4 seconds of lap times on 2 km long circuit with lots of stops and very uneven track surface. If you look into the Mustang GT4 it’s even lower and stiffer than the Steeda Mustang by a lot. And as we can see the amount of grip that the Steeda Mach 1 has is insane. Also the Mach 1 has a lot of mods to correct Center of Gravity and Bumpsteer to mitigate the issue that the lowering added. It’s clear from Misha video that this is a very fast horse.

    I have a GT350 will all of the Steeda suspension including the DSC. The 350 is lower from the factory so I ended up adding back in 1/2 inch ride height after the camber plates took it away. The car is amazing in how flat is stays and how much mechanical grip there is. Comparing this to my .2 gt3rs I feel it's a great bang for buck. I don't have the same worries I do about "if something happens". It really is a drive it to the track and home or go on a 3 day mountain road trip car.
