The creek that Grace qualified as a river was probably more stressed out than Grace when it was hit with the realization that it could never stream as well as Grace could.

Thank you, Grace, for being so generous in sharing your ongoing journey. As someone who has been a viewer for over 10 years and has become ill and disabled along the way, your continued sharing gives me hope.
Absolutely! Their writers are lost without being able to take entire chapters directly from the books. It showed at the end of Thrones, and it's showing now!
@@irvingwashingtonable I remember reading an interview way back when Thrones was airing where he said someone predicted the ending on the Internet. The question was if anybody ever guessed it right. He said somebody got it way back in the 00s on some random message board he found when he googled it out of curiosity... He's a planner. He's had the story planned out for decades & knows how it goes he just won't sit down and actually write it. 🙄
@@KatieBeeTV having an idea of what would happen is different than executing on that idea. HBO had a not terrible idea of how the ending should go they just didn't do any of the groundwork to make it make sense. For GRRM, I'd argue not writing the ending down at all counts as sucking at execution.
To me the best part of camping is it quiets the voice that says “I should be doing x y or z” bc you literally can’t. But also setting up a tent together is a true test of a relationship lol and for me edibles are a key to a good nights sleep camping
as someone whose family used to camp a lot as a kid; you can never over-prepare too much for camping. There's nothing like having something break or the weather go bad, and you actually HAVE the things that makes it better with you. Camping can be seriously miserable if you're missing something critical and have to live without it.
I just hosted a queer camping retreat in california and one of our stops was king's canyon/sequoia! Seeing those big ass trees that are thousands of years old blew my fuckin mind fr. Congrats on having a successful first camping trip together! It's great that Elliott also got to unpack some stuff that was weighing heavily on his mind. I hope you continue to vlog your adventures for the duration of the camping hyperfixation!
As an occasional camper, trust me you need basically the same amount of stuff for 2 nights as you do a week. All that really changes is the amount of food and firewood you bring
during the initial tent set-up clip i fully believed you guys were just going to be camping in your backyard and i still believed it would be somehow life changing
Grace! ❤ you are starting to look so much like your mother 🥰 so sweet after watching for 10 years now something I wanted to share. Much love. Take care!
Im really into stand up now and ive gone to a lot of shows the past few years, seen a lot of big names.. but i am so proud and honored to say that Grace was the very first stand up show that I ever attended! How fricken cool is that?!?! The unfiltered show in Portland oregon.. wow❤ love you grace
Awe yea a nature adventure!! The bathroom part, the "tasks and snacks" part, and many other parts were spot on and had me cracking up. I hope you and Elliot have many more fun nature adventures, nature is so sweet 🌠
Is the striped shirt and bangs giving anyone else flashbacks to 2013-ish Grace? Got the nostalgia feels over here :') Love these Fridays with you, Grace!
Grocery shopping for camping is always over kill. You buy/pack what you think is enough for 3 days and then, somehow, return with all of it. I'm not convinced we eat when we're camping, tbh 😅
I love camping! And you look so comfy with all your things! I think with time you'll learn what you enjoy bringing with you and slowly the list will grow shorter
Incredibly serene, idyllic scenes of nature with some incredibly urban music. Now that's art! But seriously, a really entertaining video from the get go.
The power of checklist is so helpful for me. I solo camp in my suburan and I have several organized storage bins that really help make it easy to just throw stuff in the car and go.
As someone who goes camping and backpacking quite a bit, your first few times you will always overpack before you figure out what you truly use. You will also realize there are things you wish you had no matter how prepared you think you are 😅
Just had to pause the video at the sight of everything packed up in the car: we went camping with our two young kids (and some other family) this summer, and like your trip it was just two nights. We had to have my dad bring some of our stuff in his car because our station wagon was filled up completely 😅 we're also fairly new to camping, so that might be why 😂
I grew up going camping at a lake near us. Some of my favorite memories are from our camping trips. My husband hasn’t ever been and he doesn’t want to go lol. I’m going to get him out there one of these days
I did the sleep on the ground camping a couple times. There was always a root under the tent where my sleeping bag went. And then I got a minivan and an air mattress and it changed everything. But I'm proud of you!
If you camped in our neck of the woods you would need to pee in the woods.. Also you would have to bring your food inside of your tent because black bears are wondering around. Love this video.. Cheers from Northern Canada.
06:25 - Definitely not a river, or a freshet. Obviously a water course, maybe a spring; but probably not a wadi or an arroyo. Some might call it a rivulet, or a rill, or runnel, or rindle. A few might even consider it a brook, or a branch. Possibly a creek, or crick. Could be a stream, but compared to a river - it's just a trickle, a confluent, a channel
I just love you, Grace! I laughed at so many points, I also felt seen and understood, like... see, it's not just me! :) Anyway, I'm just happy that you posting again regularly, that you are healthy and enjoying yourself.
The best thing I read lately about anxiety is that it can help to do everyday things more slowly like not creating your own hectic environment does sth for your stress levels it’s really hard though if you are no used to it
The proper way to make s’mores is to assemble it, wrap it in foil, and then cook the whole thing over a fire. Putting a hot marshmallow on solid chocolate is like the vegan gluten free version of a s’more.
As a neurodivergent person, grace’s videos have always given me so much peace and joy, I remember watching her videos when I was 19 (I’m 30 now btw) and feeling less weird or different and the fact that to this day she is able to still give me that comfort and understanding is amazing. 🥹💖

ooh! 2 things help me sleep when camping - an eyemask and foam earplugs. I don't usually need them both, but they're with me whenever I sleep outside my own house. On my last trip the crickets were so loud, I was really glad I had them with me. And you're 100% correct, walking in the dark to the outhouse is TERRIFYING! Thanks for sharing 😅❤
The part where you said you always feel the need to always be available to everyone at any time? Felt that. It’s a big reason why I have had my phone in Do Not Disturb mode since March 😂 has it helped curb the anxiety? Yes! Has it completely eliminated that unconscious feeling? No! Baby steps
I camp pretty regularly and I gotta say "shitting on a pile of human shit" is an epic quote 😂. Nothing really prepares you for a vault toilet. That said, you gotta dig a hole and shit in it for the fullest camping experience.

You just leave it packed in your closet and the next time you go camping all you have to do is put your suitcase in the car. (And a few more things!) Another tip if you’re lazy like me, you could also only bring a set of day clothes and a set of night clothes and plan on not showering. It really cuts down on the amount of things to bring!
