If there is time travel towards the past, it's necessarily messing up.
This is actually a well done version of it. it's simple and clean.
@@xeniamartin5297 Until you think about how, if Ethan died before Ethan got there, and Regina's plan was to escape to the future, why was there no Regina future group or Jude skeleton, and how did Ethan arrive after his own death, yet manage to avoid that death and change history, if the point Ethan arrives in the future is after Ethan arrives in the future and dies?

It was the same during covid. We had curb side pick up for mixed drinks(tiny bit of scotch tape making it closed container) and even liquor, but it was hell to pay to even adjust your mask even in a park by yourself or someone you lived with.

_"synthetic oxygen"_
What? Oxygen isn't some weird magical substance. We can synthesize oxygen right now. It doesn't make us cough up blood either.
The coughing up blood could be due to all sorts of other problems not related to the oxygen itself, but certainly some sort of flawed oxygen creation process, probably due to heavy metal contamination among other things. Granted the process of turning water to oxygen is well understood so who knows what they were trying to talk about.
Solar panel plus electrolysis gives pure oxygen. Not rocket science
There's plenty of oxygen. The real problem is the accumulation of carbon dioxide. Before the industrial revolution it was around 200 PPM; now it's around 400 and even healthy people start to get dizzy at around 1000.
Less than .1 % of the atmosphere is carbon dioxide

Stop. you giving me a headache just thinking about it.

Synthetic oxygen? Do they fuse carbon and helium to produce the oxygen? And how would that make the oxygen "synthetic"?

Even then there's no such thing as "synthethic" oxygen. You can do the worst possible reaction made, and O2 will be O2, so if the summary is correct, the movie was made by some reallyyyyy dumb people
Wow. A disease called 'The Sickness'. That's VERY creative. REAL effort put into it. Not something like 'Popcorn Lung' or 'Slurry Breath'. Just 'the sickness'.

6:57, I really like how the movie portrays the other side of time travel. The confusion and fear one must feel to actively see an event manifest out of nowhere. Even some sense of relief probably, at least in knowing they're alive and still can do something must be somewhat relieving.
Whole time travel thingy was ridiculous stretch even for action movie
We can time travel, but cannot do a simple chemical process to make 02. You can chemically make oxygen, like pure oxygen. My brother (a chemist) can do it in his kitchen.
The premise is ridiculous. There are more than a few ways that are particularly trivial in a society with an industrial capacity in which carbon can be scrubbed from the air, and turned into oxygen. How else do they think the ISS stays operational, without a single plant? Whoever wrote this movie has the mind of a child

Must not know that plankton makes up 70% of the earth's oxygen not plants.
Ah.... details. Also it took ~400 years for completely new leafy plants, that looks suspiciously like todays plants from plancton or other lower life forms. Evolution really worked overtime for this....
This story is quite similar to another ridiculous time travel story, but way more dark and serious. Reminds me of "A sound of thunder"
Definitely better than watching the actual movie.

Holy shit my sides, hahaha
I remember watching a recap before. Thank you for reminding me about this movie as it looks pretty good.
The movie name is: 2067.
Don't ask me why these f**king movie recaps can NEVER show it.
my guess is to make people comment whats the movie or movie title. creating engagment.
More likely to find who doesn't pay attention as the title and the release year are clearly shown at the bottom of the screen at the start EVERY TIME.
It did, at the start of the recap, so you failed in your whine there buddy.
Get up get down with the sickness
This was surprisingly a great movie. I didn't have a lot of hope for it as it was a movie I had never heard of before and just took a chance on it. I see that there are a lot of "Keyboard Warriors" chiming in with silly comments... but in truth, it was a good movie. I would recommend it.
The movie premise is as logical as all the sunlight stopping on the planet. Even the reactor for the city makes little sense since you can just use solar power, or other diverse means of energy production ontop.
No climate change
No deforestation
No nuclear war only
FUTURE
METRO!!!!
I don't get it, no Oxygen. Then how does that guy still burn when you need Oxygen for fire to burn.
They should have said the Oxygen that is there isn't good for humans to continue living.
In that case you could go with a filter mask. Or you could invent some convoluted crap about chemical fires....
The setup makes simply no sense.
Kind a impossible for oxygen to be dwindling while still having sources of drinking water if there was lower oxygen there would certainly be little to no water left which means humans should have already died. This also means this is a major plot hole.
There is a way to produce synthetic oxygen by dissembling other molecules, however if you can do that you can most certainly create anything at that point such as making plants again or do anything really because you have basically unlocked the fabrics of reality and can basically do what they do on star treks replicator.. So that is kind a of a major plot hole thing there.
The time travel isn't fully accurate as any changes shouldn't be existing in that time line as it should have fractured off into a new time line and that one continuing to be a place where humans are extinct I understand they wanted to make it into a happy ending.. but honestly from what we know that wouldn't happen and considering that there was already a Ethan there would show that was a convergence point from other time lines as well in this case there should have been other Ethan's there unless this would mean that there was only 2 time lines that ended up almost identical while others continued as normal meaning they did not send a Ethan because either that time line we are already extinct or didn't require making that time machine.
One major plothole? I see a thin thread of plot spanning a black hole, trying to cover it up.
Imagine watching the city suddenly change from decrepit to flourishing in less than a millisecond
No oxygen, yet fire burns fine.
It's very much possible to use a non oxygen, oxidizer, and reacting agent. But in a setting like that everyone would probably be living in a vat of extremely toxic acid 24/7 and fires would be the least of their concerns. But any exposed skin to such an environment, as well as any other tissues ought to be melting. And I'd bet all the structures would as well. You got to see some of the people melting from a similar situation during WW1.
Movie name please...🤨
What’s the name of this movie?
What the F is synthetic Oxygen?

Lol the planet is now covered in trees. Somehow no oxygen 😂
Thank you for the recap! 😁
Oxygen running out.......fires still burn at their full intensity.
I'm pretty certain if we nuked the planet enough to cause a drop in oxygen...lack of o2 would the least of our problems. Like.....radiation and no drinkable water would be a far quicker death than no air.
🤣
If they managed to kill off any lifeform capable of photosynthesis.... even if it eludes me, how this would be even possible... not even radiation or drinkable water would be their problem. Nobody - not even cockroaches would have survived the initial incident.
Lol so even after humanity died, it still almost killed nature by an old reactor 💀
with.... one... reactor? With what was that thing filled? Magic Nuclear-Explodium?
nature would be fine. If anything, radiation would only help plants grow more.

@@yeahitsmesofkinwhat If they literally killed of all plants (or all lifeforms capable of photosynthesis) and somehow survived an event, that destroyed even the most basic forms of life completely - which is kind of an important point in that movie - how many billions of years had that guy to travel into the future to have anything resembling relative complex leafy plants?
So there's two possibilities: Either not all plants have gone extinct - in which case there's not a real problem. Or, they had an idea that sounded nice and just ran with it, without wasting one thought of any indications or implications of their ideas.
Oxygen is low and a dude somehow sets himself on fire.

My question is how do movies with such non sensical idiotic premises ever get made?

I seriously wouldn’t be surprised if this actually happened in the near future
Lack of oxygen and all of the plants died? Plants grow in accordance with how much CO2 there is in the atmosphere, if the atmosphere is overloaded with CO2, there would be a plant boom, not a degradation.
@@Elucidus4That could be the case originally.
But I am worried about if humanity is capable of blocking CO2 in certain parts of atmosphere.
@@yeboxpacf_2505 How, or better, why would they do that?

So we have time travel but no way to chemically create pure oxygen?
There is something called electrolysis, the conversion of H2O (water) to O and 2H (oxygen and hydrogen)
yep submarines do it, if there's power you can do that. But since plants are going to be impossible to get rid of they'll do it too. If not them then algae. If not algae then you can find protists, or search for some cave microbes.
If oxygen is running out how are there fires?
climate change also creates more oxygen, especially this far into it. Given that many cities are wiped out and being overgrown with plants (less people polluting, more plants) it makes even less sense.

movie bad logic. Most of the plants are also in the ocean so what happens on land wouldn't change oxygen content on the atmosphere that much.
Humanity should be concerned at how many commentors do NOT understand oxygen, oxygen levels and how much is required to survive based on oxygen required in blood per species and plants/trees do not guarantee enough carbon is absorbed to release as oxygen as the process is much more involved than planta tree, get oxygen. The oxygen in the atmosphere was so much greater in specific periods of time that you had giant creatures and as it changes /lowers animals shrink, so to speak. Fucking hell so many with no idea what they are on about. As for the show, just scratch time travel, dont bother explaining it. It is a means to further the story, not teach us physics.
