All promising shows get like colony get cancelled. The good news is we get 22 seasons of my 600 pound life. God I can't stand the entertainment industry.
Reality TV is cheap to make. Sadly Colony ran into set location issues, which led into other issues which led into enough excuses and reasons for USA (I believe they were the network airing it at the time) to cancel the show. I rewatch it from to time, just finished rewatching it this past summer.
The thing is, at the end of the day, its all about money. The show wasnt giving as much moolah compared to how much they spend. Meanwhile things like 600 lb life, they just need a camera crew and a lil bit of editors. Very low budget since the "actor" pretty much does everything for them. No need for CGI. No need for expensive actors. Heck, even a highschool graduate with knowledge on Davinci can edit their videos LOL

It was cancelled because it started to actually happen , they closed a city in New York or Jersey , right before covid hit . It was all over the news but than covid hit and life went on . I remember thinking “wow this is like Containment” 😅
That's probably why it was cancelled. Too expensive to film. Just like I doubt we'll see a new series of 3 Body Problem as the second book features a huge space battle with thousands of ships.

0:06 if they were 300 meter walls they would be almost as tall as the tallest building in Los Angeles!! 300 Meters is 980 feet. The U.S. Bank Tower, is just over 1000 feet tall. So the wall should be almost as tall as that building to be 300 meters tall!
I didnt watch the recap but at one point the Resistance enters such a building to scout the top of the Wall and do recon for their planned escape. Most of the type of buildings that you mention are either destroyed or off limits though.
I absolutely love Heroes 1 of my favorite series they even had a spin off with a few characters & it was just getting good when it got canceled as well🙄I miss Heroes & watch it often
I remember watching Colony on Netflix a couple years back. Isabella Crovetti is in it and she knocked it out the park with this show fantastic storyline and amazing acting fantastic! 👏😀👍

Have you noticed that all the best series were made before 2016-17? That shows you when the last best directors retired or stopped being hired by Hollywood, who swiftly replaced them with cheap younger alternatives. Younger people today seem to lack the depth to tell a good story. They simply haven't lived enough or didn't have time to dream during their childhood.
Well, lately I've been so troubled with a mind so full of worry about the future, with a mix of depression and anxiety. But I just watched this Alien take-over skim-through and got really into it. It gave me a half an hour of peace and relaxation, I love anything which involves aliens. I look forward to the next season upload. Big thanks as usual to FANTASTIC CAPTAIN
Don't stress about the future, we've made it this far and we will make it even longer. Worry about your family and friends and job and stuff like that, thing's you have control over. When you stress over something that hasn't happened yet all you're doing is letting down yourself and others. Like I said we will be fine in the future and if not we wont be around to know it lol.

I wish the world would embrace escapism again, instead of always shoving current day politics and PC culture down our throats. It's so good to just immerse yourself in something different than that of your life and the world around you.
It should be mandatory to implement a system that makes it that show/movie writers NEED to have a type of ending when a season ends.(Can't imagine writers NOT knowing how the story ends) These type of practices make it frustrating for the viewing public. You invest all your time and patience to have a series get canceled. A good example would be: The Expanse each season ends with either/Or with no consequence or stress if not continued.

This reminds me of that movie with John Goodman and Jonathan majors. About people fighting against the aliens. The secret rebellion finally gets the best of the aliens. But they have to sacrifice themselves. But it makes more people fight. When they see the aliens can be stoped.

The plot twist was that the aliens were robot bodies with a consciousness inside. And that they had good reason (as in humans would agree with them) to make a earth into a cruel authoritarian military dictatorship. Since their enemies (traditional grey aliens) will also destroy earth, so basically they are Earth’s forced allies. They are delusional tough, too much into the “protect you at all cost” side. No evidence humans didn’t plan out the invasion too to fortify earth faster I guess we’ll never know since there is no season 4
