Approaching 60 now and in a constant state of flux as to how to go about retirement having been many times to Patts over the last 12 years. There are two primary issues for me. Property ownership versus renting being one, and selling my life and travelling light being the other.
I get that renting is the smart move, but I don't fancy the feeling of always living in someone else's gaff with their choice of furniture and decor. You can personalise your own place and feel properly at home whereas renting feels like a more nomadic lifestyle.
I can't be the only person who has considered retiring in Thailand who hasn't fretted over what they do with all their belongings if they take the leap. The drinks cabinet, the artwork, the £2k TV and the £700 coffee machine...I'd be interested to know how people who have been through this have dealt with it.
Again, if one buys then you can ship a lot of stuff, but I think if you decide to always rent then you MUST travel light and let go of your previous life, which is something I'm going to find hard to do.
What do you think Daz? Are the logistics of retirement worth a vlog or two?
    Thanks for another great vlog...

    Hello Daz
Is there a way to contact you by email. It's not that I have problem to ask it here.
Cause my question is actually about short term rent of a condo. I only usually go to Thailand for 30 days, and from these 30 days, one or two days to Bangkok. One after arrival. and one or two days Bangkok before departure.
Now I want to figure/find out if it's even possible to find a short term rent condo for 27 days. But even if I need to pay for 30 days it wouldn't be a problem.
That has 24h reception and take ID ofcourse. And is at or near Soi Buakhao. That has WiFi and Airco. That is not noisy. Or least noisy.
I guess because of you're interesting videos about this topic I'd ask this to you.
So first question Is it even possibly to rent for just one month.
I didn't ever so far in thaila.d rented a condo or so, other than my home country.
I just know so far there are short terms rent options. I know u can take a girl with you. I know there is no room service ofcourse like hotels. But that's not big deal. U can go to laundry near or ask reception. But I do like to know if these things are available
I tend to like to stay in hotels that have 24h reception that take ID. That is near seven eleven and last few years wen I was at pattaya I mainly stay at Soi Buakhao, Sutus Court Hotel you probably know.
Reason why I ask this is because I want to be sure on my place of stay. With hotel u can book one to one week what ever u feel to it for checking it out. and then if it's not Okey u can change hotel. Unless you stayed before and know this hotel.
And if you rent a condo, ur stock with it the entire month. U can't just say I checkout and want refund. But that's understandable ofcours.
So Daz could you help me out with this. It would be nice if like girlfriendly budget hotel list u can find a site that will also be a site with short term rent condos.
But what is the short term rent option is this only from 3 months up. I don't have a clue about it or if there other options simular. Those videos about these condo look nice.
If there readers here with also good experience that can help out I would verry well thankfully as well.

And I've already write mail to them.
I didn't even know this alternative was option to go for. So there you go again by bright up my horizon and other people I guess lol.
Now I wonder if urban condo allows to rent for 27 days do to arrival Bangkok I stay one night and another 2 days at Bangkok before departure. But I write them I don't mind to pay for 30days full.

Also I noticed neither unit had a dishwasher can that be added by the new owner? What about a washer and dryer? If there's room can they be added by the new owner? Many will go up about 40% I think, but it will take some time

Another amazing video about a new condo. How do you manage film these rooms secretly. Any tips for newbies. Cheers for the great content!!

      I am NOT filming secretly
The GoPro is on a chest harness and in FULL PLAIN VIEW
You would have to be blind not to see it in real life, but I do edit some parts out for the video.

I haven't laughed so hard for a while 555, thank you. I am 100 percent certain that Daz asks permission before filming.

Not yet, been 18 months now, they know that expats will not pay the rip off prices, so they must wait for the tourists to return, maybe next year.
