Refuge de l'Aigle - Parc National des Ecrins

One of the most spectacular chalets in the Alps, Refuge de l'Aigle is hard to reach and offers a spectacular view of La Meije and its norther face glaciers. We tried to climb Meije Orientale the next day, but figured out we forgot a second ice screw, so had to return at the 45º ice slope that reaches the ridge. Nevertheless, this tour on July 4th-5th 2022 was memorable, if only for the majestic sunrise.
Equipment: Normal glacier climbing equipment, but take at least two ice screws :)

We are planning to do it also together with my wife, next beginning of summer.
