Dear Ali The right way is as follows: PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTMENT 1. Place parking brake lever in “full released” position. 2. Raise and support vehicle. (Refer to LUBRICATION & MAINTENANCE/HOISTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) 3. Remove plug in parking brake shoe support to access adjuster star-wheel (1). NOTE: Through the access hole (2), rotate the adjuster star wheel (1) in the following direction to expand the shoes outward against the drum. ² Left brake - Rotate star-wheel toward rear of vehicle. ² Right brake - Rotate star-wheel toward front of vehicle. 4. Using an appropriate tool, turn adjuster star wheel (1) until wheel will not rotate (dead lock). 5. Back off adjuster six detents (teeth). 6. Rotate wheel, checking for light drag. If drag is too heavy, continue to back off adjuster one detent at a time until light drag is present. Do not back off star-wheel more than 17 detents from wheel lock. يعطيك العافية
Thank you for the video. Like others have said, always, always, always use your jack stands before getting under a lifted car. That way you can make more helpful videos in the future instead of being hurt by a jack that fails.
Do you know if the wire from the pedal inside the car, does that wire go directly underneath and out to the rear wheel or does the wire go into the side panel and wrap around the wires that go into the driver side door? I had a repair shop remove my door , and I looked at an installing guide for the parking brake. It mentions scuff plate and coal side trim for some reason. I saw someone remove the side trim of another vehicle and I saw a bunch of cables that also go to the door so I’ll wondering if that’s how the layout is in one of these cars. My brake isn’t releasing fully and idk if it has to do with the wires upfront being partially disconnected. As soon as I got my car back my parking brake was acting weird , my car was hit, rocker mounding had a little damage but not much. Idk if it was the impact which was tiny under the door or if it was the repair shop moving things around. Can you give me some advice?
The wire is going underneath the car for sure. If something hits the line under the car, it will damage it . Also, if wire inside the car tuch the break releaser spring or something it will not working properly make sure it's ok inside When you push the pedal, is it moving little and not releasing, or is it locked not moving at all
