It’s crazy how by uploading these videos he’s conveying the message that music is all about self-expression and consistency, and he’s also showing us his screen. Props to Nick for that bc most big guys in the industry don’t do this
@@masonjahncke7844Nawh I clicked his channel fully expecting some garbage but he’s got it, he just needs to learn to promote himself better because cringe TH-cam comments like that hurt his brand before it’s even established
I really dig your explanation of how melodies comes to you. Sometimes you've just gotta hit some buttons and see where things take you. Seems like if you do it enough and it'll start to come more intuitively and you'll hear things in your head all the time. Love watching you make music.
just because it takes nick 10 minutes to make what it takes you 30 minutes or sometimes multiple sessions, doesnt mean what you're making is bad. i mean, it probably is, but just finish it.
The casual nature of your videos and production flow has really inspired me to create more often and more efficiently, and I feel so much more confident in myself now! Big ups for being the goat!! Keep up the hard work B))
Praise God when i first tried Fl my friend showed it to me. Made my first beat sadly i don’t have it anymore. After the beat i did not touch the daw for like 10months have made beats for like 8 months now. It’s fun and it gave some purpose to mu life also. Good video keep up the work man!

i thought everyone has an idea of a melody in their head already but its the same for me i click in notes n my brain be like it would be cool if it goes up here n has this rhythm so its nice 2 see im not the only one who makes melodies like that and ty 4 everything u do u rly inspired lots of ppl i think its easy 2 forget that sometimes
What most people will never be able to do is sit down and immediately barf out a dope melody. That's the part you can't teach but the most important part
this mindset for melody drawing is the same i use and its perfect.. u don't overthink cause if a note isn't feeling right just delete and go on .. like u didn't placed the note.. great mindset for the rest of the vid.. :D
I feel like you're teaching me stuff I've spent years trying to learn. Can you elaborate on the short cuts and hotkeys that you use to make working in the piano roll seem so effortless? I've been struggling with that and certainly I cant be the only one
1. CTRL + B = duplicate forward 2. SHIFT + D = make all notes equal length 3. CTRL + L = extend all notes to the start of the next note 4. SHIFT + UP or DOWN to move selected notes up and down one note at a time 5. CTRL + UP or DOWN to move notes up or down by one octave
this video feels so like normal. so relatable. Nick really justa normal dude making beats in a very natrual and normal way. So free of idiosyncrasies that so many musicians have
Bro I loved him when he heard that first sound when he opened omnisphere and said “ I don’t want that” that’s really how it be bro 😂😂😂 omnisphere sounds are hella LOUD AND TOOO DRAMATIC
This is the first time im watching you and i didnt even know you were nick mira and i was thinking this guy likes nick mira presets lol. I just started getting into beat making i feel like these videos help a lot man
Thank you so much Nick, for everything you’re doing for us. My name is Chirag; I’m 18 years old. I’m originally from India, and it’s been 8 years since I moved to America. I have no family members with any background in music, and no one even knows what I do. Being an immigrant, I have responsibilities for my family too. I don’t know if this is the right path for me, but I love music so much I can give my life to it. So, I’m asking you, the person who has achieved all heights in music that we dream of every day, is it for me? I mean, can someone like me with my kind of background do something in this field ?
There will be people telling you that it's not for you, but it's really up to you. You know, America has been built by immigrants mostly so I don't see any reason for you to be ashamed of your background
it’s rlly just if u want it bad, no shade or anything but if this is what u wanna do and if music is ur passion then do that everyday keep pushing. life is what u make of it don’t live it with any regrets.
Something like this would have taken me a fucking month to make and I’d play it everyday thinking I was fucking Shakespeare and this dude made it in 4 minutes
For example, orange is considered the color of creativity as it encourages innovation and enthusiasm, while red can be a stimulus for productivity and motivation.
I get what u mean by u put the first note, hear the rhythm, and hear up, down, but u cant forget how important having an inspiring preset is like melodies dont come easily when ur synth is a raw saw no filter
guys please help me, im a begginner and have a really important question. Why nick is not using the chord progressions and just goes straight to melodies? I thought every music is based on chords
this guy is insane, i wonder why he doesnt get tired of making trap beats all the time? theres so much other music to be made. dont get me wrong he is the goat but always same hh sample doing same pattern? how can that dont get boring? love u
I've been trying hard to learn producing for about 10 months now, I wanted to learn it due to a change in career paths late last year. I've written lyrics for years so wanted to be able to make stuff from scratch considering I had no one in my circle who knew anything about it. Just after some advice as I'm finding it quite hard to keep the motivation there as I've created nothing of substance so far. Any advice from people who have been in similar situations would be really appreciated.

nick when you do quick cookups like this, when do you decide to go back and mix and master your beats?
