It's basically putting the fun back into it instead of taking it so seriously. Love this advice.
I personally treat “mid” beats as reps.
Every few reps, something worth comes in between.
None of each is possible without the other.
Also, you can always come back and improve something you believe is worth the time.

Made me realize how easily my mind tries to disprove other people claiming to be good and feed my ego by feeling better than others. To not burnout it‘s also absolute essential, to not stress over your speed in making beats. Even some of the industry producers take long time and focus on quality over quantity. So statements like „i made this one in thirty minutes“ doesn‘t mean that must be the standard. Take your time and stay consistent. 🙏🏻

Exactly. I lost enjoyment in producing when I would try to make what others thought was cool or try to always go for a certain style or sound. Just sit back and let your brain do the work and you'll make your best stuff. Don't overthink what you "plan" to make.

I've been trying to be consistent this year, and its going really great so far, i can definitely say it never feels like I'll burn out, and overall not working on the same thing over and over again, makes you think alot more creatively and go beyond thay one songs constraint
this was the same for me when i was learning how to make edits in after effects, i never did make like a full on edit but just played around with stuff and the when i decided to make a proper edit i actually surprised myself and i didn't know that it would turn out that good =)
I struggle with consistency so I adopted the philosophy of continuity. The goal is to never finish. Always try again. No defeat states. I hope with better support for mental I can be more consistent but it’s key to accommodate yourself and keep going and not get stuck in the mud of perfectionism and self defeat.

Perfectionism is a self oppressive curse. Failure is necessary for growth
I came to the same conclusion a while ago, I would get frustrated when the first thing I came up with wasn't to my liking (aka I had expectations) and I'd get stuck. One day I just decided to stay neutral and work until I was satisfied and it came out great.
Can't force the magic to happen, all you can really do is filter your ideas and keep going until you're satisfied with the whole thing, sometimes it takes 10 mins, sometimes it takes hours (for me at least)
