Thoroughly enjoyed following you on this awesome hike Cam, the scenery was amazing and those gorges were just stunning. I think my favourite scene though was the morning with the fog, so beautiful. Thank you for filming and allowing those of us, who are well past our youth, to experience on this wonderful journey.
Thanks for the journey mate. I was born in Alice and lived in settlements with my oldies and sister as a kid and spent a lot of time in those parts in the 70s. Watching it stirrs something inside me and I know I have to go back and do this trail, maybe with my family. Thanks for all your hard work filming and producing this - very inspirational and nice to share it with a decent bloke like you. Cheers from Sydney - Dave
Massive thumbs up dude. Absolutely awesome. I have wanted to do this trek since I was there last year looking around. Now after this video, it's definitely happening. Thanks so much for the content
This looks stunning! To me, as a Dutchie, those views are just insane! Must’ve been one hell of a hike with views for days! Can’t wait to come back to Australia and do this hike as well!
Mate, I've only just come across your channel and this is my second time watching this video. Has definitely inspired me to do my own trip to Alice Springs next year and complete the trail.
Champ, thanks so much for sharing these with us, we gave mount sonda a crack but Ieft it to Iate in the day, that sunrise has given me drive to try again.
Thanks a lot for sharing your hike on the Larapinta Trail, I am just discovering this area of Australia right now, and starting with your vid was a great introduction for sure 👍 Cheers from Norway 🌞
Awesome bud. i remember doing a couple of day hikes around Alice when I was over there... Awesome place, epic ridgeline views that you can see at the tops how they are just carving and pushing up from the ground. A truly beautiful area, nature, largely untouched, views for as far as you can see... Don't take it for granted brothers and sisters
Cam, bro …. This is totally awesome. Loved watching this and the length of the video is amazing. This must have taken an age to edit. What a super job and what a brilliant video. So proud of you bro and the hard work you smash into each day! True legend 🙏💯🙏🙌
Hi Cam, love your vids, looking forward to some more Tassie content! In regard to the Larapinta, could you list all the fees involved including and parks fees, trail fees, camping fees etc.
Hey Andrea. I was consuming 3-3.5k calories per day with a focus on hitting protein targets(120+g) each day. I usually carried about 2L of water at a time unless there was a larger gap between water tanks then I carried more.
I love your content so much! I never knew Australia could be so beautiful. Thank you and keep hiking! What time of the year did you do this hike? Is it spring?
Most days looks something like this; 1 x coffee 1 x packet of lollies 3 x protein bars 1 x other snack(jerky, nuts ect.) 1 x large dehydrated meal for dinner On bigger days I’ll have lunch as well(noodles / dehydrated meal)
Thanks for watching legends. I’ll share a video next week going over my gear setup. Have a great week 😊
Definitely keen for your gear video for this hike!

Nice one Cam. This is definitely my favourite, long distance hike. One which I hope to repeat in the next couple of years 😃
I hope to do the same! Incredible out there

ah man, i need to do this hike again , i did it back when i was in highschool, honestly such a beautiful and spiritual walk.
I already want to go again! What a trail 😍
Cheers Cam. A quality production and very informative. Your personality and spirit come across great. All the best for Te Araroa.
It's an amazing trail, level 4 /5 with some big climbs but amazing sights. Love to do it all one day , 35 degrees today at Standley Chasm.
Jeeze, thats a hot one. Tough hiking in that heat.
What a glorious trail! Magical land!
Absolutely 👍
Beautiful landscape. I might go to Australia next year. I left you a like. Greetings from Switzerland, Benjamin
Thanks Benjamin! Definitely come - happy to give some hiking recommendations 😊

Unreal! This is making me wanna do this trail but based on the day hikes I’ve done there last year, it’s gonna take me twice as long 😅
No need to rush it bro. Highly recommend the full thing though!!
Looks bloody mint! Adding that one to the bucket list. Would love to know more about your food/water intake details.

@@CamBostock awesome! Thanks Cam

Great viewing Cameron. I’d be interested to know what you take to eat when walking 30+
km per day.
Most days looks something like this;
1 x coffee
1 x packet of lollies
3 x protein bars
1 x other snack(jerky, nuts ect.)
1 x large dehydrated meal for dinner

@@CamBostock thank you
This was awesome to watch, a hike on my list for the next year what do you think it the best time to do this one?
July / August is ideal. Although it can get really cold at night so you need a warm sleep setup during that time.
@@CamBostock Thanks mate, sounds like a plan
I haven't been interested in this trail as I grew up in similar terrain (Mount Isa) but you might have changed my mind
I’d like to know what month you did this
which month did you do it?
"Here's a little tent site"
Pretty sure that's just an ant clearing.
Haha pretty much 😂
looks so sick
What pack did you use Cambo?
Mammut Ducan Spine 50-60L ✅ Worked well!
Awesome vid Cam! Any pros and cons for the pack ? It's on our list for upcoming trails. Cheers
Ive hiked the trail all year and saw less snakes than you did in 9 days 🤣🤣
I didn’t talk to any other hikers who saw one so I count myself pretty lucky! Was a beautiful creature
230k
9 days
My ankles hurt just reading that.
Only 2 ankles were harmed in the making of this video 🥲
That's incredible, do you wear anything to protect from snake bites ? Like gaiters?
Not really mate, just always keeping a keen eye on the ground. Havnt had any issues so far 🤞
