  • The Western Arthurs Traverse is one of Australia's most spectacular hiking trails(and also one of the most challenging). It's been on my bucket list for a long time so a trip down to Tasmania was long overdue. The West Arthurs are part 1 of 3 of my south-west Tasmania adventures, with the Port Davey and South Coast Tracks also in my plans. Stay tuned for those videos soon.
Disclaimer: drone flight is not legal in Tasmanian National Parks, the drone footage used in the video was not obtained by me.
🥾Thanks to Pushys for gearing me up for this trek. Check out www.pushys.com.au to grab some quality gear for your next hiking or camping trip.

Someone should invent telescopic walking poles so they can be stashed on a pack when climbing.
Watching you climb and carry poles looks uncomfortable and unsafe.
I like to have both hands free when climbing especially when I'm carrying a big pack.
    Awesome video !

I have been so excited to watch this video from you! I can’t wait to show my American boyfriend. He doesn’t believe that Australia can be so mountainous and epic for hiking. I did Western Arthurs in 2007, early Nov, we were first party since the autumn, it's just so hard, no one used to do it in winter months. Had amazing weather. It is a visual feast. Oh it is so hard. 12hrs to do 4km linear distance. Scary. I'm still living in the afterglow of the spectacular scenery. If you're not up for insane, you can go in to the first two nights and return, which was what locals were doing behind us. That way you can use a good window of fine weather. Also it was drought for us so no boggy plains to sludge through.
