Hello Sir, I just bought the 6359-00 proline power stroke like you for the front of my vorteks because I broke one of the shock shaft and the original shocks are 87 mm and the proline are like 101 mm, before I open the pack and cannot get reimburse do you have any issue with those bein installed since they are longer than the factory ones?
Looks like a nice build but I've gotta ask. By the time you pay for the proline shocks, the motor, and esc in order to run a 4s setup, wouldn't it make more sense to upgrade to a 1/8 scale buggy? I too have a Vorteks running 3s and have tried a set of proline shocks amd they're great shocks, but although they feel better than the cheap stock ones they'll only preform so well for the body they're on. You'll find that they'll preform way better on a 1/8 scale kit. I'm glad you told your audience that the Vorteks is meant to be a 2s or 3s setup and if you convert it to 4s you'll definately break more parts overall. Let me know your thoughts. Hey Jake just subscribe. Yeah great video how much better are those shocks from the stock ones ? $70 is pricey I just use my Vortexs on the RC track so stock suspension been working great for me so far. Bashing it I use to bend my shock shafts every time lol.
I have the vortex. The front strut broke after my first run of 10 minutes. Arma says the struts are unavailable. Please tell me where you bought those struts so that I can run this thing again. Thanks in advance
@@williamperri3437 Until you have to return them and buy something else because the dude used the wrong measurements for the Vorteks and the shocks you get are rather shorter than stock. I had such high hopes, until i put the rears on and noticed a significant drop in ride height...
I have a big rock , I think those stock driveshafts are trash , my front broke multiple times , how can it not even handle its own power ? I’m about to upgrade to aluminums
Only thing the Arrma 3s line is good at is making you wish you saved up the extra 300 bucks to get into the 6s line. I have a Big Rock and I basically turned it into the best pound for pound big rock you will ever see but it was a horrible experience getting there. Not fun at all. Just picked up a V5 kraton 6s and it's like a totally different brand.
@@jakesrcaddiction7519 oh don't say that...🙄 What problems did you have?... so far I've had to replace the spur as the grub came loose out the pinion but nothing else so far
@@EllisGVid My spur gear stripped on the second run. It was on 3s and the first run was 2s. Jake broke two driveshafts in one run which makes me wonder how durable these Vortecks really are.

When i was looking for new shocks i saw the proline's, but i could have sworn they weren't the correct sizes for the Vorteks. Wrong lengths, so they would either sit too high putting more stress on the CV joints, or too low and dragging the bottom more. Also, editing my dude...soo much dead time in the video of nothing...or you simply repeating the same thing 4 times over.

If you loosen the slipper clutch it takes some of the stress off of your driveshafts.
Center drive bearing support it helps
You need the Arrma Typhon A-Arms (RPM), convert to 17mm hex. Heavier wheels / tires, consider heavier diff fluid (1/2 ear plug).
Widen the stance by using Typhon a arms and turnbuckles mate did it to my daughters Vorteks

I don't know why anyone would want to convert the Vorteks to 4S. The thing is already stupid fast stock on 3S

Ebay big bore shocks are way cheaper.

I had a v5 kraton and it took out diffs 24/7

I did set it correctly now but I have just decided to run 3s
