  • Well I got the proline racing badlands mx 2.8's mounted on the Arrma Vorteks and it is time to see how the truck performs with them on. Also want to see how the truck performs with this sweet new pack from Gens Ace. Enjoy!!

    FYI, the ESC wires aren't as long as you think. Rotate your lipo(s). I run my lipos so that the top (wire side) of the lipo is towards the back of the RC. I do this for two reasons.
    1. It takes most of the slack out of the wires. 1st velcro strap straps down the ESC wires; connectors meet in the middle of the lipo; 2nd velcro strip straps down the lipo wires. By doing this, I've never had my wires fly out the body of the RC (as seen in quite a few YT videos), and I've also never had my lipos ejected.
    2. Generally when an RC crashes, it's usually head on. By having the lipo wires towards the front, you increase the chances of your lipo(s) shorting out and catching fire, from the wires getting crushed when you crash head on.
    Also, if I'm running a soft pack lipo, I may flip it (label up / label down) which ever way allows the balance plug to be towards the outside of the RC, or be sandwiched between the lipo and the chassis mud guards. That decreases the chance of the balance connector getting caught up in the drive shaft.

    Nice bash i use the plastic box that the Reefs servos come in and put a couple body clips and screws and nuts and it works out good

    • @RCPropaganda
      @RCPropaganda  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I use all my servo cases for nuts and such, I just never take them with me. I am always into things I can do for tool storage. I think I need to get something new. I like hate having to take so much when I go out. I def need to come up with something. Right now I have these little bags each one is for different things. I just never take them because I already have so much in my bag. I do not think I will every be happy with that sorta thing. My ocd is to nuts. lol. Thanks for watching.

    That spot I would LOVE to take my RC's too. I feel like the Rustler could never be as fun as the Vortek.

    Started using that battery and realized it puts out so much torque my stock axles keep ripping from the yolk. Replaced 4 axles so far.

    I believe the belted will keep from ballooning. I have them on my Mojave and the ballooning is crazy. Nice tires though👍🏻

    I have the Vorteks. The very first run the front strut broke. Arrma says the struts are unavailable . I wasn't even bashing or jumping it. Do you know where I can buy aftermarket products? Thanks

    Which standoff hub are you using. They have a 1/2" stanfoff I wanna gonna try with typhon rpm arms. I really wanna try the tires but I don't want it to rub the body like that

    • @RCPropaganda
      @RCPropaganda  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      not sure what that is. All I did was change the wheel hex's. I just cut the body so no rubbing. Had to trim a lot.

    • @Reecefpv
      @Reecefpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCPropaganda I was talking about the hubs that come with the proline tires. They usually come with different size center hubs that have different lengths "standoff" I believe they actually come with the 12 or 14mm hex and your have to buy to the 17mm hubs but there are 2 standoff sizes in that pack. It make the hub closer to the inside of the wheel which gives more clearance to the body.... Just realized u said u used the 12mm lol. My bad.. I believe they still come with 2 size standoff if it's the prolines that have the replaceable hubs

    • @RCPropaganda
      @RCPropaganda  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      O yes I got now the ones I put on my wheels. I had to use the longer ones for sure. If you trim the body the fit is great and truck is way more fun.

      @Reecefpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RCPropaganda awesome I already got the typhon rpm arms so it's a little bit wider. Hopefully it works out good. I just gotta order the 17mm center hubs. I'm also trying to squeeze the outcast 4s body on there but idk yet lol. I don't think it'll fit.... Yet

      I did have some wheel hex problems. Forget but think I switched to hexs that use a set screw. Maybe hot racing ones. They are pretty simple to work on, lots of videos on youtube to watch and learn.

      @@darkbloodgt6577 you can pull on the loops to adjust the point of where it tightens. I was having that same problem until I figured out the straps can move. It has plenty of room for the battery to fit and be strapped correctly.
