I'm so glad that you give us a different perspective. I'm really happy and satisfied with it. You're quite a welcoming person. You give character and so likeable. Keep up the good work; love it.
Hmmm. I didn't think he was short, more about average height. Seems like a nice likeable fellow but, sweet? I'd say more salty than sweet. He doesn't beat around the bush too much - definitely to the point. (I'm teasing, hope you don't mind)
That’s the problem with having a TH-cam channel, everyone wants all of your life . They are not just happy and enjoy the content on what is shared they want everything, that is not how Brian works as far as I can see , he will give you a snippet if he wishes but like me he does have a private life and you have to realize that google with a decent knowledge of it will find where his property is . Would you put your house on TH-cam ?
Exactly! Just because someone is on TH-cam they still should have "private life" that doesn't have to be shared. I am grateful for the wonderful scenery and occasional jokes. I enjoy his day to day style as well as his easy going attitude.
It would be nice to see a bit more than just the fireplace. Not sure why there's always someone that has to comment negatively, if they don't like it, they should just scroll on and not comment unless they have something positive to say. I think we're all just naturally curious. Hugs from Florida, US! xo
My husband is a truck driver and I go out with him in the winter. I have the top bunk with an air mattress covered with a wool blanket then a 3” memory foam topper etc very comfy! Have a great time😃
a fellow southside dub here from dun laoghaire, living in nantes. recently started following what's happening at chateau chaumont, and today i discovered"brian's life in france.will be keeping a close eye on both from now on.
It’s rained nonstop in north Wales today Brian and it’s been pretty awful. However I still went out and walked around Llanberis, met five other people doing the same thing. Had a lovely late lunch in a cafe called Pantri. Then tried and failed to go up to Pen y pas, road flooded and closed. Turned around and went home. So a bad day with a few highlights 😊
Love the opening scenery, as an Italian I have many many ways to make zucchini. Oh my yum. I think exploring and a bike ride sounds like fun . Enjoy . 😊 by the way rooves.
I no longer lend my trailer to anyone as every single time it came back with broken tail lights. Bung a cover over the old polytunnel, stuff some herbs in there and a hammock. Lying in the hammock when there is a summer storm with the air filled with the scent of the herbs and the rain beating down on the cover is an experience not to be missed!
My general rule is don't lend it unless you can live without it. I broke my rule and lent someone my 6 foot white Christmas tree. I got it out to use it this year and parts of it have gone brown. A brown Christmas tree is NEVER the look I'm going for. I shouldn't break my rule. ☹️
Ah, yes: zucchini. There is a season in the Mid-west here that you don't dare leave your vehicle unlocked lest you come back to a lovely donation of a bag of zucchinis.
I used to make lemon ginger zucchini marmalade for my in-laws. They loved it and used up a lot of the harvest. Chocolate cake, muffins, loaves. All delish.
In the southern US we have an abundance of bananas that ripen at the same time. I have about 80 bananas among 3 trees which will all ripen in another 2 months. Everyone will be leaving bananas on neighbors doorsteps. Too hot for zucchini in south Florida.
Decathlon is a sports gear supermarket, from trainers to tennis racquets, bicyles and bows and arrows, all sorts of clothing, and boules de pétanque of course. From a Frenchman, with love 😊
Zucchini slice Brian. It will go down a treat. 3 or 4 shredded zucchinis, 5 eggs, 1onion sliced, 3 rashers of bacon diced, 1cup shredded cheese, 1 cup SR flour, 1/2 cup oil ( olive oil, or veg oil, canola oil) any of those will do. Mix altogether and put into a greased largish rectangle pan and bake for 30 mins and golden brown and set on top. Bon appetite!😁👋🦘
Thanks for sharing your Saturday with us Brian! Love how you just go camping! Just go biking! Just go to the village! Just go to Ireland! Don’t have to tell you but hang on to this way of living, don’t let go, nothing better out there! ☺️
Like watching your vlogs at the weekend. Gives me something to look forward to watching. Thanks for taking us shopping, it’s nice seeing the different shops you have in France. Well done for all your hard work at the chateau this week. I definitely could do what you do, swinging on those ropes. Hope you enjoyed your delicious stew. Have a great day tomorrow and hope you enjoy your coffee🍀☕️🍀
I was exploring France on google earth and looking at your area. I easily found the chateau by looking for the highest point, as Dan pointed out. Now I am looking for camp sites. 🧡
I had to look up what a courgette is... Okay, a zucchini. They only way I can eat them is marinated and then grilled. Your stew looked good! Stay warm on that camping trip - don't forget extra blankets! 🙂
The Kim K Balenciaga reference gave me a good giggle, so thank you Brian! I love zucchini/corgettes, but even I can have my limits. I do like zucchini noodle instead of pasta for a change once in while. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
In camping sections in stores, you can find these emergency blankets. I believe they’re made of Mylar. They look like foil put that between your air bed and your blankets and that will really keep you warm! I know some people suggested will blankets, I’ve never tried that, but I can out of the back of my van and the foil blanket is a game changer.
Courgettes/zucchini make great quick bread! Ingredients: 2 cups all purpose flour 1 ½ cups sugar 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon salt 3 large eggs 2 cups shredded zucchini ¾ cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 ½ cups pecans chopped Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Prepare two 8x4 loaf pans with parchment paper. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine and set aside. In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Add the zucchini, oil, and vanilla and mix together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Add the pecans and mix till just combined. Divide evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pans for 5 minutes, remove from the pan, and cool on a wire rack.
Ah, adorable! You've such an easy-going nature! Always look forward to your vlogs, puts a smile on my face, when you talk about Pascal too. All hearty campers have a camping box, mine hasn't been used for many a year, sadly. Thankfully, no food in it! Thank you for getting out your roof tent, I've been looking at them, but now I see you have to have a trolley to cart it to the car, think that idea is out! As for courgettes, so many things you can do with them. Courgette cake (delish), courgetti instead of pasta, stuffed courgettes, natures most abundant food plant I'd say. Greenhouse, peppers, chillis, aubergines, cucumbers, that's what I grow, if you like them that is, love the long peppers. Still got some growing in my greenhouse even in this horribly cold, damp weather. Keep warm and enjoy your adventures!🙃
I was giggling over the courgettes comments. After I explained to my spouse why I was giggling, he laughed too. Apparently French Canadians have the same issue with growing too many courgettes.
Years ago when I had much larger gardens I collected 365 zucchini recipes because I made the mistake of planting 12 plants. 🙄 Lesson learned. Don't forget a good pair of thermals and a blanket for camping. Funny that I've also been looking at greenhouses vs polytunnels. I just want it for my tropical plants and a hot tub though. Glad you didn't have much storm damage!
Ahhh lovely way to end my day 😊 Sad to say today has been a very very bad pain day despite some hefty pain relief but I am used to days like this and just got on with what I could. Fingers crossed tomorrow is a better day 😊 Aww shame about the Christmas Market it's one thing I miss being able to do. Maybe next week instead. Look forward to ending the day with a smile next time I see you 😊
Mysterious zucchini showing up on the doorstep are from the zucchini fairy 😋 Ah, greenhouses. So many variables. Seasonal? Heated? Manually vented? Fun idea though. Yes, you want to check it out in person.
When I was quite young I planted 4 zucchini plants figuring I'd get 4 zucchins. Boy, was I ever wrong!! Now I just take what the neighbors are trying to unload.😄 Nice vlog today, Brian. Keep up the good work. Cheers
MI went vto a Christmas Market bit absolutely pissed ir down and very very windy . Love Limoges been many times . Dominican Republic coffee us nice Been there also many times . Enjoy ❤😊
Jamie Oliver Courgette bread. Absolutely lovely. You basically swap out the water and use courgettes instead. Look up the recipe, I cook it several times every summer especially when we get a glut of the things. It also has goats cheese in it as well if I remember to go and get some.
Your neat organised barn makes me feel guilty plus you are allways on the go and yet seem calm and in charge mostly🤓 I was about to do massive clean up in my spare room then saw your vlog was posted. Oh well back to it. Feel bit more inspired now so thanks Brian 😅ho hum from humid Oz🦘🌦
I had a big chuckle when you were talking about the man happy to cover the roofs that had been nackerd. As the saying goes: "one man's loss is another man's gain". Brian may your zest for life never fade young man- ENJOY and thank you for sharing - especially as I will never be a traveller again - grandmother duties and loving it 🥰 stay safe and healthy and blessings always on your travels😇
It is nice to see you are making your vlogs a bit longer! 😊 It is raining here in Vancouver,BC. We have been experiencing high winds and my balcony all my plants were thrown around. Mud everywhere. I love zucchini bread! yum. You can freeze the bread after you make a bunch for later in teh year when you want something by the fire, or to share with your neighbors at Christmas
When I was young and my Irish grandmother was alive, she always cooked up some Soda bread and Treacle bread when we would visit or when she came to visit us. Oh gawd, the Treacle bread was so delicious. Sooooo YUMMY. I miss it. I wish she was still around to show me how to bake it. She also made potato bread, but I didn't like it.
Brian Bourne! Love it🤣😂 And loved the scenic drive around.
Just a guy living his best life in rural France. It can’t get any better Brian hope you had a lovely day😎👍❤️
I'm so glad that you give us a different perspective. I'm really happy and satisfied with it. You're quite a welcoming person. You give character and so likeable. Keep up the good work; love it.
For winter, throw a wool blanket on top of that air mattress, then your sleeping bag to keep you cozy warm. 😊
Seriously what they said! Those air mattresses get cold!
Brian you are just a joy to watch, you make life so simple the way we all should live.
Brian, short and sweet, and to the point!!
Hmmm. I didn't think he was short, more about average height. Seems like a nice likeable fellow but, sweet? I'd say more salty than sweet. He doesn't beat around the bush too much - definitely to the point. (I'm teasing, hope you don't mind)
That pot of stew was looking good. Hope you enjoy your new coffee. See ya next time 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
another day come and gone, and just the right amount of stuff to keep you busy. thanks for sharing, see ya next time.
You spoke of your friend being a roofer. You are also a roofer. Really, you are a man of many talents. I do enjoy your chats.
Look forward to your videos! Love hearing your jokes and enjoying the scenery.
We need a tour of your cozy abode!

what is SR flour?
It's self raising flour not plain flour.😁
Love the conversation, the scenery and the music ❤❤❤❤❤
Especially the music 🎶
Roof/rooves.I make a pasta with various peppers, courgettes in a bolognaise type sauce.
Thanks for sharing your Saturday with us Brian! Love how you just go camping! Just go biking! Just go to the village! Just go to Ireland! Don’t have to tell you but hang on to this way of living, don’t let go, nothing better out there! ☺️
Hi from Tasmania Brian, thankyou for another enjoyable vlog, you never disappoint.👍👏👏❤️
You always give me a laugh to start my day 😂
Hi Brian, safe travels whatever and wherever you decide to go. Thanks for the little drive through rural France.
Thanks for sharing your stew. 😋
A gentle dose of enlightenment, thank you Brian.

You’re giving me the courage to go venture out on my own. I tend to stay home on my days off. I need to go out and see things and stuff.
Yes zucchini here in Australia too😀thanks Brian always fun
Slow cooker beef stew ( with Guiness ) 👏👏👏👏👏👍🏴🇬🇧
I had to look up what a courgette is... Okay, a zucchini. They only way I can eat them is marinated and then grilled. Your stew looked good! Stay warm on that camping trip - don't forget extra blankets! 🙂
happy camping 😊😁 i will next weekend with my little digue ! 😉😋
Miss my Mother’s homemade soda bread with Kerri gold butter.
The Kim K Balenciaga reference gave me a good giggle, so thank you Brian! I love zucchini/corgettes, but even I can have my limits. I do like zucchini noodle instead of pasta for a change once in while. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Such a nice visit again Brian. I really enjoy these visits.
You are really intertaining Brian. Thanks for taking us on a wee trip, and for sharing that nice lunch.
My husband loves soda and wheaten bread! He always brings some back when he visits his parents

Just found your videos. Love them
Courgette fritters are lush.🏴🇬🇧
There are so many things to do with zucchini. We even cook them for our pups.
Ole Pascal looks great!
Brian, I always enjoy watching your vlogs. I really like the choice of music you use, too.
Looks awfully cold there. Keep warm.
Enjoy another day with you Brian it's like looking at another grandson. Your adopted grandma in Australia 😊

The STEW!!! Thank you for a quick glimpse of a delicious looking, stick-to-your-ribs, lovely pot of stew. Did you ever get a new pot for camping?
Some days I am dressed head to toe in Walmart. A camping brand would be more posh. I look at it as - a Tshirt is a Tshirt.
That looks yummy!
It’s great to see you got the stew ready to enjoy…
Really enjoy your music selections 🥰
Agree!👏🏻🎵🎶
Winter camping would be fun!

Hope you feel better. Take care.
Brian is removing a broken tree off the fence, running to get groceries and supplies and having fun!
Try Lime, Courgette, Pistachio Cake....its yummy, my favourite 👌
Congrats on passing 35,000! Almost 36,000.....
You mean 36
Love the music

Hello Brian! xx 🎉
I used to camp in the back of my Toyota FJ Cruiser. Like you said, it's cosy and surprisingly comfortable. Cheers-
Winter camping , Insane Irish!
When I was quite young I planted 4 zucchini plants figuring I'd get 4 zucchins. Boy, was I ever wrong!!
Now I just take what the neighbors are trying to unload.😄
Nice vlog today, Brian. Keep up the good work.
Cheers
That was fun, nice relaxing music too!

Roofs! 😂❤️
@@azizaibrahim1155 In England it is "rooves" "roofs" is an Americanism
Oh I’d love to go with you to the Christmas market!!!
Love your music choices!
Cool new aviator glasses Brian. Home grown veg is the best without all the pesticides, etc, that commercial growers spray on their veg gardens!
This was fun, love the music.
Like to see the Christmas Markets in your area. Like your videos very much!
Jamie Oliver Courgette bread. Absolutely lovely. You basically swap out the water and use courgettes instead. Look up the recipe, I cook it several times every summer especially when we get a glut of the things. It also has goats cheese in it as well if I remember to go and get some.
Squash pickles. Easy. Yummy.
You inspired me Bri! I made a Guinness stew today. House smells wicked👌
Your neat organised barn makes me feel guilty plus you are allways on the go and yet seem calm and in charge mostly🤓
I was about to do massive clean up in my spare room then saw your vlog was posted. Oh well back to it. Feel bit more inspired now so thanks Brian 😅ho hum from humid Oz🦘🌦
You finally made the stew yummy, Brian! Nice mirrored aviator glasses, Brian. Where is your firewood and camp chair & a good book.

Great to see you on a Saturday evening over here in Central America. 👍
Well you had another plan, with a list this time, on the search for bits and bobs.
To bad about the bust looking at a greenhouse and you can only get them online ordering. 🤦♂️
If you like very tasty coffee, try Costa Rican coffee.
Not sure if it’s available in Pod format, but CR is famous for its coffee. Try it as a pour over method, or drip, you’ll love it I’m sure. I didn’t know real coffee until I moved down to coffee country. ☕️
You got a few of the items you were searching for, and it’s kinda the price you pay for living in a rural area, which ain’t bad, nice adventure into a little French city though.
As for “Courgettes” or “Zucchini” as they’re know for over here.
I had a friend who worked at a nice riverside restaurant, and everything on the menu came with “seasonal vegetables”, which was always Zucchini. Lazy owner and Chef.

Brian, both terms of roofs are correct. The other is much older.
O Brian, you forgot to pack up the air matras! Have a lovely sunday.💋
35cm of snow in the prairies in Canada.
A packet or 2 of jerkey great for camping too...make a stew/soup or just great for snacks.❤
Stew looked delish 😋
Everyone is being filmed by Channel 4 at the moment, Dan, Stephanie just did a Christmas one, and the Moons were filmed also 😊
Look forward to a camping trip with you!
I love zucchini bread! yum. You can freeze the bread after you make a bunch for later in teh year when you want something by the fire, or to share with your neighbors at Christmas
Hi Brian.🎶🎶🎶🎶.
Nice little vid. Thanks.
Stew looks divine.❤
Have a great evening.
Love and blessings to all.❤❤❤❤
That stew looked DEEELiSH USSS!
You are so right about the Tunisian baked goods. I lived there for a time and got to sample a fair few items lol. 😂
When I was young and my Irish grandmother was alive, she always cooked up some Soda bread and Treacle bread when we would visit or when she came to visit us. “50.000 courgettes” …. 🤣 That’s truth right there! 😅🙏
Loving the longer vlogs, great stuff Brian!
great video brian !
