- Update: Just a few days after I posted this, Disney World removed this pressed penny machine.
-----
There is still ONE place where you can get a Splash Mountain souvenir. And it’s one of the cheapest souvenirs you can buy at Disney World.
Even though Disney World has removed almost all references to Splash Mountain, there’s still one place you can find Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox. At the bathrooms behind Splash Mountain (just past the WDW Railroad Station and the playground), you’ll find a pressed penny machine. Two of the designs are Splash Mountain-themed.
Who knows how long this last Splash souvenir will be there. If you want this satisfactual keepsake, act fast before Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens in 2024.

The worst decision Disney ever made
Agreed
Not the First Time 🙄🙄🙄@@DarthFilmz
Way ahead of you. Got all the SM pressed pennies at WDW and DL. The lack of merch is a big part of my frustration with how Disney mishandled this attraction's closing. If an E Ticket ride closes, it should get a big sendoff with more merch and VIP parties. It should have merch made for years to cash in on nostalgia. Just look at the merch we've gotten for JII and Horizons if you don't believe me. But because Disney wants us to forget about this incrediblely well themed attraction, they're shooting themselves in the foot by not cashing in on its popularity with fans. Japan is also screwed, because they stopped making merch for TDL. It's an insult to the fans, the Imagineers, the ride's three decades of popularity, and it's a stupid move from a company that typically loves to wring every dollar they can from anyone.
That’s so sad😭 i didnt even get to go on splash mountain once :(((((
Your only option is to ride it at Tokyo Disneyland, which has stayed open because technically it’s owned by a different company, and thus decided that they would keep their version
Me too but i played a PC Game called "Left for Dead 2" where a Addon is called "Journey to Splashmountain" and after i have played it i fall in Love and bought over Ebay my Set of 9 diffrent Coins (all 3 Coins from Splashmountain are included) from Disneyland, thx to Stephanie! 🤗
Why do they want their version of Splash Mountain to stay but our versions in Orlando and California are gone(Orlando’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is done)
I’m very sad you didn’t, but also glad you will never truly see what we lost
Good news it’s the same ride better theming
I’m glad I got some splash pressed Pennie’s from DL
Now Disney knows what to get rid of next
Well... you're not wrong, because Disney did remove this pressed penny machine just days after I posted this video. 😬
@@Guide2WDW damn
@@Guide2WDWnooooo
@@Guide2WDWBet you any money someone at the top was shown this video.
Sobbing I was planning to go 😭 it was bound to happen anyways
The first time I visited WDW I didn't expect that Splash Mountain would be the best ride, but it absolutely was. As an avid penny collector, I'm glad I bought a splash penny. Disney is practicing self harm for some weird reason. I think Disney needs therapy.
I bought my Set of 9 different Coins (three Splash Mountain Coins were included) over Ebay from a very nice Person called Stephanie! 🤗
Very cool!
I mean if you don’t mind games left 4 dead 2 has a custom made map that not only lets you run through a good portion of Disneyland, but lets you ride splash mountain in its entirety.
I played that years ago! It was a lot of fun. There’s an epic last stand at the Hungry Bear restaurant if I recall correctly.
I love that map so much! I played it with the VR mod a few times before my most recent visit and it was really realistically designed.
@@Guide2WDW there is indeed my friend. and I love the haunted mansion intro section, just like the ride. I have to always point out to my friends the hanging man in the end they never looked up during the ride lol.
@@George_vv Right!? It had to be from someone who worked there as an employee at some point.
Sad because this holds so many good memories for me, but glad to see fisney growing and changing for the better
Personally, I’m super excited for the new revamped ride, only because they literally have no tiana themed rides at all yet
They also don't have Moana or wreck it Ralph, elements, Bambi, sleeping beauty, Brave, Atlantis. Seriously. They have a lot of unrepresented Disney. Splash Mountain was wonderful. The re skin would have made more sense if it had been Moana themed if we are being honest here.
Thoughts on the footage of the ride that came out?
@@ashleynoe1378 Moana is in epcot also Disneyland’s castle is “sleeping beauties” castle
I was 6 years old when I rode splash mountain in the summer of 1992 before the official opening date. I rode this over and over and over. I will never forgive myself for not getting one last ride in. Hopefully Tokyo Disney will lessen the blow a bit
Bruh! The attraction is already opened
I know. I posted this video a year ago, so the information is out of date. Not sure why it's still being pushed in the Shorts feed.
Really? Thought they removed thus.
I posted this video over a year ago, so the info is out of date.
the ride is gonna be the same, just the display
Bro splash mountain was themed around a VERY racist movie. I’m glad it’s being changed. It’s going to be the same ride track but better music and characters.
The ride wanted even named around Song of The South just the inside and I’ll bet money most people haven’t even seen Splash or Song of The South.
I am also so so excited for Tiana’s. In my opinion it is a step in the right direction 😃
@@khelerp it’s such a good movie and we are just getting more story
@@Fionnachu ikr! Idk why people are so mad 😂
Y'all whining that Splash Mountain is "racist" and you're gonna just _ignore_ the fact that everything Disney has touched in very recent history is even more fundamentally offensive because of stereotype, caricature, and toxic corporate "woke"ness
the salt mines in Tianas are directly based off the avery salt mines where slaves were tortured and killed don't see how tianas is a step in the right direction
Splash mountain while being based on song of the south isn't racist the brer characters originate from folklore
