In this edition of Backyard Builds, Mark Stevens shows us his latest "completed" project, his 1962 Chevy C10! It's a sweet ride that has been completely overhauled under the hood while still having the vintage 1963 frame.

Torsion bar suspension from 60 to 62 was the best ride those trucks ever had.
Just humorous video.
I hope our 1963 comes out half as good as yours!
Superb truck and good work.
Beautiful old truck guy ! My first truck was a 62 C10 custom 8" fleet side ! Dm sure would love to have her back ! Good luck ! 👍🏻
BEAUTIFUL example !
Thanks Russell! The truck just sold!
Watching the vid, I announced gun metal grey metallic, before you, because I painted a 81 trans-am that color, back in 85. Btw it looked great just like your 63..
Nice work you guys !
Very nice job !you guys did nice video thank you fir sharing

I have a 64 k10 wanting to restore for my recently retired father. But man here in Georgia it is so hard to find a dang mechanic that can work on it 😩

sweet truck, I have a 63 Fleetside I'm working on
Thats awesome! How soon will it be completed?
Have a 63 c10 shortbed/stepside that was my dads. Hasn’t ran in 26 years. Cab is off right now. I did tubular control arms with 4 inch drop springs in front. I also got 3 inch drop springs and 2 inch blocks for the rear with tubular trailing arms and new shocks all the way around. I still need front and rear sway bars, brakes, and other odds and ends. Wanting to do a 383 with a tremec 5 speed….I have a long way to go tho….your truck looks very nice.
Ha! I have had my 61 Apache for 45 years and it's never finished! 😂😂
Did you retai. The original 3.73 rear?
Single or 2 piece driveline?
Is this lowered at all?
I will ask Mark, but I think it was basically factory suspension!
