Watching your videos have inspired me to start making logos again. They are not at your level, but I’m slowly gaining back my passions again in part because of your videos, so thank you :)
I've been stuck doing info graphics/mostly maps since I got out of college years ago and due to keeping food on table, stuck in that (rut) line of graphics ever since--when my love was illustration and graphic design. Never will be able to achieve how some people like zimi can naturally spew forth creativity. my tendencies and skill set were… well should've went into art restoration as rendering/color skill sets my best asset but again how boring ass is that. I know, nobody cares, but if it helps some young person coming out of college to be wary and not fall into same kind of rut/follow their skill sets and dreams if possible…
Your channel is so refreshing and unique. Addicted to all the vids! Love the battles and the YGR. Brilliant all around and don't listen to the randoms coming in because of YGR blowing up, it's part of it.
The most insane thing is they are the most simple of changes that make such a MASSIVE difference. Zimri you truly are a design champion. What did I ever do without this channel I stumbled on that I have no reason to watch.. you changed the way I look at logos... but WHY??
Great channel, keep it up. I started working for a marketing agency 1 year ago, my role plays more into the research and strategy but I can truly say that from watching your YGR videos I have been able to provide better strategic insight to my clients.

I know that minimal is the way to go, but I think that if we added a little bit of a curve to the record where it meets the white edge, just in the slightest (the edges slightly upturned), it will give the record a more curvy look. And thus enhance it's "recordiness".

Oh, and I definitely wouldn't drink cheese flavored coffee, but never say never :P *Airballoons WHOOSH:* I feel like the logo could use some lines to help close the overall balloon shape (I took a glance and saw a lightbulb for a sec jajajajaj) But I really like how playful you made it!!! *Amanda Dourado:* I like the softness that the pink gradient provides to the design :D . I'd probably change the font to a non-geometric sans serif, considering that a name should be readable no matter what but that's just an opinion. *Niklas Braun:* Yasss, really clever use of shape and whitespace!!! :)
Airballons: He mumbled something about "Edison" at the onset. i.e. light bulb. post shrinking the basket size, I thot the balloon still looked like a light bulb so think it was still not the correct shape yet.
I think all the improvements look great, especially the first one because it made such a big difference. I love how nice and positive you are in your videos! Also side note, they're making a Shrek 5. Lol

The Airballoons redesign was awesome! The original design just looked like a bulb. No whoosh. The redesign looks much more whooshy and I finally understand that the icon is a balloon

Also, if anyone is interested in what the font is; it's called Abys and it has a creative commons license! I also used the font to make the flame with these symbols "()" and I used the warp tool and some readjustments to put it together! You truly made my day though! YOU RULE! Keep up the great work! on the Balloon logo you could add a small brown square (sandbag) and a rope that would tilt the balloon in the way you did it, it would add a more of a finishing touch and contrast :) best of luck!
”It used to be a flat design trend a couple of years ago to do shadows straight down the middle of stuff” This sentence made me realize so much about why I had a problem with flat desing and ”simplistic icons” . It makes no sense to draw a straight shadow on a bulb. That just confuses your eye as it makes the bulb appear as if it was a wedge rather than a rounded shape! Finally, I realize what the problem with the old flat design was

one critique i have for the air balloon company logo: putting the name above the product. with the product on top, i read it first and think its part of the name; initially i thought airballoon was a movie company and "whoosh" was, like, the title of their first movie. (something inspired by "up" i guess? lol)

The cat/cheese/cup one is great but the pupils are weird; would have been much better with a slit pupil. Looks more like an owl right now.
