Glad that i’m inline with your income recommendation, got myself a used 2021 330i last year after so many hardship to fill in the income gap 😂, upgraded from honda city to this car
These ownership videos are very resourceful for many. Thank you for thinking this up.
Thank you so much for this explanation. I own a G20 but 320i 2021 model. It’s below 20% of my commitment, but I’d like to inform everyone that the 320i is quite alright too, fits my driving habit and requirements. It’s not as fun as the 330i, but I have my weekend car for that 😊
I'd get a 320i too just for the more comfy suspension 😄
Ahh. Nice. thanks for sharing your feedback! Its things like this that supports the community!
I’ve just bought the 330i M Sport LCI with the Adaptive M suspension. Its a superb car, the ride is no longer harsh and I look fwd to driving it everyday😊
@@MaverickEchoJulietbro they already change the suspension? i tot mid of year. if yes i wana go showroom this week
like the lofi background music addition, totally my kinda vibe.
Enjoying the sharing of practical knowledge and tips. Keep it coming!😊
Thanks for your support bro!
Great!! Appreciate the effort!! 🙌💪
You are so inspiring. Thank you for being humble and not judgemental. Love your stuff man!
Thanks bro. I hope I can inspire more of the car community to think "I can" rather than "No way"
Hi Thomas. Great job! Very informative. However I suggest P & O Promej insurance. Tx. KEEP IT UP!!!
Great video bro. Subscribed 👍
Thanks bro!
Hey Thomas, love your comprehensive breakdown! You forgot 1 important aspect of fuel which the 330i will take up a fair bit but nevertheless, brilliant video!!
Do a video on a used F30 330e
Please do 2016 used 991.2 4S as weekend drive thanks
Do one for Porche cayenne coupe Plssss.
civic type r fk8 pls!
RM3068 monthly installment for a used 330i, 7 years commitment, no thanks!
Yep. It's not for everyone!
True, would be better to invest on your family and your health - organic food, supplement, some health promoting hobbies, for me its mtb😊
Thomas, if buy from BMW premium selection, parts like tyres or brake pads will be replaced foc by BMW if worn out. If there are body paint repairs, BMW also will repair FOC before delivering the car to the buyer. Also the car will still have warranty which is originally 5 years. If the car is 2 years old, you have 3 more years of free maintenance. So, basically u don't need to set aside much money for maintenance.
Wow I didn’t know there’s so much covered in the 5 years maintenance package. Tyres included?
Yes, everything. I just picked up my 330i last week. It’s like you’re getting an almost brand new experience.
i think the adaptive m suspension will be a deal breaker... unless the pre facelift version can be retrofitted with one
The later Pre-LCI models have less harsh m suspension, I was told. And yes can retrofit some aftermarkets in the market
@@ThomasYap thanks good to know that .
Better buy new that comes with 5 years free maintenance, the monthly installment for 7 years 3068 plus 5k yearly maintenance is not worth it. I bought a 330i LCI with monthly installment 3.4k 7 years loan on a 302k after discount new BMW, but granted i paid 50k for downpayment. That price i'm paying is about the calculation that Thomas did for a used car that cost 230k.
Rm3.8k per mth for a used bmw. With more/higher cash upfront as compared with buying new at rm4k a mth and not to have thinking about the maintenance cost and running cost for the first 5 yrs.
New car with maintenance cost too - brake pad, disc and tyres. 5k maintenance yearly is realistic even for new car. Might see my reply to another comment up there.
Should consider net of tax not gross
Great video. But I am curious as to why you are not including the petrol/tolls/parking to make up the overall ownership cost? Petrol alone could easily be 6k-8k per year.
Also, when you pointed out the expenses should be 30% from 12.8k salary, I assume it is the net disposable income after epf and tax deduction for salaried folks. So effectively speaking, one need to earn at least 18k to be able to comfortably afford a G20.
Ah yes. it's nett salary. The reason I didn't include that, because those are variable on usage. But good thought to reconsider as it's our 3rd episode!
Would it be a good idea to fully pay for a car and not take a loan? Or if i only take a one year loan, would the interest be higher? Thanks.
Interest is charged on the whole loan sum. No matter how much you've paid up in principle. So yes, in principle the less years you take - the less interest they charge you.
As for to fully pay or not, it really depends. if you have to kill your lifestyle and stifle yourself just to pay your loans - then the car is really eating into your ease of life. Always consider your personal financial circumstances and lifestyle
Do one for a car over 10 years old pls :^)
Cayman 987 maybe?
I can think of something!
can you make for toyota gr supra?
Can. I'll short list it.
can you count bmw m340i 2hd?
Sure. Shortlisted!
Then should just buy new so you don’t have to factor the 5k maintenance per year? At least first 5 years?
It is reasonable to factor in 5k per year. Even new car it doesn’t cover brake pad and disc. Brake pad front and back will cost roughly 3.3k. And good tyres around 4.4k per set. Within new car 5 years warranty period, most probably u need to change twice - pad and tyres, that set you aside 15.4k (without considering inflation), not to mention brake disc too…. Thomas calculation 5k for maintenance yearly is very realistic even for new car.
SLK 200 year 2012 please
Shortlisted!
Hey org malaysia tq so much for your videoing . Im glad n grateful . But please explain how much that i need to own a e90 335i twin turbo . Yes please! Tq!
Hows the g20 with the adaptive suspension?is there any good
Yes highly recommended
Do one for axia E
😂
5k
Did you lose weight? You looks so much slimmer than before
Is not about the car. Is it the tax associated with it is the problem. I have no problem buying 3 series but I cannot find a reason why I need to pay so much tax for it. Feel like so hai making govn richer when they do nothing back for me.
Yeah duties and taxes are through the roof in Malaysia. So I'm with you with the price of good due to duties. But on the other hand, my personal opinion is that since I have no power to change that now - I might as well focus on what I have control on.
Annual maintenance RM5k? 😂😂😂 . If the car still under warranty Yes.I would apply simple rule of thumb. Allocate 5% of the car value for maintenance for the car 5 to 8 years old. Above 8 years old 10% of the car value for maintenance. Driving continental car is real fun and please do stay away if you mindset is attuned to Japanese car way of maintenance. Owning a car or cars shouldn’t be in anyway disrupt your financial. Unless you are a taxi drivers that spend 8 hours a day in a car. 😂
I can't afford. So sad
You got the 3 Ms.... V8, Straight 6, Straight 6 Turbo...
Damn what a waste. I would just get a used F30 1/4 the price and maybe 2/3 of the performance and comfort.
£300 a month you can get a 330i G20 here in UK.
Yeah leasing options are really good. Unfortunately these options aren't that available in Malaysia.
15k per year for maintenance please..dont so humble la. if bmw as the king of maintenance does not set the standard then who? even land rover bow down to them.
Can earn RM600 😏
Get civic better liao😂
Buy Myvi. Perodua cares.
fastest way to go broke is buying a european car, the idea is to build assets when you're young not get into debt.
I agree with the part about building assets. That's why I don't like to have more than 20 even 30% spent on cars, because I need to have the equal amount more more going into wealth generating assets. :)
