      Update - just had another nail in my front left tire for some reason and the RFT took away so much of the stress of having to deal with it so I'm definitely a fan of RFTs.

    Hi there, first of all let me thank you for sharing. Just to let you know, i own a 2016 f30 318i. Coming down to 8th year of ownership, she starts to show its age. During recent fasting month, i had to replace its fuel pump, roof lining, rear absorbers and new sets of tires. Just when i felt a relief, she was down again with a major issues. It was my son who drove her. Luckily he managed to park the car safely. Fault code shows drivetrain failed where the gear wont move from P. Had to tow it and long story short, turned out that its mechatronic rosak.😢. Now still waiting for the parts to arrive. My mechanic said the same thing like you said. Although bmw claim that the transmission oil is lifetime but dont take it for granted. Better change it after 50-60k drive. Lesson learnt. I really hope that i can ask you other issues about f30 as i really want to keep her although everybody else told me to let her go☺️

    Great info. Mine is the same model with B48 and had just finished my 5 yrs warranty. I've asked BMW SC about normal service at their place, and they quoted me about RM500-RM600, which I think sounds reasonable. I also got quoted for gearbox oil and pan replacement for RM850 in Puchong. I do need to change all 4 brake pad, sensors and disc brake though and may go for original brake pad parts and OEM disc. Yet to found any seller with good price at the moment.

    1. Air filter and aircond filter price for F30 LCI? can't seem to find it at stuttgart shopee

      Hey bro! Great!
      1. This I don't know off the top of my head, but you can WhatsApp the number in Stuttgart's Facebook page and they will give you the price for what you need. Best to give them your vin number too!
      2. For this I did look into it, I'd probably try getting a cheap 17 inch Stock rim or something(can get cheap used run flat with it) and get a cover for the spare. You will of course need the jack and tools etc, those you can find on shopee easily. Maybe you can ask Stuttgart if they have any ready OEM solutions actually?
      Hope this helps!

    70k mileage for a 9 year old car is really low. Sometimes low mileage can also damage the parts as it’s not being run well or long enough. Use the car for some long highway runs. It’ll make your car healthier. Of course by highway runs, it doesn’t mean revving your car to the redline every time. I’ve a f10 diesel for 7 yrs plus. Really satisfied with the ride and maintenance.

    Thanks for sharing! These are useful tips. It’s enlightening to know that you’re running RFT as many that I came across have swapped them out. Do you find the ride comfort is acceptable with RFT?

    • @HHlah
      @HHlah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey bro! Honestly they are abit harsh especially when going over smaller bumps but I think there's been 3 or 4 occasions over the years where I've been with my family and I've had a flat tyre. So not having to worry about stopping at the side immediately has been so helpful. Whereas with my Golf R I once had a flat on the highway when going over something (and my family was with me!) and that was a nightmare haha. So I guess it really depends on how you use the car etc. Family car, women driver etc I think it's worth that trade off in comfort :) you get used to it haha

      Hi, I tuned mine the day after so I didn't get the Check engine light.
