I have a Jericho II that I really like. It isn't my best pistol for accuracy, trigger pull, price, ergonomics, or finding accessories, but it is perfectly acceptable for all those points. It sits in the middle ground for what I want in a pistol. Finding a holster is a real pain since I have a modular Blackhawk setup that I can rotate my other pistols into based on my needs, but the available holsters are serviceable if you are willing to use a drill to make them work. My thumb seems just a bit too short to actuate the safety without breaking my grip, but so do most pistols with a safety lever. All in all, I like it. In any event, thank you for posting by far the best video yet on this new rifle. I really appreciate your research and the education that you provide. Thank you!
I liked how the front end on the prototype. I was really interested in that look. Was interested, but I’m more interested in a bull pup than this. Great info though thank you. But and that’s a big but . If it was $900, it would be hard to say no but Desert Tech here I come. Well update one day before Thanksgiving 2024. I just bought it from PSA for $999. Couldn’t turn it down . I had been looking at the PSa JAKL but it cost more than that even if you bought the lower up or separate and with the crappy butt stuck, they had this was a no-brainer. That state armory sent me a email telling me they were selling this at that price. They know when to hit you when you’re weak. Lol and it worked.
Yep!! Despite the we didn't Americanize it .....They did.. Give me the option for other protype and I will buy it today and add to my collection of X95 , T7 and TS12 .
I'm a fan of IWI since I have the original Tavor SAR 16in and 18in models, the Galil Ace gen 2's in 7.62x39 and 5.45x39, and my most recently purchased 308cal Tavor 7. I doubt I will purchase the Carmel because the Tavors suit me just fine. Then again, what's the big deal about another gun?
It would make sense to me that IWI would use as many parts as possible that are currently being produced. Is the bolt group interchangeable with the Tavor or just similar? If not interchangeable do they use any of the same parts? The buttplate reminds me of the X95, does it interchange? Very cool rifle, and I'm sure IWI quality is tops, but can you count on finding replacement parts if something breaks like you can with an AR type rifle? At this point in time IWI is out of stock of the replacement pistol grip for the X95, not a good sign.
The ARX had fully ambi features, including a selectable ejection port and quick change barrels. I wonder if IWI will experience the same sales figures that Beretta did with the ARX. When the ARX was being liquidated, I bought 2 at $900...maybe a Carmel in my future?
You should test the velocity of the bad federal. I have noticed that many of these companies are under charging their ammo and aren’t reaching the velocities they claim….. especially in m193 & m855. I am not sure if it’s poor QC or equipment maintenance or that they are short charging to cut costs. ( most cases it was 100 to 200 FPS slower even in a 20” barrel
idk why but i see it as sorta a CZ Skorpion in 5.56 even though the two are vastly different aside from looking similar aesthetically, least in my eyes
Tim When you say it’s not in the same league as the Ace, are you saying that it’s not as rugged and reliable? Just wondering if this rifle is a go to war type.
I have a Carmel on the way but it has a high standard to beat. I have a Bren 14 1/2 I added a longer brake and pinned into a rifle and a Bren carbine. These two will be hard to beat
I love mine but I’ve emailed kns, manticore and hb industry about making parts they’re hoping on it to gain more traction. It leaks similar to the x95 as well with my Lahar 30 at least. I would like a 3-4 settings gas plug and seal up the pic rail on top. Probably a new hand guard design with better cooling. I don’t expect it to be any smaller considering it’s shares the receiver size
Nice intro to the rifle. I wonder if the closed position on the initial run of development rifles was a throwback to the use of rifle grenades and rubber bullet launchers. Not a lot of militaries bother with them over underslung or stand-alone 40mm now and little need on the civilian /commercial market so the shut-off/closed position is pretty pointless now.

My galil ace 556 Give me a problem the other day when I put my suppressure on it.... It would not eject... It would fire a couple of rounds Okay, but like the third round would hang up. What did you do to fix your problem,,, Thanks for any help
Tim does it use a barrel nut like the Tavors or a precision cut flush barrel like an AR-15?
Thanks for the awesome video, Tim! Question…with that removable hand guard, I would think that you would *not* want to mount a front iron sight to that… Is that your take, or is it a nonissue? In any event, thank you for posting by far the best video yet on this new rifle. I really appreciate your research and the education that you provide. Thank you!
That thing makes the Beretta ARX look like a super-model
I’m getting it
Did they try shooting the federal 62gr stuff while it was suppressed? Be interested in knowing if it cycled.
I'm guessing it would since silencers give extra pressure
Good the groups be better with a higher power optic?
Will we ever see the IWI Arad that I've seen on their website??
What in the heck is the IWI Arad?
the BCG and the way to disassemble the gun for field cleaning reminds me of the Bren2
I can't decide which one I want more, the Carmel or an H&K sl8......any thoughts ?? Thanks for a great vid !!
I'm a pretty informed guy and I don't think I've ever heard of the IWI Carmel. Maybe I did in a shot show ad once? Crazy
I have to say, the military style/prototype hand guard looks the best
Yep!! Despite the we didn't Americanize it .....They did.. Give me the option for other protype and I will buy it today and add to my collection of X95 , T7 and TS12 .
@@rich4513how do you like the T7?
@@__Ryan_ ITs awesome !!.. Love sending some 30H8t down field and with a Huxwrx Flow can so nice :>)
Love the old school look with new nice features
Hi. The barrel seems very thin. Would that be ok for military use?
I'm a fan of IWI since I have the original Tavor SAR 16in and 18in models, the Galil Ace gen 2's in 7.62x39 and 5.45x39, and my most recently purchased 308cal Tavor 7. I doubt I will purchase the Carmel because the Tavors suit me just fine. Then again, what's the big deal about another gun?
do you prefer the carmel over the ace gen 2
The charger handle is awesome 👍
IWI Masada S - any plans to make a review? Thoughts on it?
It would make sense to me that IWI would use as many parts as possible that are currently being produced. Is the bolt group interchangeable with the Tavor or just similar? If not interchangeable do they use any of the same parts? The buttplate reminds me of the X95, does it interchange? Very cool rifle, and I'm sure IWI quality is tops, but can you count on finding replacement parts if something breaks like you can with an AR type rifle? At this point in time IWI is out of stock of the replacement pistol grip for the X95, not a good sign.
How does it shoot lefthanded? Big hinge on the side
Nice video. Could you do a review of the IWI Arad, please?
Where did you get that dagger it's beautiful.
Can we get some info on that knife you used to point out the groupings?
Your like a gun dad just giving out all this epic info
The off setting was for rifle grenades, which IIRC the IDF uses sort of.
Very cool rifle.
Tim
When you say it’s not in the same league as the Ace, are you saying that it’s not as rugged and reliable? Just wondering if this rifle is a go to war type.
I have a Carmel on the way but it has a high standard to beat. I have a Bren 14 1/2 I added a longer brake and pinned into a rifle and a Bren carbine. These two will be hard to beat
Wow. Awesome video. I also like the historical information. Thanks for going through all the facts. Keep up the great work.
Off is for when you don't want the weapon to make noise after you fire
Actually, it’s for making the rifle a single shot manually operated rifle which is mostly useless.
Looks like a chunkier APC223 with more polymer
MAC are you going to review the APC223 or APC308? You seem to like their 9mm offerings
It's huge though. The upper and lower on the AR platform is already big enough, I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to quadruple that
I love mine but I’ve emailed kns, manticore and hb industry about making parts they’re hoping on it to gain more traction. It leaks similar to the x95 as well with my Lahar 30 at least. I would like a 3-4 settings gas plug and seal up the pic rail on top. Probably a new hand guard design with better cooling. I don’t expect it to be any smaller considering it’s shares the receiver size
Sorry What suppressor did you use ? Thx in advance
How does this compare to the CZ Bren ?
How does it compare to the CZ Bren 2??
Very similar generally speaking but a bit heavier.
Beretta ARX 100 for the win! 😀
When you took the bolt out I went oh hey it's a baby Tavor 7 bolt. Hoping that this comes to the X95 as a short stroke.
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
Hey Tim, how would you compare it to the Sig Spear LT?
