    Just replaced my 2007 Audi A6 left headlight. Took 20 minutes after watching your video three times. I never would have found all those clips without your video. Thanks you...thank you...thank you. The more small repairs I can do myself the longer it makes economic sense to keep my 12 year old Audi.

    Canadian Tire wanted to charge me 130$ and said it would take 1 hour and 10 minutes. Thanks for saving me some money

    It's quite easy to take the bulb out, but the fun begins when you must bring the new one back ;) Thank's for the video

    Just replaced my 2005 Audi A6 drivers side bulb. Replaced passenger side a while ago. Car has 258,000 miles so I can't complain. Hard to get one's arms down there though...

    Great teaching video. Nitrile gloves good idea. The left side -drivers side isn't bad the passenger side is much more work. Thank you for making the video... thumbs up!!!

    Thanks for your video and looks completely doable. Wouldn’t it be easier to remove the powers steering pump reservoir along with the coolant one? I have large hands and could be a problem. All the best.

    I couldn't get the cover open due to that power steering tank. I removed the tank from its position in order to get the cover open. The other difference was the wire. There was no clip holding it. And if I'm not mistaken, the wire was either stuck to the igniter or it was mounted fixed. So I didn't remove the wire. Other stuff was the same. At least it worked after I put everything back together.

    Wear rubber nitrile or latex gloves on you hands while anywhere in vicinity of the bulb lens.....surgical gloves if you will. Slightest drop of oil or dirt from hands...yes even clean hands can significantly degrade the bulb beam pattern and or cause bulb to blow out significantly earlier.

    Question, not related to this video. Have you guys ever did the FSI to 1.8t oil pump conversion?

    • @EDGEMOTORS
      @EDGEMOTORS  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, we did a fsi and 1.8t hybrid... Why?
      it was actually me that pointed out to integrated engineering that their conversion kit is not going to work, because the fsi oil pump has both oil pressure release valves in there... and 1.8t has one on the pump and one in the oil filter bracket. they never tested the oil pressure with their kit..:( and the pressure went past 100psi. i pointed out that they need the adapter plate for 1.8t filter mount and adapt that to the engine as well. they made the adapter plate and started selling it, didnt even give me one.

    • @215Sugarfree
      @215Sugarfree 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +EDGEMOTORS Wow, that just goes to show, these people are just selling parts and don't know whether it will harm or help. I was thinking about doing this to a FSI Audi but I was not sure about it being a good idea with the lack of info about it online.

    • @EDGEMOTORS
      @EDGEMOTORS  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +215Sugarfree well, with the oil filter spacer and 1.8t oil filter mount, it should be fine. but if you do go that rout make sure you check the pressure...

    • @215Sugarfree
      @215Sugarfree 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +EDGEMOTORS Ok I will. I want to put a big turbo on this car but the oil pump scares me. That is why I was investigating. I used your video for sludge in the 1.8t on an A4 I was selling, worked perfect man. You know your shit dude.........

    Hey guys i would love to become an audi tech but from what ive hered its very hard to get a job at the dealer and very expensive to go to school to get a job at an european car dealer so i would like to know is there any other way to learn or what did you have to do become a vw/audi tech?

      this is my hobby. i started as an enthusiast, and it all went from there... it all depends on how much you really want to learn.:)

    • @meti903
      @meti903 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      yea i've learned a lot of stuff on youtube and read a lot on google, i have an audi a4 b6 and audi a6 c6 i bought a vag-com so i can try to diagnose stuff im more comfortable working on my a4 but not so much on my a6 it seems like the newer the car the harder they make it to work on and it seems impossible to learn without working at a dealer did you have anyone in your family that tough you or did you learn all on your own?

    • @EDGEMOTORS
      @EDGEMOTORS  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +rusani89 no i learned all on my own...
