    Perfect timing. Taking a trip to Fort Collins later this month to see if I want to eventually move there. Super excited to see what it's all about :)

    What a welcoming youtube channel! My definition of a city is completely different and difficult for me to compare because the area I live has 750k people and it's not even a city (suburbs of NJ with Philly 20 mins away). The family really enjoys hiking and fishing, while I enjoy hunting. As you can imagine that's quite a drive for us where we are today, so are there more rural (maybe suburban to CO standards) towns 45 to an hour from Fort Collins that meet this criteria, would that be north of the city?

      You could be in the mountains within 45-hour of Fort Collins 100%. With that radius the world
      Is your oyster here :-)
      You could be as urban (Fort Collins) or rural (Livermore - 35-40 minutes) as you’d like.

    We have been to Fort Collins 9 years ago. We visited for 2.5 weeks, so we got a good feel of what Fort Collins was like. Being almost 10 years ago, I’m sure that many things have changed. We need to make another visit to see if it’s the right place for us. I have a few challenges because of living in large cities like NYC and Phoenix. Driving isn’t a favorite of mine, but not a deal breaker. When I moved from NYC, I always said the only time I want to see snow if from a picture on Facebook 😊. Well, times have changed. I am ready to give up 120+ degree days in Phoenix for some snow. Good thing I saved a light jacket!
    We will plan something in the Spring and would love to meet up at Little Bird for coffee. We loved going to Little Bird. Every time we went to Old Town we stopped there for coffee. Thanks again for these incredibly informative videos.

    Haha I think the Elizabeth + Old Town sold us on the area. We were just there last week checking out Colorado in general for a move from Florida and we fell hard in love.

      @@LivinginFortCollinsColorado Yeah, we drove all around. Did some hiking at Lory Park, tried to go to Mount Blue Sky (closed literally the day we tried, 9/3), checked out the Ike tunnel, did some hiking in one of the Rocky Mountain parks (can't remember the name)

    When is the best time of year to go visit Fort Collins?

    My wife’s job is likely moving her to Greeley. When it comes to house hunting, I’m getting the impression Fort Collins would be a great option with a minimal commute (30 mins or less). What areas, possibly on the outskirts of town, have the best access to nature?

    • @LivinginFortCollinsColorado
      @LivinginFortCollinsColorado  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d look at Loveland. Close to Greeley and VERY close to RMNP and other amazing hiking trails. Good price point for homes too! Feel free to email us and we can give some more info or even possibly help ya out finding one :-)
