Wow, when I first decided to make this mod I thought Receiver was dead. I just wanted to try and give the game mechanics the love they deserved. I never expected Wolfire Games to take any interest in this project, let alone push an update to Receiver then announce Receiver II, and on top of that make a mod review of this mod. I'm just hoping now that Receiver II actually makes full use of these game mechanics.
Oh, and to anyone who plays the mod, you're welcome for not adding drones :) (but that might change in the future)
I have never installed any mods into Minecraft because i'm always scared that i'll do something wrong or that if i install a mod and an update comes to MC, i won't be able to update because of the mod(i don't know if installing MC mods prevents updating the game or if they cause issues if you update the game before the mod has received an update[if it's still being maintained actively in the first place]), but i really feel that this mod could be very interesting to try out so maybe i just really should try installing Forge after all. :0
Until now i have merely wanted to install some nice minimap/mapping mod to help with navigating and exploring the world but i have been worried about whether it will get updates along with the game... so i have refrained from it and postponed trying to install it hehe. Now there's another interesting mod out there that i feel curious about, thanks! XD
Also, congratulations for getting noticed by Wolfire Games! :D This video is a nice reminder to me about why i love indie games and their developers so much... the industry may have more resources but indies have much more freedom and flexibility to be and do all these cool things, and have more open mind about stuff their games' fans make and derive from their games. :D
Ah, i think i need to also learn how to play Receiver well so that my mind will be ready for the action when Receiver 2 arrives... :D
@@Janmeeba Your game will never update if you have mods, there are different versions for minecraft, and when you use forge, it creates it's own version for you to mod
If you want a place to search for mods, i suggest Curseforge, It's safe and has nearly all of the big mods and the cool mods and what ever mod might suit your need
Plus there's zero bullshit, and holy shit i sound like i'm in an advertisement
Anyways, there's tutorials for it, Once you get a knack for modding, the seemingly monumental task will become second nature to you, it has for me

I mean, if they release "Reciever 2" with more polish, guns, more story and a more fleshed out world, I would absolutely buy it. Just sayin.

@@Dorraj "Reciever 2: Guns are still guns, we've added another story to that building so it's now a two-story building, but you wanted more fleshed out world so that story is made out of flesh. Enjoy!"
The "Take and Hold" mode in "Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades" comes close, though it is VR Only
