My parents took me to see him when I was younger and he pulled me up on stage to sing this with him. Ran into him the next day at the pool and he came right over to say hi. Remembered my name. Classy gentleman right there!
Omg I went to see him in 2002. I was 22. My team was out there to play U of H. Despite being young I loved Don Ho. His daughter was performing with him as well. He was greeting people before and started telling me about his footballs days. Anyways, before tiny bubbles played her called me up on stage and let me sing it with him. It is my most special memory outside of wife and kids.
I remember when my Father brought home Don Ho's vinyl Record Album in the 1970's. He was mostly a Country Music enthusiast, but he played this song over and over until he could play and sing it. He never learned to read music. This is a beautiful memory for me. Thank You ❤️
Sensacional!
Lyrics ♥♥ Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles) In the wine (in the wine) Make me happy (make me happy) Make me feel fine (make me feel fine) Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles) Make me warm all over With a feeling that I'm gonna Love you till the end of time So here's to the golden moon And here's to the silver sea And mostly here's a toast To you and me So here's to the ginger lei I give to you today And here's a kiss That will not fade away
I wanted so much to see him when he performed in the Ilikai hotel. My husband refused to take me probably because he would have to pay to attend this. My mother offered to take me, but I wanted so much to go with my husband. Now I regret that I didn't go with her. I would have one more beautiful memory about her.
From _Laugh-In_ 's joke wall: "If Ida Lupino had married Don Ho, she'd be Ida Ho." Of course the ultimate one of these was, "If Sybil Burton had married Ish Kabibble, she'd be Sybil Kabibble."
We had the Don ho show for few months back I think in the 80s or 70s but anyways he actually went to Kamehameha schools and you asked children are what poi was and he ain't got a shock of his life they asked the kids what poi was and one kid wallpaper paste masoor Dal you had put some in there to give it chased otherwise it's really bland

When I came to Vancouver, I didn't speak a lot of English, but love Don Ho shoe, and fell love with his music and his voice.!
One regret, not seeing him in person. I still sing that song out loud. It’s history!

Lyrics ♥♥
Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the wine (in the wine)
Make me happy (make me happy)
Make me feel fine (make me feel fine)
Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
Make me warm all over
With a feeling that I'm gonna
Love you till the end of time
So here's to the golden moon
And here's to the silver sea
And mostly here's a toast
To you and me
So here's to the ginger lei
I give to you today
And here's a kiss
That will not fade away
