You just gotta love this channel...I got here because of drone filming and flying. But what i appreciate the most is that Matt here doesn't use the most expensive gear to explain the basics (unless he's talking about a piece of expensive gear in particular😅). Thanks for this video.. I accidentally got a shot like this with my gopro yesterday..the one push forward and look up, right toward the end? This video is very encouraging to me. I actually posted the video 😯 I took a wee ride around Orange County, California.. kind of on random actually. I shot quite a few clips but narrowed it down to just about 2 minutes. I forget exactly. At one point I rode past Angel Stadium, and when I got home that clip (the big A in the parking lot) looks a lot like what you did in the castle ruins toward the end. I have NO room left on my laptop so I had to import from the gopro and edit in there, and all I used was sound effects and one tiny voiceover. I expect much improvement following your tips, thanks again 😁

For a lot of these try to film with your finger on the lock trigger and gimbal in tilt lock mode, that way it avoids the unwanted turning

Great video, but I’m a little confused because sometimes it looks like you are shooting vertical, but then you show the footage in horizontal? Eg at 5 mins mark

I noticed in some parts of the video, you’re using the native iPhone camera app. Do you prefer that over the Mimo app for these types of shots?

I just bought this. Having problems setting up . Could you do a lesson on first use etc and settings.
I have a Sony alpha 6500 with a kit lens and a Sigma30mm prime lens. I also have an iphone 15 pro. I run a chain of cafes and want to shoot reels and videos of brewing coffee and cooking food and all that kinda stuff. Idk if I should buy a Ronin or an Osmo 6. Can I buy Ronin and use both on it? Or should I skip that and buy an osmo 6 for the iphone since, the content shot on iphone is already optimized for Instagram which would be my primary media platform for posting the videos. Please let me know. Thanks

@@thivohoang563 it’s got to be a very small low profile case for it to work. Like you can’t use the clip with an otter box for example

Great clip Mattheww. As primarily a still photographer disappointed that the DJI Mimo app does not provide for format settings to RAW/DNG. Have any solution? Pass on "Gripe" to DJI. We used to be able to get RAW/DNG + JPEG back with the app & OM 3&4. With the OM 5&6 that has gone missing. Kind of makes the newer gimbals a video only or a specialty effects tool for JPEG only shooting. Again thanks and also thanks for the great work on Mavic 3 series.

I have the OM4 which I bought some time ago and really use it for Timelapse . However, I've recently started using Moment lenses > particularly the gold anamorphic Len's + ND filter set up. So the weight is problematical now 🥴
Not sure if you use lenses on your phone (not noticed this in any of your videos I've watched?). Do you know if iPhone 12 Pro Max + anamorphic Len's + VND set up will work with the DJI OM6? Merry Christmas to you 🎅🏴
Did you end up figuring this out? I have the pro max as well!! I’m worried about weight also. I think it’s too heavy.
@@mallory1028 yes I have worked it out by using counter weights on my OM6. The body of the gimbal is threaded to allow the attachment of counter weights
@@jamesss1953 I saw this too. I like to use a polarizing filter for some of my shots, and I got a clip on. It doesn't add that much weight but I don't want to wear out the motors by winging it. I think if you're going to add anything to the phone..especially to one end of it..that will throw the balance, you need to consider counterweights. There are plenty out there that aren't very pricey. Well sorted
