    David, out of every thing you added to your coach, I would have to say, the electronic dump valves for your gray and black tanks is my favorite. I'm going to remember that.

    • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yes! A total must have for any future coach! It is one of those things that once you have them, you would not want to be without. Seeing we keep our gray tank closed, we would be going outside to dump quite often. :) Being able to keep it closed also makes for a cleaner gray tank. (well, as much as you can call it clean.) :)

    David and Brenda. Been a subscriber since you started. We were full timing at the time but family issues brought us home and only part timers now. That aside, love your “must haves” we have been using many of those products for quite a while.
    I like the Cam-loc system so much that all my water connections use camlocs sure makes life easier. We also converted our water system to produce reverse osmosis water which we store in our water tank. That allows us to rinse our coach with RO water. Not quite as good as DI but very close! I also have started to adapt our coach using an Alexa interface. So lights, auxiliary pumps (RO high pressure) are managed by several WiFi enabled devices controlled by Alexa.
    You and Brenda have done wonderful work in educating the community as well as entertaining many of us. Thank you

I also use the same ones on my windshield wipers while we are parked. Keeps the rubber from drying out so fast. Just a reminder, five year anniversary means tire replacement. It's not just the condition of your tires it's the date of your tires. After five years they are more likely to have a blowout.
    Be safe and replace!

    Hey, how about the ScanGuard for engine data? Also, I don't want to get political, BUT---You have a Tiffin Allegro Bus!!! After 5 years of full time living, I think you have had minimal problems compared to other manufactures. Every motorhome will have problems, but that Allegro Bus has performed very well. Sure makes me want to buy one!!!

    • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The ScanGuageD, while I like to have it, is not something we would really want to be sure we had. I surely did see it when talking about the GPS and choose not to included it. And yes, our coach has done well by us, but that does not mean others have not had issues. As you said, all manufacturers have issues as these are all human built after all. Some manufacturers surely do seem to have more issues than others though. To us, it is not a matter of what issue you may have, it is how the manufacturer treats you when it comes to getting help.

    Fun vid! Great tips! Looks like ya got your exercise for the day! LOL! Does your TPMS have tire Temp? Engine bay Foam extinguisher vs Halon? Understand priority is to stop the fire. But, does foam damage engine components/electrical systems as dry powder or chem. extinguishers can? Sorry if ya covered before! As always Thx!

    • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi...Yes, the EEZTire does have tire temp. The foam will not hurt anything and is bio-degradable and washes right off. The reason for foam is it will help keep the fire from from re-igniting. Once Halon is gone, it's gone there's nothing left to stop the fire from flaring back up. I use Clean Halon by the inverter. outsideourbubble.com/halon-fire-suppression-now-added-for-electrical/

    • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      First off CONGRATS on your new coach! Also THANK YOU SO MUCH for listening and using a TPMS! For the Monitor, what I did was under the dashboard I added in a 3 port 12V cigarette lighter. I more or less remove the dash to get to the 12V lighter and took a 3 port expander and cut the end off of it that would go into a lighter. I then use used the wires and tapped into the same 12V feed that the lighter port was using. So now under the dash I have 12V 3 lighter outlets to use for like the Monitor and GPS and whatever else. So it is all nicely hidden. For the repeater I put mine in the rear closet where our breaker box is located. In there is 110V breakers and also 12V breakers. I opened it up to get to the wires behind the 12V section and tapped into one of the 12V breakers. I then stuck the repeater to the back wall with velcro. :) I hope this helps and again, CONFGRATS!!!!!

I have under the coach right now a Winegard V1, Winegard V2, Wingard TOGO C2, and even a King Falcon Wi-Fi system. • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davespradlin791 Hi...Yes, if you look at my Wi-Fi videos, you will see I am not "normal" when it comes to Wi-Fi. Like here is the system more or less currently... th-cam.com/video/KqslIHCKC3E/w-d-xo.html Seeing you have a JetPack plan, the Winegard V2 would be a good choice as you "should" be able to use the SIM card from the JetPack in the V2 seeing it is more or less a big JetPack. So unless the SIM is locked to the JetPack, you should be fine. Then this would give you the option to be able to connect the V2 to an RV parks Wi-Fi or use the 4G data plan. This is a good as long as the RV Parks Wi-Fi is good of course and if you have a limited 4G data plan. Thus having the option to use either is a good thing.
      Here are my two videos on the Wingard V2... (From Sept 2018.)

      Good Eye...It is a DJI Headset for flying my Mavic Drone. I can use them also to watch via HDMI for a "big screen" type feel.

    Do you need to add water to your black tank before you flush it to make if flow better?

    • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. A black tank is mostly liquid as it is.

    So why did you ditch the wineguard connect 4g 2.0?

    • @DavidBott
      @DavidBott  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not "ditch it". I still have it after all. I test with it new firmware and thus need to be able to get to it. Not to mention I have so many other ways to get internet. :)

      @@DavidBott ok you said the wee boost was the one you had to have in a new coach. I had assumed the winegard was your preferred option from previous videos.

      @@Bigfish11 Two totally different things. The weBoost is the 4G signal booster for cell data. The Winegard Connect V2 is a private Wi-Fi system that you attach all your devices to and then connect that to an RV park for Internet. The Wingard comes in 2 versions, with and without 4G. It is NOT a 4G signal booster. It has much less power than the weBoost in regards to 4G.

      @@DavidBott I bought the winegard 4g a few months ago. Only used it a couple of times so far. Seemed to work well. I did not realize it did not boost cell signals.

      @@Bigfish11 The benefit of that is that it has two cell antennas that are on the roof, outside your rig. So it should do better for you based on it being outside and up higher.
