The fact that this probably turns better than Rubik's brand just makes me laugh..
Well I would hope a 1500 dollar cube turns better than a 15 dollar one tbh
imagine turning a Rubik’s 21x21x21
It’s probably cheaper as well just kidding
the only cube i have its a rubik's brand and its 7years old, and for me it turns good
@@DuskBS it seems to turn good because you dont have a comparison
What's more mind-boggling to me is how this thing was made.
Exactly! So many moving parts
the thing that's most mind boggling to me is how this monstrosity stays together and after the first or second turn doesn't fall apart
When he pulled out a piece to fixed it back, I was like "Oh so that's what it looks like.." Then he started rotating again and I just realized "WAIT A PIECE OF IT IS LONG, HOW'S NOT BENDING OR BREAKING INSIDE??"
@@Ghost19_ Not sure if I can describe it very well, but basically, when you turn a side, the pieces all go in a circle, so they make it so that the pieces are all rounded to fit that circle perfectly. It's actually really cool, I took apart my 7x7 once to see how it worked and it's a similar idea, I could see how the pieces fit together and would slide against one another.
@@yf-n7710 but it’s still crazy that this thing doesn’t just fall apart. My son has had many Rubik’s cubes and we always have to replace them because he breaks them.
It's amazing how someone can have that discipline to sit there for hours on end and solve something that seems impossible. This guy has a gift.

Hardly a gift. Once you know how to solve 5x5 you can solve any higher odd-numbered cube. Doesn't seem impossible nor is he gifted for it.

@Maxwell Cockrell it is easy solve middle and edges and pairity pairity is if you have fliped edges the you are on 3x3 stadge

Non-twisty puzzler alert
imo if you know how to solve a 5x5 or 6x6, you're pretty much all set. if you know how to create centers, edges, and fix oll parity you can think of the 21x21 as a larger version of a 5x5/6x6
Hey John You can do it with only 5x5x5 knowledge if you also learn center commutators, plus doing the ring thing he showed in the video including bringing the other pieces for the bar from the previous rings down for easier insertion helps a lot with larger puzzles like this.

Great job on not only solving the darn thing, but also solving it with a technique you came up with. Just proves to show that inspiration leads to determination.
That was insane! I can't even imagine trying to tackle that puzzle. And the fact that the pieces aren't solid enough to not pop out doesn't help. The moment a piece came out, I'd be like, "uhhh...so much for THAT puzzle.."

The fact he used a danger warning such as "do not try this at home" for a massive cube like this one shows how powerful it is.
Now that you’ve solved the physical version, you should see how much time you can shave by using a digital version.
Also, do you think it would be faster to solve the cube by disassembling and reassembling it?
I might try a cube simulator! Also it would definitely be slower to reassemble than to just solve. It would be harder to find the right piece, I still only solve one piece at a time. In my solve I average about 9-10 seconds per piece solved, and reassembling would take so much longer than that to get a piece to attach.

The way I solve the last 2 centers on bigger cubes like 7x7+ is by switching rows with few right pieces with rows that have many correct pieces. Especially in the beginning, it's more efficient than commutator the larger the cubes get. After it's no longer possible to solve pieces intuitively like that, I use commutators
I have tried and struggled to understand regular Rubik's cubes and honestly I feel like watching this solve has helped me understand the mechanics so much more than dozens of 3x3 videos
Same!
Do you mean a 3x3? If so, how? I don't see how watching a 21x21 solve can help you understand a 3x3 at all.
@@kenbrunet6120 I'm assuming you already know how to solve a 3x3, but I think, at least what I got from it, is the replacing of the colors instead of solving it by not undoing the other sides, I'm not sure if I made myself understood.

Words cannot describe your persistance to spend over 6 entire hours of nonstop turning (and pop fixing). This is what encourages me to keep on going when solving big rubik's cubes myself.
Also, I just want to ask where you bought that cube from and how much it costs. I really enjoy solving big cubes from how time consuming and endurance-testing it is. I haven't seen any more videos of you solving the 21x21 though, and I was wondering if you would still play with it. It has been my dream to solve such a big cube like a 21x21, and I was wondering if I could buy it off you for a decent price (you may know that cubes as big as these can become very expensive, being around 1500 american dollars). I do understand if you do not accept this deal, so I would also like to ask where is the best platform to buy big rubik's cubes.
Your amazing man. So humble. I know that I will never have a chance to solve the 21x21, but if I did, then my first thought probably would be, "Wow, I'm so blessed to have this opportunity."
