When a APHE shell penetrates the armor, the fuze activates only after you penetrated a certain amount of armor (which is different for each shell, soviets generally have a sensitivity of 15 mm, germans 28 mm..) and when it does then the HE filler explodes, but if you penetrate less armor than that necessary to activate the fuze then the shell simply isn't gonna detonate and will just pass throught the tank = Overpenetration. (ex: soviet 122 mm has sensitivity of 15 mm, if it hits the Nashorn near the gun, where it has 10 mm of armor, the shell will not explode after penetration, but if it hits a ZSU 57 2 the shell wil detonate because it has 15+mm of armor; the Dicker Max has around 28 mm of sensitivity, the Cromwell has a side armor of 25 mm,, and the turret ring is around 10/20 mm, so if you hit any of those parts the shell will not detonate and will just pass through the tank like a simple AP without HE filler, the Locust has very weak armor aswell; You must try to shoot at the more armored parts of the weakest tanks to be able to detonate your shell inside them) Also if you check in shells statistics it will even show you how much distance the shell will travel before exploding, after the fuze was activated; so if for example the soviet 122 mm shell will explode 1,5 m after penetrating at least 15 mm of armor then all the spaced armor that the Super Pershing has will not be able tol detonate the shell between the additional plates even if the fuze activates (and it does, after penetrating the first additional plate) because it must still travel 1,5 meters and by that time it will be inside the tank.
Krebs, you didn't win, you tied. You always tie when the timer runs out. And the friendly kill popped up shortly after you got in the short barrel Pz.IV, presumably from your arty killing them.
Tried Realistic today (I rarely do so) and yes, you can survive with one crue member. It happend to me. But since I didn't know how to switch between gunner and driver position, I just drove around. Luckily match ended soon.
always take 2 or 3 HE shells in your tanks so you can easyly finish of these american/russian AA or AT trucks or the early german tank destroyers or a hellcat or or or ... they are more usefull than you might think
How do you do that?! I mean every game I get singled out 3 vs 1 and usually die. Sometimes even without even firing a single round... how do you move that great? You always seem to be in the right spot... Inspiring!

just be cautious. move from cover to cover. check all around you. learn about opposing tanks, aim for their gunners ammo or fuel tanks. check out krebs video on angling the tank. just dont rush around like a fool, watch how fast your team is advancing and keep to the same pace. sometimes it feels boring and nothing is happening, that is bcus the enemy is waiting for you in ambush
Camping is getting easy kills, its obvious it's annoying, but im not a long range tanker or camper. Im just objective defender or a flanker to get the objective
Its simple, if you dont want to sit, wait and ambush your enemy, then simply dont play tank destroyers in the fist place, since that is what tank destroyers literaly do. Playing any tank destroyer in AB literaly destroys its purpose sadly, because AB is so badly, designed.

Measuring range means he's finding out how far the enemy is, also I think you need to go to options.
