    2023 Ford F-350 4x4 Dually with the 6.8L has 6,903 capacity. Drop it to 4x2 and the capacity bumps up to 7,344. You did very well with 5,202 capacity with that build, the book has it at 4,973 capacity for the 6.7L H.O.. Cheers.

    Somewhere in Utah you have been bit by the Duallybug lol i say if you want to do it do it though, i do feel though as far as content though everyone knows that the dually is at the top of the food chain, I'm one that is really more interested in what a gasser can do now meaning i don't want to mess with everything that comes with the diesel, either way I'll still be watching

    5:02 that is, but is not dual alternators. The one on driver side is a 12v and the one on passenger side is the 24v generator for pro power onboard. It should have its own belt -that one only kicks on if pro power generator mode is turned on, to power the inverter under the rear seat…since pro power onboard utilizes a 24v system separate from the main truck 12v system. My 23 lariat HO also has PPOB and Powerstroke Tech Talk w/ARod did a video on PPOB as did DS Trucks recently.

    The comparisons would make great content comparing the two duallys. I do believe that ford gives you more features and technology for new trucks these days. Gm was just a “refresh interior with new bumpers and new engine” this year ford was completely redesigned for 2023 model year. I hope you can get it or get a different ford in the future!

    There is no sense in getting a 350 dually always go 450. Diesel is standard on 450 , wide trac front end , 430 gears ,19.5 rims and tires.

      Unless you need to absolutely maximize your payload, then the 350 makes sense.

    • @chucklohnes7652
      @chucklohnes7652 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johnpalmer3848 once again coming from someone who has had multiple of both trucks… 450. Just the steering alone if nothing else is a reason for the 450. Bigger axles and brakes also. There is no sense in buying a 350 dually just buy a 350 SRW.

    • @johnpalmer3848
      @johnpalmer3848 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@chucklohnes7652 I don't disagree with you that the 450 is the more desirable, especially for the front axle and steering.
      But that steering does you no good whatsoever if you don't have the payload numbers for your load. In those edge cases where you need to absolutely maximize your payload numbers, then the 350 is the way to go.
      A comparably equipped 350 will always have a higher payload than the 450 simply because the 350 base weight doesn't crowd the 14,000 pound limit (on both trucks) as much as the 450 does. Those bigger axles, brakes, and other equipment are heavy!

      @johnpalmer3848
      As an F-450 owner, I agree with both of you....at least on paper.
      The turning radius was the absolute selling point for me, but the GVWR is just a marketing ploy to keep the DOT happy, how can both trucks have the same GVWR with the beefier axles, brakes you mentioned PLUS the G rated tires on the 450???
      The 450 is obviously under-rated.
      The 350 does have some distinct advantages that have little to do with an artificial increased payload.
      I ALMOST might get a gssser....but probably not, but the choice is there on the 350.
      The axle ratio choice is another 350 advantage......I had 3.55's on my SRW F-350 and honestly never felt a need for higher numerically gearing.
      In a strange anomaly, so far I have seen higher MPG on the 450 with 4.30's.....????
      I think either truck fits the bill, and the choice is based solely on what's important to you.
      For me, it'll always be an F-450....but I see the why people would choose the 350.

  • @matthewanderson9912

    So it’s a nice truck but definitely not the best value. That’s $13,000 more than your LTZ was and if you had the one package on the LTZ you would have almost everything the Ford has minus the sunroof and still be $8000 cheaper.
    But it is a nice optioned truck and in my opinion a lot better value than a King Ranch or Platinum, especially considering they would cost another $10,000 easy.

    I don’t want to sound like a Chevy meat-rider here, but a similarly optioned LTZ dually with the bells and whistles would be about 10k less. A loaded High Country about the same price as this middle-of-the-road trim truck from Ford. Plus those headlights 🤮

    • @dallasfrost1996

    • @jeffs2809

      Maybe prices have changed in the past few months, but I’ve built very similarly equipped trucks from gmc, ford & ram. All 1 ton srw gas, middle trim level (lariat, Laramie, slt/at4) & they were all within a few thousand of each other. Ram was highest, ford & gmc were very close to each other.
