- Today I'm going to capitalize on the success of one of my earlier videos, Nintendo Sucks, and kickstart a series of videos where I complain about different video game companies for some stupid decisions they've made. This video is specifically focused on Activision Blizzard.

today in this video I talk about Activision Blizzard, who have made games like Call of Duty, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, and are currently still developing Call of Duty Warzone (A free to play battle royale experience). I also talk about their current ongoing lawsuit by the state of california. Oh also Activision Blizzard publishes games like Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and Diablo. - เกม

I’d say EA is next in line but thankfully hasn’t gotten to this scale of sexual harassment (there’s almost certainly some and it needs rooted out but it’s better than it being ignored at this scale)

Nintendo is still worse in terms of how they treat their consumers and IP. Activision Blizzard is worse in terms of how they treat their employees and the company as a whole. It's like playing a game of whose the worst jeopardy.
Man, like 4 years ago our school had a field trip at Blizzards office, and it was the coolest field trip i’ve ever been on. All the sick statues and crazy offices, we even met Jeff Kaplan himself and got pictures with him!

And this is why I'm scared of working for a company, just looking at companies and seeing what companies do to screw over many people just makes me think i should just be a indie dev or not be a dev at all. The only studio that my friend suggest was 343, knowing this from Activision and Blizzard I know they probably wont recover or continues to be a shitty company.
And 343 just got done sh*ting all over halo infinite. Tell your buddy that whoever made it to where a shoulder pad is a microtransaction needs to be castrated.
Recognize what makes makes companies fall and do the opposite.

It's so sad to see that Crash and Spyro, two beloved IPs, are in the dirty hands of this devil of a company.

Blizzard has a bad tendency of ruining their own games through updates. For example, Overwatch was great during its first two years or so, but now has so many changes that it's arguably a worse experience. I heard WoW did a similar thing.
You were right... MW2019 mulitplayer has a 120 GB installation at 5mb... When the game released, multiplayer was like 45gB
Reading this after Diablo 4's Season 1 patch makes this all the more hilarious. Microsoft would have a better time reforming Activision entirely because the reputation they hold is beyond repair in my eyes.

And Bungie's former owner now bought Activision. I hope that leads Activision blizzard to a brighter future, but until the acquisition goes through, I don't see this happening

I don’t know if that holds true anymore. Sure, when you look at things like FSX or much of the Xbox 360 landscape, Microsoft is a heavy hitter and responsible for millions of people’s greatest memories, but I can’t say that’s true anymore, especially after Minecraft Bedrock. As the parent company of Mojang, it’s their responsibility to ensure that Mojang is doing the right thing for what is Microsoft’s IP. But all Microsoft cares about is profit, not their community. They literally do not care when Mojang makes an idiotic marketplace or off-parity update because the marketplace is sô ridiculously profitable. Also windows 11 sucks

If you’re wondering about Overwatch, it’s basically what you said: Blizzard has ZERO idea about what their player base wants. Balancing is absolutely awful, buffing and nerfing characters depending on a recent tournament and completely ruining average play. They add characters who, although they seem cool, ruin the game and aren’t fun to play against. They single-handedly managed to make the game so bad that it’s basically destitute, and I hardly see people playing it much anymore. Sure, it’ll have some diehard fans who’ll come back for Overwatch 2, but I have a feeling that Overwatch 2 will die much quicker than Overwatch, and the player base will dwindle to nothing.
Overwatch wouldn't even be dying if Blizzard wasn't exceptional at the "ignore Overwatch fans" game.
I play Tracer but she hasn't had a buff since...ever? Everyone's imbalanced, especially with Bastion able to take down double shields without needing to aim. Brig is OP for a healer, she's never actually healing. Junkrat and Hog need nerfs YESTERDAY. It's just out of control and so unenjoyable right now. Blizzard being a trash company is all the more reason to put it down.

btw that character he mentions that got released (ashe) in blizcon 2018, is actually THE worst character in overwatch, and people hate it cause she is genuinely a really fun character, and one of the few DPS in that game i feel confident in.

2:49 Neversoft was actually merged with IW. The neversoft team made the Extinction game mode and zombies in IW. They actually put a ton of reference to their old games and even hid the neversoft logo in the cod games they worked on haha

I had issues with starting up COD Warzone/Modern Warfare and they told me to 'scan and repair' the game, but it only made things worse cause it restarts to scan every damn time.. After it hits 90%, it gives an error that something went wrong..

When you mentioned other competitive games with prolific cheating issues, I’m surprised you didn’t mention dead by daylight. To be fair, the massive security issue where it was possible for people to access streamers’ IPs and DDOS them, bricking up their router for weeks (which, it’s been three months since this issue became widely known about, still haven’t done a thing to fix it or said anything about trying to fix it) but yea in DBD, there are most likely more cheaters at top ranks than actual high-ranking players at this point and the things BHVR has been doing almost seem to ENCOURAGE more cheaters (I.E., putting the game on sale at EXTREME discounts in other countries which makes account selling super easy, putting the game on the epic games store with cords progress and even giving the game out FOR FREE on the first week, which essentially allowed cheaters to unban themselves with new, free accounts and yet cross-progression is not available on any other platform as of now) and it’s really frustrating and it’s extra frustrating to see the devs respond like massive children and take cute little twitch shirt cosmetics from streamers bc they call BHVR out for not addressing their issues. Absolute insanity.

I seriously hope Toys for bob will come back to making spyro and crash games since they've done what i think was an amazing job with them giving these two games the absolute love and respect. sure the n.sane trilogy wasn't technically developed by them but still point stands
3:09 they also have a horrible problem called R.A.T (remote access Trojan) which the executor can take full control of your entire pc
Modern warfare (2019) was probably one of my favorite games to play cuz with friends it was a whole lotta fun. then they decided to make vanguard and try to mush all three games together (MW, CW, and vanguard) which broke everything and all of them are now full of countless bugs and nothing works.

It doesn’t cost anything to sell a digital copy of a game. Honestly if I ever make my own game studio and start producing proper games, my plan would be to drop the price of the game after its cost to make was paid off.
If it costs me $10,000 to make the game, and the game was being sold for $20, then after I made the $10,000 back I would set the price to like $5-$10 bucks because after that it’s all just profits.
Yes I know, companies still need to pay their workers, that’s why extra content is put out and more games are made. Why would anybody buy a game for $60 when it was released 30-40 years ago Nintendo?

@@kayabasogul1370 did you read my entire comment? I acknowledged that workers still need to get paid at the end and how to combat that, and on top of that, single player games don’t need servers, not to mention if going through steam, they supply the servers so I still wouldn’t have to pay for any.

3:05 AND crashes on PC in the helicopter mission where Woods get injured and u gotta help him, this is due to the actual OS and activision hasnt fixed it yet in steam. Yet they charge 60 euros... but they dont fix the campaign freezing at the 4th mission
WoW has only gone down hill ever since Activision absorbed them. Mist of Pandaria was the last expansion that I would call "decent" while a lot of people would say Legion was the last "good" expansion. However, what a lot of people seem to complete disregard is just how horribly little effort was put into Legion's development. The only pieces of gear that you got were armor, and you could get shards to either put new stats on your weapon or level up your weapon, because that means so fucking much compared to getting a new weapon that's an actual upgrade. Legion was basically just stuck around your weapons which they called Artifact Weapons, and completely ruined most, if not all lore behind these weapons that were previously unobtainable or weren't in the game. Thanks Activision.

WoW and Blizzard were in such a bad state that the same fans of that game that looked at Final Fantasy XIV and called it a "weeb" game and said it was a bad game, were the first to jump to Final Fantasy XIV just so that they didn't have to play WoW.
Great video, just found your channel, but I do have to disagree with the endorsement of invasive anti-cheat during the warzone section. With the state of privacy in the modern internet it is simply unacceptable to have a program that is THAT invasive on a home computer, go with the system CS:GO has, not perfect but at least you aren't giving up security for it.

Overwatch’s state is annoying. The meta is double shields and cc, you shoot at barriers half the game and then get stunned, bashed, rocked, and then you die
i was really bad at overwatch so i only saw like 4 whole teams throughout the year i played it that actually played like they were a real competitive team and i remember I immediately started not enjoying the game as much

I hope they get shut down so that all the games and franchises under their name can get a chance at redemption. I’m talking reboots/ remakes/ continuations of stuff like Guitar Hero, Skylanders, Singularity, Diablo. Also, IDK if they own the publishing rights to Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein 2009 but if they do maybe we could see a rerelease of those two classics

Blizzard fucking destroyed WoW... They have changed literally everything people liked about it, and left it a lifeless husk... they ignore every single thing the community tells them and keep releasing stuff even when everybody hated it in the public test realm
The devs are so unbelievably out of touch with their community, and you can very clearly tell the devs (or atleast the ones making the decisions) do not play the game, a quick example: a few years ago they removed a feature in the game everybody loved called tier sets, people where understandably upset about it and kept asking and pestering them to put it back in the game... to the point they finally said they would, jump a few YEARS later to the most recent patch, where they took tier sets, took away literally everything people liked about them, and added them back into the game... and they dont understand why people hate it... yeah I wonder why

Overwatch is generally awful due to the fact that when i play there is no skill based matchmaking so i get put up against prestige 5 (level 500) and people who have played nothing but overwatch for its whole lifespan. And my whole team is filled with people who just started
