I was doing a woman's lawnboy, with a Kohler, it wouldn't run, or it ran ruff, turned out to be the resistor inside the spark plug boot, just wanted to share that if anyone has that problem.
You ever change the trans fluid in a Honda HRX 217? My 217 seems slow when cold as it warms up it gets a little faster.

Why are the Kohler air filters so expensive compare to other brands like Briggs .

What weight oil do you use sae 30 is getting harder to find
I use 10w30, a synthetic blend is ok too
Can an auto choke be put on that type of mower ?
yea you'd have to replace a lot of parts tho
mine was running great 4 weeks ago then i tried to pull it 8 times still wont start turns over no start
So I will try your method to see what happens
