the quality of the videos caught my attention, seeing a swiss nr-plate on in kept me here. born and still live in the same canton :D. would like to get a ride in this, even as passenger.
After a 15 month wait, I just got hold of a GR Corolla and my one real gripe are also the seats, cannot lower them enough. Otherwise just fun to drive and just enough space to work as daily. The engine and the AWD are amazing, but the handling and sound are also great in stock spec. This is working great as my one and only car.
Your comments remind me of the old Evo Makkinen edition … it only makes sense as both cars where set up by that same person. Couple of weeks ago i was in Liguria driving the Highway from Genua to France and i was able to keep up with all the high Power Sportscars, i lost them a bit on the straights but was easily able tho catch them in the corners. On mountain roads i‘m always stuck behind seemingly faster cars and bikes and my Yaris is totally stock. It‘s also a very easy car to drive fast if you get to know it‘s characteristics a bit. Again a wonderful Video by Luke (i don‘t even want to call it „a video“ his contents are more like a immersive artful experience)
Im from SoCal and funny enough I was watching the other episodes about this car last night. I just bought a GR corolla and took it to the canyon this morning. Handles insanely well and worth every penny!
I’ve done 41000 miles in my pearl circuit car it now fits like a glove. It’s a bonkers car. Trust me it gets better as the miles piles on, it doesn’t loosen up until the 12000 miles service. A to B it’s really fast in all weathers.
Great vid. I moved from the usa to Portugal a year ago and I picked up a GR Yaris. It’s great on the tight and twisty roads here in the north of Portugal. I must say, the landscapes in this video are stunning. Reminds me of Oregon (my favorite state) back in the US.
Dismounting the wheels, I managed to fit a 33kg emtb in the back with rear seats down. So yes, it is possible and quick release tyres make it work within 5 min :) Anti-slide mat adviced
@@carswithluke yeah, the atmosphere is so magical with snow. In the meantime, I'll watch some videos from last winters (the ones with Audi RS4 and RS6 in Austria are epic)🙌

Awesome Luke! Really enjoying your excitement. Quick question, which pas you’re on in this video? I’m planning to hit some passes in August with my motorcycle.
You do not need to change the exhaust or the suspension, what’s wrong with the factory suspension… nothing, it’s extremely good, there’s loads of aftermarket brands hyping their stuff and you have to see that for what it is and realise Toyota over engineered this car in many areas , including the dampers.
Luke spent 8 minutes looking for faults in the vehicle and immediately accelerated, forgot about it and talked about how incredible it is to drive that vehicle. hahaha
