Subscribed. The host is insightful and charming; the lady is caring, smart, and beautiful inside and out.
I would like to add that many people with gut damage avoid breakfast and eat late at night; so this gut damage needs to be addressed first.
If a person regularly wakes with a sore throat and flu like symptoms that disappear and hour after waking, then they are having acid reflux while they sleep due to eating right before sleep.
No appetite in the morning is because the liver is still working on detox and isn't ready to start making bile for fat digesting fats. Eating late means that the liver is making bile and can't start it's nightly detox.
If fruit makes a person feel queasy then they have low stomach acid due to gut damage. The watery fruit dilutes their acid further resulting in feeling queasy. IBS equals gut damage. Food intolerance equals gut damage.
So, people with gut damage who avoid breakfast: first stop eating before sleeping and second eat a light fat free breakfast so that your liver can continue to function instead of making bile for a little longer. If food can't be faced then a glass of water with juice of half a lemon or lime or a few TSP of apple cider vinegar. Any fruit or veg that can be tolerated (not avocado or coconut). When you can eat fruit in the morning without pain and queasiness then your gut is healed.
GAPS diet for healing the gut.
Hangover cure: Lemon/lime/acv water, wait 30 mins, eat fruit when feeling better and starving eat big breakfast. This allows your liver to continue processing the alcohol instead of switching to make bile. Actually, if this is done everyday, after a few months hangovers will be a thing of the past because the liver will function better.

I love red/yellow/orange bell pepper and hummus. Or frittata eggs with avocado, onions, and mushrooms. I do start the day with a tablespoon of olive oil that has the tracer on the bottle to trace the sorcerers. Like Terra brand. On the weekend I have real (fermented) sour dough bread with a good fiber content and grass fed butter. Organic IZZIO sourdough is a great brand for taste, texture, real fermentation, and good carb to fiber ration. They have it with and without seeds.

Fresh fruit after a meal is an issue for people with gut damage: it simply dilutes their already high ph acid and further slows down digestion. It's a sign of gut damage if a person likes cooked fruit and dried fruit but avoids fresh.

I had mashed potatoes and had spike to 160, 2 hours later still 160, I walked 15 minutes it went down to 96 BUT 15 minutes later it went back up to 160... then after hour 3 it finally came back down... craziness. I did ACV before too.
I have been trying to see how different food effect me. I can have 1 or 2 baked potatoes but mashed seem to spike me.

I'm sorry, I'm very interested in "Eat Your Food in the Order....", but I really can't devote 2 hours and 22 minutes to arrive at the answer! And I'm diabetic and old (76). This "interviewer" continually interrupts the flow of the interview to interject his own questions. He does it all the time in his interviews of really interesting people with interesting ideas, but with largely irrelevant questions, as if he's being paid by time. It's driving me mad. The last time I want to listen to him. How do you put interviewers on 'ignore'???

Eat the food in the right order means 1. Vegetables 2.proteins 3.fats 4 carbs (starches and sugars). Hope this helps. She has shorter videos addressing her food hacks to lover blood sugar spikes.

ya absolutely annoying interviewer. He not only Interrupts too frequently but he goes on and on about his own experience and wat he did and how he did and wat he thinks about everything. He is boring beyond words.

If you do not wish to be shown videos from Dhru do this:
click the back arrow at top left of your screen. That will take you back to whatever you previously watched. Then find this video again in the list of suggested videos on the right side of the screen. Do not click on the title but do click on the 3 vertical dots. Click on the dots and it will give you a list of options. Second to last is " Don't Recommend channel". Dhru always has knowledgeable guests AND they are always long because they go deep into the scientific theory :) I never watch the whole thing either but usually in the viewer comments someone will summarize it for us. Check out channels like Dr.Ken Berry, Dr. Eric Berg, Dr.Sten Ekberg and many more who teach Keto and Carnivore to reverse diabetes (II) very quickly! Don't worry too much about the order in which you eat your meals right now - just focus on eliminated all ultra-processed foods (includes sugars and grains and flavored drinks). Basically just eat animals products and green vegetables, no starchy root veg. You'll see your A1C start dropping pretty quickly. Good luck! Write back if i've confused you :)

I had similar feelings/annoyance with other interviewers. I haven’t watched this full video yet to see if he interrupts her before she finishes her statements so I cannot judge. However, this happened with another podcaster he kept interrupting the guest and talking about his own personal experiences and she couldn’t finish the statement about the most important information she came to share (and I came for!!) about healing ancestral trauma that was the subject of the interview that’s why my best best best interviewer is Steven from The Diary of a CEO, he reaaaaaaallly gives all the time and space to his guests and rarely interrupts them. I am not surprised his channel keeps growing, he has this skill and it is really the secret of a successful interviewer to know the right questions to ask, to let the guest take the time to elaborate and to know what to comment. It’s an art and not as easy as it may seem especially us watching it’s easy for us to judge. I believe all interviewers are trying to do their best and may be there is an audience who prefers the more active participation and personal stories of the interviewer too.❤❤

Protein powder, at least whey and casein, are very insulinogenic. Not a good idea to add to oats.

Calorie counting is one of the biggest myths of the 20th century. Slim, lean people like virtually everyone in the 50s never counted calories, their calorie intake just naturally balanced with their energy burn. This was precisely because of their food choices. In other words the right food makes you more active naturally and then muscle tone increases and metabolism rises.

She's eating the wrong type of oats. Instant v whole rolled oats; the latter will not spike blood sugar and is highly filling and nutritious particularly if it is soaked overnight.

The number of pre-diabetes or diabetes quoted is incorrect. Around half the Chinese and Indian populations alone have one or the other which brings it close to 1 billion
