    Just scooped up a Vr75 wind of last season. I’m happy with the reel super light, compact, holds more than enough braid, smooth quiet drag. So far it’s handled striped bass up into the teens 12-15lbs class with some smaller speckled trout and southern flounder just fine. Looking forward to the spring run in the northeast to start and really test it out.

    Have you had any line coning issues with the 75? When I spooled mine up it seems to lay more on the bottom of the spool and taper off towards the front. Thanks

      Thanks for the comment. I have not any issues with line lay. May I ask what type of line you maybe using I have been successful with power pro super slick 8 20lb.

      @nico3.8rspec 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From my knowledge with stradics and vanfords, they give you the little disc thing to put on the little pole where the spool sits. That basically lets it level out the line a lot more evenly when you spool

    great vid, I am looking at the van stall vr 75 , after watching your video it seems like a great investment as I only live 3 miles from the ocean and surf fish quite often. thanks for the info in the video, great job.

    • @mikestacklebox
      @mikestacklebox  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks james unless you are an avid surf fisherman than sure it definitely makes sense. Definitely think about your target species in your area as the 75 maybe too large or possibly a vr50 makes sense.

      Naww my friend I love it. A bit of a learning curve.. you would be surprised on what that “0.1oz”feels like honestly it maybe a little bit more. All in all from what I’ve learned from last year was just fatigue and weight. Mark was on to something when he brought it to you that day.

    Mike, how can you fit a VR75 on a trifecta lite? My reel seat does not fully screw in like yours does with a VR75? I can only fit a few millimeters on each end.

    • @mikestacklebox
      @mikestacklebox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did have to clearance a small amount my self to accommodate the wider footprint on the reel seat. When switching back to the Vr50 does not affect the fitment as well. Depends on the particular lures I want to throw that I will switch back and forth..Hopefully that helps.

    • @TheUnlistedOne
