    Hi Chioma!
Let’s say I have 50,000 AUD divided into three banks. I’m just a graduating student, I haven’t had a work experience. My money is from a small business that I had established last 2022 during the pandemic and also from the lot that my family had sold. The money is under my name and I will be the one to pay for my tuition fee, living expense, and every process for visa application.
What are the chances that I will be granted for student visa approval? Or will the bank ask me to provide any proof where I got my money since I dont have work experience?

Hi Dee Wana. Just a bit more to go to hit the 90 days. I would say get to that threshold before applying - just to cover your bases. If you get stipends on your scholarship toward living expenses, calculate the total amount in stipends and subtract from the standard amount as set out by immigration. Add your travel cost to that balance and show as evidence if you are coming alone.

The way to show this is to present tax assessment not through bank statements

    • @lifewithchioma

Yes, here in Australia, you get a tax summary every year. This is a document that shows how much you earned in a year and the tax you paid. If your spouse or parent can show this document, a bank statement is not necessary, but again, please I am not an expert on this. I only relayed information I found on the immigration website.

Hi Precious, this is my opinion (and I am no expert). In addition to the funds, you need to prove your relationship to your spouse and that you have access to that money. In this case your husband will need to write a sponsorship letter in addition to providing his business documents (eg business registration, tax assessment and any other document to show the business is thriving). If you are signatory to the business account, you also want to state that to demonstrate access to the funds. Just a few suggestions.

Good day. My grand aunt who is a Australian citizen living in Adelaide will be sponsoring me. Meaning I’d be living with her so I don’t have to pay for rent or pay for food. She will also be paying for my studies. So will she still need to prove that she has the $21,000 for living expenses if I’ll be living with her? Thank you so much

Hi Mohamed, I suppose you will still need to prove the genuineness of that arrangement to immigration. I can't say whether you will still need to show monetary evidence. Please speak to a registered migration agent to clarify this. Thanks.

Hello, please is it advisable to select a course that lasts 1.5-2 years.... Will I get the 2-3 post study permit with such a course

Hi Ernestina, I just realised I didn't reply this comment. Yes, you will still get the post-study visa. Just think carefully about studying a course less than 2 years in duration because you may not get points for the Australian study requirement toward PR.

Hi Chioma, I want to come and study there, thereafter I bring family, could I manage to take care of my family in terms of needs?

Yes, you can bring your family during or after your studies. If you have children, it's best to have your partner with you as you may struggle to shoulder the living expenses by yourself while you study.

Will the partner be allowed to work full time if they came as a dependent to one holding a student visa?
