    You're indeed doing a great job with this Chioma. One other aspect that people don't get to discuss enough as far as student visa is concerned, is the issue of OSHC (i.e. health insurance cover). Especially for PhD students planning to come with family; people need to understand the requirements for total cover for everybody on the visa, and for the total duration of the program.
    Well done ma'am.

    • @lifewithchioma
      @lifewithchioma  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks Bobmanuel. You raise a great point about OHSC. I will pin your comment, so others can see it, especially people coming with family. I hope your studies are going as expected.

      @@lifewithchioma Hi, can you clarify the ambiguity surrounding Proof of Fund? If DHA documentary checklist didn't state PoF as part of what to tender, is it then a MUST?

    • @lifewithchioma
      @lifewithchioma  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@akinwaleakinrinde8964 It would appear to not be mandatory when you use the document checklist tool on the website, but I know 2 people whose visas have been denied for PoF reasons. One of them was contacted to show evidence of PoF within a certain number of days and the visa was subsequently denied. The other one had a straight up rejection - no request to provide it. The visa officer has that much discretion. So my advice is, provide it even if not asked, because you may not even be given the opportunity to provide it at a later date.

      The ease of obtaining the Australian student visa.
      The job/work opportunity for one undergoing an MSC studies in Australian University,for Nigerians.

    All I can advise people on GTE is exactly what you said. Sit, read your GTE statement and verify if you have documents to proof each and every of your claims. If you claim to work, what's the evidence? Your parents are aged, do you have their birth cert or affidavit? You're married and/or have a child, what's the proof?
    I was lucky enough to get my GTE approved in 4 days. It's doable, provide evidence for all your claims. Assume they see in you a liar, prove your claims beyond reasonable doubt!

    Hello Chioma. You look so elegant in that white shirt and gold chain😍 (as always)
    I wonder if coming over to do a MSW qualifying with a BSW won't be a red flag... There's a high unemployment rate amongst social workers in SA so I don't have work experience after my qualification.

    • @lifewithchioma
      @lifewithchioma  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I replied your comment, refreshed my page and it disappeared, so if you see 2 replies, it's the internet gods 😊.
      Aww, thanks!
      An MSW after a BSW is an accepted progression. I know, the 'Qualifying' bit isconfusing, but the course structure for MSW and MSW(Q) are similar, so you should be fine applying for either. Have you considered applying for PR with your BSW? You may still meet the cut off even without work experience. Use the points test and see how many points you get.

    My students visa is refused 2 times :
    First rejected on 30 September 2021 , the reason is they not believe as I’m back to my home Country.
    Second rejected on 21 July 2022, the reason
    I have considered the applicant’s circumstances in his home country
    And some reason that are seems to be unfair .

    • @lifewithchioma
      @lifewithchioma  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, you will need to write a convincing personal statement to explain your switch into another field. Find out what your scholarship covers and then subtract that from the total funds required for your first 12 months of stay. That will be the amount you will need to demonstrate as PoF. Please watch this video I made recently th-cam.com/video/CnmKFXqMARE/w-d-xo.html. Yes you can come with kids at the same time, but I hear it is considered a risk factor and people are being advised to travel separately. Please consult a migration agent for advice. Thanks

    Does educational gap matters ?
    I have completed B.com in 2014 and MBA in 2016. After that I was working as an accountant till date.
    When I reach out to an agency they told if your have educational gap then visa will be rejected also since I’m having a masters it will be very difficult for me to study their. Is these all are true ?

    • @lifewithchioma
      @lifewithchioma  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for subscribing. Keeping in mind that I'm not a migration agent, my experience is that as long as you explain the gap to demonstrate that you have used your time toward pursuing activitirs related to the course you want to study, that should be ok. Regarding your existing Masters, yes, it is seen as a red flag if you show you already have a Masters and want to study another.

And I am planning to relodge and made some show money for 32k AUD. I have some properties as well which I provided a deed of sale and one tax-declared house.

Do you think it is safe for me to take Cert 3, cert 4, and Diploma in hospitality management since I don't have a formal education in hospitality?
    I will appreciate your insights.

      Sad to hear that your visa was refused. If you were provided reasons for the refusal, please make sure to address them in your new application. A few other things to think about - studying toward a cert or diploma when you already have a Bachelor degree might raise suspicions, except of course you do not include your Bachelors in your application. Also if you are a manager already, why are you studying toward a cert which is a very basic qualification?

      Hi Olusegun, while you can apply for a Diploma, it is worth considering that Diplomas have gained a bit of a 'risk' reputation at the moment especially from applicants of certain countries. You may obtain enrolment from the school but hit a snag when you apply for your visa.
