      @@johnnytsunami6185 ... on the Roadstar forums, you'll come across posts from guys with 200K to 300K miles, and def. no engine rebuilds. These bikes are Yamaha's, so they are reliable. Period.
      I bought a 2005 Roadstar in 2018, and it currently has 45K miles on the odometer. In the world of Roadstars, that's barely broken in. This is a very reliable and comfortable street bike, especially if you want to rack up some serious mileage / go on medium - long distance trips.
      The only modification I made to mine was to get a shop to install a low back rest as I have back issues / problems and need a bit of lumbar support. Oh yeah, I've been riding street bikes of all kinds since I was 16 .... and that was 50 yrs ago.
      I've owned and ridden a lot of street bikes since then, and my '05 Roadstar is the best of them all.

    My old Yamaha V Star 1100 I use to have ran low idle when first start up too. They warm up and run extremely good. They are better bikes then Harley is. I am not going to use pride to get in my way when someone makes a good product. I love my country but give respect to the Japanese for making cool bikes. They are God's people too. I think Victory makes the best V Twin and have to say Victory is my favorite bikes but Yamaha bikes are really cool too.

    How do you guys feel about having a windshield?

    • @thedude4065
      @thedude4065 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      a windshield really helps reduce "rider fatigue" on long trips, and long trips are a major reason most riders buy a Roadstar.
      The short answer to your question is that "no windshield" only works if the majority of your annual riding mileage is spent riding around in cities, within commuting distance from your residence.
      If this is not "YOU" ... leave the windshield on. They serve a very functional purpose.

    Hi! Do you think this is a good beginner bike?

    • @beronib888
      @beronib888 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say no.. look at a smaller CC Vstar. Maybe a 650 if your smaller stature..if not then 900 or 1100 CC.

    • @thedude4065
      @thedude4065 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      General rule of thumb ... if you're brand new to riding a motorcycle, and it's your first purchase, try to limit your bikes engine size to a max. of 500 to 650 cc .
      That's more than enough power & weight for most beginners. Don't get peer pressured into making a "first bike purchase" of something that is too powerful and too heavy. That's a recipe for a bad experience. You want to slowly and safely build up your rider skills.
      Once you master that first bike ... then you can safely jump into the "big bike" category and safely treat yourself to .... a Roadstar

    sorry but I sell cars for a living and I feel obligated to question your statement about the bikes you sell vs your current inventory. I don't question for one second you sell 20 bikes a month or your average inventory age is 11 or 12 days. I question your inventory size. when you pulled into your garage you said you had like "X" amount of bikes in inventory (I thought I heard less 20). As you. pulled in there had to be north of 30 bikes in that garage. I understand the need to create urgency but when you're on video and blatantly exaggerating it makes a consumer question the validity of your entire video. Just my humble opinion.
