Haha that is an awesome anecdote Michael! And yes I do prepare but it really is just checking the basics. Check oil level of the engine, check tread wear and tire pressure and that is pretty much it. What is almost more important than preparing the car though is getting to know the track! So whenever I do a a trackday on a track that I don´t know (like last year on the Salzburgring), I always make sure to drive it in a sim. @@SingleRacerSVR Interesting, so the idea was to lower the traction so it would be easier to slide? Hey Alex, I have a question. I’m planning to be moving to Germany in the next few months and I’m curious how your exhaust laws are in terms of emissions and sound. I want to get some headers installed in the C63 but I’m worried about getting it through customs with a modified exhaust. Should I just leave it stock until I get there? Also what are the laws once it’s in the country. I’d love to straight pipe it; is that not possible or will I need to get sport cats and all that stuff? Thanks in advance!
Hey there Dan!! First of all welcome :) So the basics about tuning cars in germany is about not getting caught by the cops... just kidding There are parts available that come with a certificate that makes them road legal (called "ABE", which roughly translates to "general permission of use" or something) so I would advise you to stick to those since you won´t have any problems with them. Then there are parts that you come with a different certificate, that doesn´t automatically make them road legal, but you can have them installed in a shop and then a guy from the "TÜV" has to come and check the install and then that guy will certify that they´re road legal. You will basically have to check the parts that you´re buying and check that they either are already road legal in germany or can be made road legal. For some parts (suspension, mild exhaust, strut bars, etc.) that is pretty easy. For others (carbon fiber hood, headers) it can be a bit tricky. I would generally advise to buy parts through a shop that will deal with all of that for you. It´s a bit of a pain in the ass, but it´s the easiest way. Nice driving, but you should have let the Porsche past. He's on your tail because he wants to go. Once you could even see him indicate. Generally you just need to slow down and stay in your "lane" (as we know Nordschleife is recognised as 2 lanes on touristenfahrten), he won't overtake if you're on it, because that's dangerous.

Let me know when you´re going to the ring, maybe we can meet up!
The Extra Mile Ah I see, well I don’t plan to do much else to the C63 until I get it to Germany. Also, that would be a lot of fun and would be great meeting at the ring sometime!
Hey ! is a 4th lap coming up ? and maybe another beamng video ? Enjoyed it a lot tho!! i love the sound of it ! this little volskwagen pulled up for what it can do tho ! :o
Hey there Smokey!! Sadly no 4th lap for now, but there will be more Nordschleife content this year! And a new Beam episode will go live tomorrow :)
@@TheExtraMile wooh ! im exited :D hope you will be on the Nürburgring one day :D
@@kikilafrite09 Oh I gotta look for a Nordschleife mod for Beam now! :)
@@TheExtraMile now that is getting interesting!
Does it have LSD or open diff ?
Luckily this car came with the P30 Perfomance pack which includes an LSD. If it didn´t have one, that would have been one of the first upgrades.
Did you have ESP/traction control on?
Hey there! No it was completely turned off for the second and third lap.
Link to oil cooler please?
Hey there Danny, I don´t have a brand or specific model I could tell you. On the invoice it was listed as "oil cooler upgrade". All I know is that it has twice the capacity of the stock cooler.
ebay.us/ZIGPDN
On Ebay classified ads the cooler is sold for 1100€. Just write a message for a discount.
Here is also a Thread in the mbworld Forum about the cooler upgrade:

@@srg_c6357 Thank you for linking that!
Cool 👀Alex 🏁
Great video but at 5:22 it took me back to 80s porn and large sideboards at 5:46 I expected fik me ya 😂 at 8:25 my wife said ‘what the f-- are you watching’ I didn’t see the end of this video 💀
Hahaha, thank you for sharing that Jake!
@@TheExtraMile Haha some festive joy, I did have a laugh earlier as I was typing the comment. Hope it made you smile 😃 Have a great Christmas and look after that 63
Greaat!
Thank you Sergio!!
hi Alex ;)))
Bonjour LS!!
Thinks my S204 C 350 Diesel is faster ;-) But nice Lap Mate.
haha, it might be :)
The Extra Mile mir ging es genauso.
