Lots of people can afford this lmao. At most this is a $900 payment every month, and lots of retired and rich folks who are dying to explore the public lands who have the disposable income. I always laugh when people say “who can afford this?!?” Some of yall live in your own little world and don’t realize there are so many rich people 😂 the money in the overlanding world is staggering. I'm telling ya, buy a used cargo trailer and convert it yourself, that's going to be my winter project. This Mammoth looks great but it also screams - "break into me! I have more money than brains and this thing is full of expensive gear!"
Yes!!! I love your original design however for my family of three it just wasn't big enough, this on the other hand looks like the perfect size for us! I also love how you kept the same design and material language with this new design! Keep Rolling Guys!!!
Nice rig. I noticed a couple of things for you to consider. In the rear garage, you ran the water lines across the floor where they'll get crushed by any gear you throw in there. The pass through door is upside down and will fill up with dirt and other particles that fall into the roll up mechanism. The Dickinson heater gets so hot, you'll cook anyone sleeping in the bed right next to it. Better if it were further away. Otherwise, a very well designed unit.
Beautiful form factor. Now make a real camper interior like the Backpack armadillo -for 4 season conditions and you’ll have a game changer. Who needs a king size bed and 2 bunk beds in that bombproof dystopian shell? Put a real camper interior in there and watch them fly out the door. Thanks for evolving the camper shell. It’s beautiful!
This close to what America needs. Y’all are headed in the right direction. In Germany they have a trailer called the cube. I’ve told ROA (rv of America ). They come out with the roamer x. We need separate areas for bikes or camp stove( separate area needs electrical outlets and lights). Insulation and Air condition a small area. Great design!!!
I do love the layout of this. It’s really really nice, but I’m gonna say something. There’s a lot of people who are single who don’t have families or who are just looking for something like this, but don’t need all that bedspace. You should have two varieties one that has the bedspace, and then one that converts the bedspace into like, a fridge and a lounge area maybe a gaming system or a desk, etc. just saying and extra storage

Can’t wait to see this next week. I was set on ARB Earth Camper, but this truly looks so much better for the same price. Appears you found a sweet spot for weight, size and function. Great job from what I can see.
Interesting concept. We overland about 200 days a year pulling a 2019 nuCamp t@b 400 boon dock lite. Just a few comments; we paid $29k and I think they now are about 42k. For that we got what I consider an all season camper. Swapped the ACM batteries for lithium and upgraded to Goodyear tires. It has CoolCat heat pump for a/c and heat and if it gets to below 30degrees we can have floor heat from the ALDE hot water system. It can sleep three but it’s just my wife and I and two dogs. Wet bath and inside kitchen. Works perfect for us; if we arrive at camp late we can just go inside, shower, cook, and relax. I say all of this because there are campers out there that are more affordable and offer all the comforts you may want. I’m a bit suspect of that advertised weight of 2900lbs. Fill the fresh water tank, load up on food etc and you’ll probably be closer to 3200. Still manageable of course. Wonder what the hitch weight is?
Everything I want in a camper...and the price point I anticipated as well. Now, scalable...like a $30k version? I can't imagine $70k+ on a camper for a few trips (at most) per year...no matter how many years. Still, it's awesome. I may not be the market for this, but there are certainly people who are.
It would be nice to see the actual space, available for toilet/shower use (how big is it with closed curtain) and for the life of me I don't understand why it doesn't have AC
I’d compare this with our Boreas EOS and I think I’d still stick with the EOS for higher end components and lower profile tow size, but I could see how some might like this. Last thing I want on a trail though is something that tall.
Unfortunately for you the materials and labor required to build something like this is far more than people think. A cheap option would be wood, lower quality accessories, suspension etc. There would be minimal margin if any and they’d go out of business.
I wish it had a larger fridge/ freezer. Also where is the ac or at least a connection? Also this trailer is designed for families so it appears so it would had been able to have a tv for the kids or wife.
I am a fan of such off-road campers, precisely because they have such a different design, not the usual camping caravan mush. I've been observing the development for some time now, as I don't have to have one tomorrow... There are now several manufacturers, but they all seem to have a common goal. To get rich very quickly. A few years ago there was something similar for 40K. Today it costs twice as much. Absolutely incomprehensible. You can buy something with an engine for that... From my point of view, the price structure does not match what is on offer. Premium price and cheap China switches, plastic shutter guides. You can see where savings were made in every corner. You can buy directly from the Chinese and it only costs 1/4. Just a good design does not justify the purchase price. Many details such as the toilet/shower, insulation, etc. were not even considered. All in all, an interesting project with a lot of potential.
Couple things. Fully loaded weight? I saw online max gross was 5,200lbs just see a post that they had it loaded up and came in at 3,500lbs. Also that awning is so high up how much of a pain is it to open and close up? Then the vent for that heater is right under it, will that burn or melt the awning? Heater inside will probably burn someone being that close too the bed, especially when kids play around.
These look very similar to WeeRoll trailers out of Ocala, Fl. My Gladiator is a single axle version of this little turtle but has less storage and "gadgets". If it comes as viewed here for $70ishK, Im impressed!
